Villainous Family Young Master: My Life is Over

First-year students, after completing two months of coursework, would receive a one-month long holiday.

For many noble students, the first year curriculum wasn’t demanding at all as the current material had already been learned at home, and their main purpose in attending school was to expand their social circle.

Therefore, considering the students, the Royal Academy granted long and frequent holidays.

If modern students leaned about this system then would surely be very envious.

After Holiday, most students would normally choose to leave school and return home. But a small number of students who wanted to hone their skills would choose to stay at school.

There were even noble students like me who regarded the school as a refuge, not wanting to return to their impersonal old home.

But not wanting to go home didn’t mean I wouldn’t go home. Currently, only Lia in the Anglus Family had not yet started school, and she must be very lonely by herself.

As an older brother, it was worth going home for my sister, otherwise, Lia definitely wouldn’t give me a good look the next time we met.

I simply packed my luggage, re-donned the sword Master Belius had given me, and left the dormitory, walking towards the school gate.

Along the way, I could see students accompanied by servants continuously heading towards the school gate, and at the entrance, there were already many Magic carriages reserved for noble students waiting.

Magic Carriages are in a sense a special type of car with all kinds of Magic Spells and Runes engraved on them for comfort, speed and luxury. In terms of comfort alone some are even better than cars on earth.

During holidays, any noble family with even a slight bit of means would send Magic carriages specifically for pick-up and drop-off.

In order to show off their family’s prestige, they would even engage in an ’arms race’ with the speed, luxury, and scale of their carriages, much like parents in modern society driving various luxury cars to pick up their children from elementary school, a shameful trend.

Although I myself was a child of a great noble family, I didn’t wish for such treatment.

Fortunately, Marquis Bahod wouldn’t give me such treatment. No, it would be better to say, he would give me nothing.

This time, I had to use the Magic Train in the Capital to return to the Anglus Territory alone.

Although the technical exchange between the Antasia Empire and the Western Continent is limited, the Royal Capital still has Magic Trains and similar to the modern era, the Magic Trains are a effective means of transportation that even general public can access after saving some money.

Marquis Bahod wasn’t stingy on pocket despite me owing him 20,000 gold coins. Each month. I received a total of 30 gold coins as my pocket money. So money wasn’t a problem for me when it came to travelling.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Thus, I walked out of the Royal Academy, hired an ordinary carriage by the roadside, and headed to the Train Station in isekai, admiring the pedestrians and the sellers along the road.

...

The carriage wheels rolled steadily across the stone-paved streets of the Royal Capital.

I quietly rested my chin on my hand and gazed out the window.

The Capital was as lively as ever.

Rows of elegant buildings lined both sides of the road while countless pedestrians moved through the streets like flowing water.

Merchants loudly promoted their goods, and adventurers carrying weapons strode through the crowds.

”Fresh fruit! Directly imported from the southern islands!”

”High-quality monster leather! Cheapest in the district!”

”Magic tools for daily use! Guaranteed by the Alven Workshop!”

The noisy voices continuously entered my ears.

Honestly, despite having lived in this world for years already, scenes like this were very new and strange for me because I had only ever been out with Master Belius once.

And that one experience wasn’t very pleasent for me...

Recalling the incident a few years, I couldn’t help but nauseated then I quickly shook my head.

It’s all in the past, there is no need to think too much about it.

The carriage soon entered a broader avenue.

In the distance, I could already see the enormous silhouette of the Capital Central Station.

The station itself resembled a fusion between a medieval palace and modern transportation hub like Mumbai Central Station in India.

Tall white stone pillars supported an enormous arched roof. Colorful glass windows were embedded into the walls. At the front of the building, a large clock tower stood proudly, showing the time of the day.

”Young master, we have arrived.”

The carriage stopped near the entrance of station and the coachman’s voice came from outside.

I paid him a few silver coins, took my luggage, and stepped down from the carriage.

The moment I entered the station, a wave of noise rushed toward me.

Merchants, adventurers, ordinary citizens etc moved through the wide hall. Some stood in line before ticket counters. Some waited with luggage beside the walls. Others hurried toward different platforms.

Compared to the Royal Academy, the atmosphere here was completely different. It was very much similar to the modern era and it made me feel very comfortable.

”Train to Luden Province will depart in thirty minutes!”

”Passengers heading toward the northern territories, please proceed to platform three!”

”Cargo inspection is currently ongoing. Merchants, please prepare your documents!”

The announcements echoed through the station from a magic tool installed near the ceiling.

I looked around then walked up to the conspicuous ticket counter.

The woman behind the counter looked up and asked

”Welcome! Where would you like to go?”

”Anglus Territory. One first-class ticket.”

”Yes, please wait a moment.”

Her fingers moved quickly over a flat crystal plate. A few seconds later, a small ticket appeared from a magic device beside her.

”That will be 5 gold coins.”

I paid the money and received the ticket.

Although I could take third class ticket as well, but since I had the money, there was no need to treat myself badly.

”Your train will depart from platform five in twenty minutes. Please do not miss it.”

”Thank you.”

After leaving the counter, I headed toward platform five.

Along the way, I didn’t see any familiar face. But that’s to be expected. The people that I know are mostly nobles or servants of nobles. How could they be here?

Taking a public train was something merchants, adventurers, and common folks did.

In other words, I was probably the only one of my kind here.

Soon, I arrived at platform five.

A long black train stood on the tracks, awaiting passengers.

Its body was made from dark metal that reflected the sunlight. Blue magic lines ran along its surface like veins and at the front of the train, a large magic core was embedded behind a transparent crystal cover.

I showed my ticket to the staff member and entered the first-class carriage.

Inside, the seats were wide and soft, covered with dark red fabric. Each seat had a small table, and beside the window, a magic lamp floated gently in the air.

I placed my luggage on the rack above and sat by the window.
