She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Upon hearing the voice from the broadcast, Ah Chen and the people around her quickly picked up their tickets and inspected them.

Sure enough, the rules were written on the back of the ticket.

Meanwhile, the broadcast continued: ”For these seven days, you will have corresponding task experiences each day. Only by completing these experiences can you fully enjoy your time. In the end, those lucky enough to experience all projects will receive rich rewards. Good luck.”

Once the broadcast went silent, Ah Chen carefully examined the rules on the back of the ticket, her eyes focusing on the experience projects.

Day 1: Library

Day 2: Game Room

Day 3: Gym

Day 4: Cinema

Day 5: Swimming Pool

Day 6: Arcade

Day 7: Ball

Tip 1: You can only enjoy facilities on the cruise, like dining, coffee, music hall visits, and room rest after completing the respective experience each day.

Tip 2: If you do not complete the task experience, the cruise company will hold you accountable.

Tip 3: Nighttime on the cruise is dangerous, it’s best not to wander, resting in your room is a good choice.

This means if they don’t complete the project, they can’t return to their rooms.

Ah Chen put the ticket in her bag, glanced around, and conveniently located a cruise map nearby. She quickly found the library’s location, memorized the route, and headed towards the library.

Her actions were noticed by others, who quickly approached and also spotted the library’s location.

No one greeted her yet, clearly, this scenario made people more cautious compared to previous ones. They understood that in such single-player or elimination-based experiences, relying on others to get through was a pipe dream.

Anyone who has been in scenarios not involving team play knows not to expect assistance.

Some people were urgent, quickly moving towards the library.

Five minutes later, when Ah Chen arrived, the library was already crowded with people, naturally not just adventurers but also NPCs on the cruise.

At the library entrance stood a manager.

The manager paid no attention to Ah Chen as she entered, and did not stop her.

Once inside, she didn’t rush into anything but wandered around the library leisurely.

Other adventurers like her didn’t act hastily either. After a while, several people started picking books from the shelves. From some expressions, it was clear that certain book categories made them happy, obviously sparking their interest.

Ah Chen still didn’t move; the ticket didn’t specify how to experience the project.

Since it was a library, reading books was naturally primary, but for how long was not indicated.

There were also common rules like a library needing to maintain silence, even the stupidest adventurers wouldn’t make such a rookie mistake.

Still, some, like Ah Chen, didn’t hurry to grab books, carefully observing every corner and remaining highly alert.

Eventually, Ah Chen picked a particularly thin book, found a place to sit, and slowly started reading.

Experiencing the library couldn’t just mean reading, could it?

There had to be either a time limit or something to do with the content.

Half an hour later, some adventurers couldn’t hold back, put the book back on the shelf, and headed out.

Sure enough, they were stopped.

Many noticed the commotion there as the manager took out three books from a drawer and nonchalantly asked, ”In just half an hour, do you really have these three books memorized? Whether you have or not will be tested; are you ready? If so, let’s begin.”

Upon hearing this, the adventurer standing at the door turned pale.

He had taken three books in total, one he liked, one with an unusual cover, and the other one he was curious about because it was extraordinarily thick.

Sweat rolled down his forehead; he had merely browsed through the books without committing the content to memory.

Most importantly, it seemed like the manager was antagonizing him, choosing the thickest book.

He hadn’t read a single word from that book, only skimmed it; its content was entirely unknown to him.

Indeed, when the manager asked about its content, his eyes went blank.

The manager asked three consecutive questions, and the adventurer couldn’t answer any, looking terribly embarrassed: ”I knew you guys only pretend to read, attempting to bluff your way through; you’re not allowed to pass, go back and read properly, try again next time.”

The sweaty adventurer returned to find the three books, turning them over with a look of despair.

So thick, so much content, dense text like a heavenly book, was he going to fail here on the first day?

Not just this adventurer but others who grabbed multiple books at once now looked bitter, wishing they’d taken fewer.

Meanwhile, those who picked one book or hadn’t grabbed one yet were relieved, knowing there were traps.

Some even found calligraphy sheets, which weren’t thick, and started writing, taking little time.

Ah Chen looked at the thin book before her and also observed the person writing the calligraphy sheet.

If not for the rules here, Ah Chen would gladly sit and read, but purposefully memorizing unnecessary content was somewhat frustrating, even with her photographic memory.

Once she completed this project, she could revisit leisurely with no issues, attempting the experience again.

After memorizing all the content, she returned the book to its exact spot, then walked toward the library entrance with many eyes on her back.

Seeing her approach, the manager took out a thin book from the drawer, momentarily stunned at her demeanor, finding it amusing how one might become an NPC in this world.

At that moment, Ah Chen sensed a very unusual gaze.

Glancing surreptitiously, she spotted a handsome young man browsing a book, with a cactus on the table beside him.

Surprisingly, he had followed her here.

Not following Bai Xingwen?

Vaguely, she heard the cactus speaking: ”Bro, she seems close to passing this level, your chance encounter didn’t work well.”

Bai Chao’s face hardened: ”You’re a cactus now, best not to speak.”

Xiao Pan: ”No one else can hear.”

”Are you prepared?” the manager asked, ”I wonder about your results, I’ll need to test you.”

Ah Chen replied, ”I’m ready.”

Then the manager asked three questions, to which she responded fluently.

The manager flashed a moment of frustration, quickly replaced by a smile: ”Not bad, you can leave.”

The manager handed Ah Chen a card: ”This is a room card, also a card for various leisure venues. With it, you can entertain and dine, valid for one day.”

Ah Chen took it: ”Thank you.”

”If I come back here to read again, will I be tested?” she asked.

The manager, still smiling, said: ”Of course not, you are a serious reader and have earned the right to experience the library.”

Ah Chen exited the library.

At this time, the person with the calligraphy sheet left the library, showing many that passing this project wasn’t solely about reading; other activities were possible, though many had already picked books and couldn’t easily switch.
