Super Gene Hunting Ground

The Great Dragon Empire gathered a hundred thousand elite troops to prepare to attack the Flying Leopard Empire.

The Flying Leopard Empire also assembled its army overnight, ready to face the Great Dragon Empire.

Both empires struggled throughout the night. By the dawn of the next day, the Great Dragon Empire’s army was substantially assembled, while the Flying Leopard Empire continued gathering its forces from various places and rushing to the border area.

The Flying Leopard Emperor stayed up all night, discussing the battle plans with his subordinates, and continually received intelligence from the Great Dragon Empire’s informants.

After breakfast in the morning, the Flying Leopard Emperor napped briefly in his chamber.

A guard came running to wake the Flying Leopard Emperor,

”Your Majesty, the Eldest Prince of the Great Dragon Empire, Long Aotian, is here to see you. He is waiting for you in the Royal Palace hall.”

The Flying Leopard Emperor frowned slightly and said,

”The inevitable has come; Long Aotian’s visit must be related to the war. Let’s go to the Royal Palace hall to meet him.”

...

In the Royal Palace hall, Long Aotian stood arrogantly and slightly bowed to the Flying Leopard Emperor on the throne, saying,

”Eldest Prince of the Great Dragon Empire, Long Aotian, pays respects to the Flying Leopard Emperor!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor looked at Long Aotian, smiled faintly, and said,

”Nephew Ao Tian, I hope you are well. Coming to see me so early, is there an urgent matter?”

”Indeed, I came for a matter of utmost importance concerning the survival of our two nations.”

”Haha, you speak so cryptically, what is this matter?”

The Flying Leopard Emperor spoke lightly, showing no signs of alarm.

If it were two years earlier, the Flying Leopard Emperor might have been fearful, but now, the Great Dragon Empire has lost both the War God and Long Kui, two Emperor Level Transcendent experts. Bullying the Flying Leopard Empire won’t be as easy.

Long Aotian slightly bowed to the Flying Leopard Emperor again and said,

”I come at the command of the Emperor of Great Dragon seeking a person from the Flying Leopard Emperor.”

”Seeking a person?”

The Flying Leopard Emperor was taken aback, then laughed and said,

”Whom do you seek? Why would you come to me for a person?”

Long Aotian spoke each word slowly,

”The person I seek is named Yang Xiao!”

”Buzz!”

In the hall, when the officials of the Flying Leopard Empire heard the name ”Yang Xiao,” each one’s heart gave a sudden jolt.

Yang Xiao is quite a celebrity now, known by everyone.

The Flying Leopard Emperor was also quite surprised and, after pausing a moment, said,

”You seek Yang Xiao? Why? On what grounds should I hand Yang Xiao over to you?”

Long Aotian looked at the Flying Leopard Emperor and spoke firmly,

”Yang Xiao killed the Principal Long Kui of the Heavenly Dragon Academy, then killed the War God of the Great Dragon Empire. Now, he has killed my third brother. Yang Xiao and our Great Dragon Empire now share a deep-seated hatred. We must bring Yang Xiao back to avenge my deceased brother!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor and the dozens of his subordinates in the hall listened to Long Aotian’s words with much astonishment.

Yang Xiao killing Long Kui and the War God was well-known, it happened over two years ago.

But when did Yang Xiao kill the Third Prince of the Great Dragon Empire?

Amid his amazement, the Flying Leopard Emperor composed himself a bit and asked,

”Long Aotian, when did Yang Xiao kill your third brother? I’ve not heard of this.”

”Six years ago, my third brother accompanied me in conquering a planet named Earth, Yang Xiao’s homeland.

Later, I returned to Witch Star, leaving my third brother to continue ruling Earth,

However, a year ago, Yang Xiao stealthily returned to Earth and killed my third brother.

I only learned about this three months ago when I visited Earth.

Flying Leopard Emperor, tell me, should we not avenge my third brother? Should we not demand Yang Xiao from you?”

The Royal Palace hall fell silent.

No one expected Yang Xiao to have killed the Great Dragon Empire’s Third Prince, making the Great Dragon Emperor’s anger and attack on the Flying Leopard Empire understandable.

The Flying Leopard Emperor’s face was grave.

Yang Xiao has previously slain several key figures of the Great Dragon Empire, and now he’s killed the Great Dragon Emperor’s son. No wonder the Great Dragon Empire is furious enough to attack the Flying Leopard Empire.

”Long Aotian, are you certain Yang Xiao killed the Third Prince?”

”It’s absolutely true, there’s no need to doubt it.”

If it were an ordinary person, the Flying Leopard Emperor might have let Long Aotian take them away. He would rather not have two nations go to war for one person, causing devastation.

But Yang Xiao is not ordinary; he is nominally the State Preceptor of the Flying Leopard Empire—essentially its ally and a future cornerstone.

How could the Flying Leopard Emperor possibly hand Yang Xiao over to the Emperor of Great Dragon?

The Flying Leopard Emperor took a deep breath and said calmly,

”Long Aotian, I am deeply saddened by what you’ve mentioned,

but, Yang Xiao is our State Preceptor, and now a member of the Flying Leopard Empire’s Gold Medal Guard Team—how can we retain our dignity if I hand him over?”

”So, you refuse to hand Yang Xiao over?”

”Correct!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor replied categorically.

Long Aotian sneered, saying,

”I just returned to Witch Star from Earth yesterday; my father mobilized a hundred thousand elite guards upon hearing my report.

These elite guards are poised for action, awaiting the Emperor of Great Dragon’s orders to attack the Flying Leopard Empire, capture Yang Xiao, and avenge the Third Prince.

Flying Leopard Emperor, are you truly willing to rekindle war with the Great Dragon Empire over Yang Xiao?

Think carefully!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor laughed coldly, saying,

”No need to think. Long Aotian, tell your father that if he wants war, let him come. I’ll be waiting.

There’s no way I’ll hand over Yang Xiao!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor’s presence was like thunder, his attitude resolute, with a definitive air.

This emotion quickly spread among those in the hall, inspiring someone to shout,

”We, the Flying Leopard Empire, will not sell out our friends or allies. If they want war, let us fight to the death.”

”Indeed, Yang Xiao has been gracious to our Flying Leopard Empire, helping us multiple times. We will never betray a friend.”

Several war generals stepped forward directly, saying to the Flying Leopard Emperor:

”Your Highness, we’ll head to the border now to fight the Great Dragon Empire to the death!”

”To the death!”

”To the death!”

...

Everyone in the hall shouted loudly.

Long Aotian had not expected such an outcome, becoming somewhat uncertain himself. He glanced around the room and said to the Flying Leopard Emperor:

”Your Majesty, you will regret today’s decision!”

”Regret? Haha, I’ve never known regret,

as for war, we’ve fought before; I’ve crossed paths with your father dozens of times, one more doesn’t matter.

I would like to know, with no War God or Long Kui, how will you fight our Flying Leopard Empire?”
