Super Gene Hunting Ground

Long Aotian rode the spaceship, leading twenty warships. Early in the morning, he flew from Tis City to Earth, arriving directly above Wentian City.

”Bomb it for me, flatten this city!”

”Boom, boom, boom....”

Hundreds of laser cannons fired, striking inside Wentian City. The buildings where people lived were destroyed one by one, collapsing.

Most of the people in the city hadn’t evacuated in time, and were reduced to cannon fodder.

Nobody could resist Long Aotian’s fleet.

The twenty warships bombarded Wentian City for over two hours, almost destroying all the buildings that hadn’t fallen after Earth’s great cataclysm, killing tens of thousands directly.

Yesterday, some people teamed up overnight to escape the city, while a large number of others hid in underground subway tunnels, air-raid shelters, and parking garages.

Although Long Aotian’s fleet was powerful, they didn’t have the manpower to search each hiding spot individually.

”Your Highness, we have bombed all the buildings we could. What’s the next step? Do we need to land?”

”No need. Destroying their homes is enough. We’ve probably killed a lot of people too. After we finish with Wentian City, let’s bomb Magic City and also Yang Xiao’s former stronghold, Nanmu City.”

Thus, Long Aotian took the fleet over Magic City and bombed it again.

The city’s appearance, which had somewhat recovered after the great cataclysm, was once again shattered, debris flying, smoke billowing, and bodies mutilated.

Tens of thousands died in the bombardment, their cries filling the city.

In the afternoon, Long Aotian also bombarded Nanmu City, almost leveling it completely.

By this time, it was already evening.

Long Aotian took the fleet away from Nanmu City, resting in the sky above a wilderness.

The enormous spaceship floated at high altitude, with several warships patrolling around for guard.

Inside the spaceship, Long Aotian held a meeting with dozens of his followers.

”Your Highness, what’s our next move?”

Having bombed Wentian City, Magic City, and Nanmu City consecutively today, Long Aotian felt somewhat relieved inside.

”Tomorrow, we will explore other parts of this planet, to see if we can find any surviving people from Witch Star.”

”Should we continue bombing?”

”Today, we killed over ten thousand of Yang Xiao’s people, which is a bit of revenge for the deceased Third Prince. Our real enemy is Yang Xiao, but he is not on this planet. Even if we destroyed the whole planet, it wouldn’t harm Yang Xiao one bit.

Yang Xiao has probably made Purple Origin Star his home since its evolution resources are abundant and incomparable to Earth. We’ll seek revenge for this after we return to Witch Star.”

Two subordinates nodded:

”Your Highness is wise. So, no more bombing tomorrow?”

Long Aotian sighed and said:

”Let’s give the Genetic Store some face. The Genetic Store has already made Earth an important base for future investment and development. If we truly kill everyone, the Genetic Store will surely be upset.

The Great Dragon Empire is not as strong as it used to be, let’s avoid offending the Genetic Store if we can.

However, Yang Xiao, I will one day defeat him and viciously torture him to appease my own hatred!”

The third day, Long Aotian took the fleet to other cities on the planet. These were his bases when he once conquered Earth, where he knew many familiar faces.

Long Aotian visited some old acquaintances, gathering information about the local situation.

The enormous spaceship floated in the sky. Dozens of Witch Star guards hidden in the jungle saw this and burst into tears of excitement, running out of the forest to meet Long Aotian and others.

Through these people, Long Aotian learned about events that occurred after he left.

”Your Highness, Yang Xiao once came by spaceship, leaving ten small warships behind. You should be careful, and those fifty Empire Level experts he brought from Purple Origin Star are also quite formidable.”

Long Aotian sneered, saying:

”Yang Xiao’s country’s Wentian City, Magic City, and his hometown Nanmu City have been flattened by me. We bombed them yesterday, killing tens of thousands. It’s some revenge for you.

Since the Third Prince is gone, I don’t have time to linger. Come with me for now; later, after I kill Yang Xiao, we will come back.

The people on this planet will always be our slaves. They can never change this fate.”

After staying for a few days, Long Aotian, thinking of the Great Dragon Empire, took everyone and left.

Long Yongjun, Zhou Qiang, and others hid deep in the mountains and dared not come out. After waiting for over a month, ensuring Long Aotian had left for a long time and wouldn’t return anytime soon, everyone gradually emerged from the forest.

Seeing their destroyed homes and fallen comrades, everyone wept bitterly.

Especially in Nanmu City, its construction contained the sweat and blood of Yang Xiao, Zhou Qiang, Long Yongjun, Huang Wen, and others, particularly the Kongming Academy and Xianan University beneath Yuelu Mountain, now the Ancient Martial Arts inheritance base for Shaolin Temple and Shenming Mountain Sect.

This time, bombarded by Long Aotian’s warships, the losses were severe, with most houses destroyed and many Ancient Martial Arts books reduced to ashes.

Lan Xin and Monk Ben Yin were particularly sorrowful. They had spent five or six years reviving the Shenming Mountain Sect and Shaolin Temple, making Yuelu Mountain the center of Xuanming Country’s Ancient Martial Arts heritage, only to see it destroyed by Long Aotian’s barrage.

The only fortunate thing was that one to two thousand disciples from the Shaolin and Shenming Mountain Sects managed to evacuate in time, which was a small mercy amidst the misfortunes.

Long Yongjun gathered everyone to discuss the reconstruction.

They decided to move the global administrative center to Zongli City, near Qingyun City and Jinzhou, where the overall genetic development level was considered decent.

Zongli City and Jinzhou were supercities in the Xuanming Country region before Earth’s great cataclysm, alongside Wentian City and Magic City. They were also international cities.

Later, in the wars for domination of Xuanming Country, Yang Xiao first unified Jinzhou and Zongli City, connecting them with Kongming City, North City Province, and Green Dragon City, becoming the Southern King.

Long Yongjun said:

”The population and overall genetic development level of Zongli City are quite good. Along with nearby Qingyun City and Tianyue City, which are also major cities, it is suitable to set this as the new center of Xuanming Country and the global administrative center.

Lan Xin, Ben Yin, now Ancient Martial Arts is a great advantage in the Xuanming Country region. Are you two considering moving to Zongli City?”

Lan Xin thought for a moment and said:

”Yuelu Mountain has good Feng Shui. We can rebuild since only the buildings were destroyed. I’ve gotten used to here, so we will rebuild the Shenming Mountain Sect on the spot, without moving.”

Monk Ben Yin also said:

”Shenming Mountain Sect is south of Yuelu Mountain, our Shaolin Temple is north of Yuelu Mountain, it’s excellent, so we will not relocate either, but rebuild here. Kongming City area in Xuanming Country inland can serve as the Ancient Martial Arts center, radiating throughout the Xuanming Country region.”

Huang Wen, Qin Yu, Deng Xiao, and Feifei said:

”Nanmu City is where Yang Xiao started, where we met and started over together. We will stay here to rebuild Nanmu City so that when Yang Xiao returns, we can give him a surprise.”

Long Yongjun, Zhou Qiang, and Zhao Benling also nodded in agreement upon hearing this.

Zhou Qiang said:

”I will continue to stay in Nanmu City, to build it into the center of Ancient Martial Arts for Xuanming Country and even the world, while also introducing Emei Sect, Wudang Sect, and other sects over.

Long Yongjun will lead the construction of the global administrative center in Zongli City,

Zhao Benling will go to Tis City to secure the gene evolution resource treasure house of Tis City’s three provinces,

If we work together and unite as one, we will surely rebuild Xuanming Country and believe that Yang Xiao will eventually come back to lead us in rebuilding Earth’s civilization.”

”Alright!”

Everyone shouted in unison:

”Unite together to rebuild Earth!”

Huang Wen thought of something and asked:

”Long Aotian came and went so hurriedly, there must be something big happening on Witch Star. Can we inform Yang Xiao of what happened here, to let him be on guard against Long Aotian’s revenge?”

Long Yongjun shook his head,

”Without long-range interstellar spaceships, our small warships cannot travel across hundreds of light-years. Yang Xiao will have to depend on himself.”
