Super Gene Hunting Ground

Wanyan He said to his father:

”Father, Yang Leader of Purple Origin Star has killed Long Kui of the Great Dragon Empire this time, causing significant loss to the Great Dragon Empire.

Before I returned to Witch Star, I already communicated with Hai Mu and others from the Youming Empire. We must prevent the Great Dragon Emperor from attacking Purple Origin Star in anger.

Yang Xiao is now our ally of the Flying Leopard Empire, just like last time, we absolutely cannot let the Great Dragon Empire eliminate Yang Xiao.

Protecting Yang Xiao and maintaining the alliance with Purple Origin Star is extremely beneficial for the long-term development of our Flying Leopard Empire.”

The Flying Leopard Emperor nodded,

”Indeed, just like last time, I will go find the White Elephant Emperor to discuss it and form another alliance army to put pressure on the Great Dragon Emperor.

He lost Long Kui this time, I estimate he’s already lost much of his confidence to wage war against Purple Origin Star.”

On the side, the Second Prince, Wanyan Ying, didn’t want all the credit to be taken by the Eldest Prince Wanyan He, so he said:

”Father, while Yang Xiao of Purple Origin Star is temporarily helpful to us, we also shouldn’t be unprepared.”

The Flying Leopard Emperor was stunned, looking at the Second Prince,

”What do you mean by that?”

The first War General Wanyan Kang, the first rich man Qin Chuan, and others in the hall immediately looked at Wanyan Ying.

They and Wanyan Ying were a team; their thoughts were simple, assisting Wanyan Ying in securing the imperial succession would naturally benefit their families.

Now the appearance of the Eldest Prince Wanyan He complicates the succession issue of the Flying Leopard Empire, and they urgently need to alter the current situation to prevent Wanyan He from continuing his success.

Wanyan Ying bowed to his father and said:

”Father, I think Yang Xiao of Purple Origin Star is merely using us. We must not act according to his instructions.

On the surface, we received a larger allocation of Crystal Stones from Purple Origin Star, but have you not considered that these past two alliance formations were initiated by our Flying Leopard Empire?

Our relationship with the Great Dragon Empire, originally easing, is becoming increasingly strained. Continuing this way, I fear it will become an irreconcilable enmity.

Our Flying Leopard Empire is originally weaker than the Great Dragon Empire, and forming an enmity with them is not a very good strategy.”

Upon hearing this, Wanyan He sneered and asked:

”Have you forgotten about the war the Great Dragon Empire launched against us a few years ago? Don’t you see us as mortal enemies?

Now with our alliance with Purple Origin Star, we can gain more Crystal Stone resources and a strong ally. What’s wrong with that?”

Wanyan Ying did not back down, raising his voice:

”I’m afraid the benefits the royal brother sees are only temporary. Yang Xiao has been continually using our past resentment towards the Great Dragon Empire, giving us some benefits, and urging us to confront the Great Dragon Empire. Now the hatred deepens, and one day it will burst again. Let’s see how you will cope then.

Yang Xiao and his people are far away at Purple Origin Star. Even if they were once willing to come help you, distant water can’t quench present thirst.”

”Can’t you see the Great Dragon Empire is currently being weakened by our joint efforts? The strength of our Flying Leopard Empire is continually growing.”

”That’s just for now,”

...

The Flying Leopard Emperor furrowed his brows and said coldly:

”Alright, stop quarreling!”

Wanyan He and Wanyan Ying each glared at one another, then closed their mouths and took two steps back.

The first War General Wanyan Kang chuckled and said:

”Emperor, I think the Second Prince’s words aren’t without reason; one must always be cautious of others!”

”Yes, although I have some personal grievances with Yang Xiao, today’s words aren’t for private vendettas. Personally, I’m in favor of being cautious about an alliance with Yang Xiao. At least, we should hold back a little, keep Yang Xiao under control, so we won’t be caught off guard.”

Qin Chuan also stood up to speak.

Both Wanyan Kang and Qin Chuan understood that Wanyan He, with Yang Xiao as a powerful ally, would have a significant impact on future imperial succession.

They now need to work hard to sever the alliance relationship between Yang Xiao and Wanyan He, minimizing Yang Xiao’s impact.

Though Wanyan He achieved some remarkable things within a short period, the foundation of the dynasty was inadequate, and few people were willing to publicly stand up for him.

Seeing that everyone seemed to be willing to accept Wanyan Ying’s opinion, Wanyan He became anxious and said:

”Father, we’ve managed to find a strong ally, and we mustn’t forfeit this hard-earned favorable situation due to some suspicions!”

The Flying Leopard Emperor looked at Wanyan He and chuckled bashfully, saying:

”He’er, your father has his discretion; Wanyan Ying’s points aren’t entirely unfounded. Ultimately, Yang Xiao and we are using each other, yet our alliance won’t have issues for now, but we should be more cautious in the future.”

”Yes, Father. Then if the Great Dragon Empire intends to attack Purple Origin Star, we will?”

”Haha... Don’t worry, son. Your father isn’t senile yet. As long as Yang Xiao remains useful to us, of course, we need to protect him.

Just like last time, we’ll restrict the Great Dragon Empire from leading troops to attack Purple Origin Star, but if they send an assassination team, that’s beyond our influence.

It’s not bad for Yang Xiao to bear some pressure; at least it makes him realize that without our restriction of the Great Dragon Empire from Witch Star, he’d already be dead.”

Wanyan He was taken aback, immediately bowing to his father:

”Father, you are wise!”

”Haha.....”

...

In the Royal Palace of the Great Dragon Empire, guards responsible for relaying messages continually rushed in.

”Emperor, the Flying Leopard Empire has deployed fifty thousand troops, currently moving towards the border town at the junction of the two countries.”

”Emperor, the Youming Empire has deployed fifty thousand troops, currently moving towards the border town at the junction of the two countries.”

”Emperor, Fire Wolf Country has deployed five thousand troops.”

”Emperor, Wind Eagle Country has deployed three thousand troops.”

...

The Emperor of Great Dragon sat on the throne, his brows furrowed.

The atmosphere inside the Royal Palace was extremely oppressive.

The War God paced back and forth in the palace, agitated, cursing:

”This is too much, damn it, let’s go for a life-or-death battle with them, I refuse to believe that we’re afraid of them.”

...

Long Jing walked out and said to the Emperor:

”Father, we think there’s no need to worry too much. Their goal is probably not to wage war with us, just like last time, they aim to prevent us from deploying troops to Purple Origin Star,

I believe they will soon send someone over to state their demands. We should just strengthen our defenses and observe the situation closely.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon glanced at Long Jing, nodding in appreciation.

Long Aotian then spoke:

”What if they turn deception into reality and suddenly launch an attack, what then?”

The Fourth Prince then said:

”I think they’re not that foolish. To conquer our Great Dragon Empire, I estimate that most of their tens of thousands of troops would be annihilated. I believe neither the Youming Empire nor the Flying Leopard Empire are ready for such sacrifice.”

...

As they were speaking, a guard ran in to report:

”Emperor, the Second Prince Wanyan He of the Flying Leopard Empire requests an audience. He says he is representing the Alliance Army to deliver a message.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon sneered:

”Coming so abruptly, let him in, let’s see what he has to say.”

A moment later, the Second Prince Wanyan Ying of the Flying Leopard Empire walked into the grand hall.

Everyone stared angrily at Wanyan Ying.

Wanyan Ying smiled faintly and calmly walked up to the Emperor of Great Dragon, bowed slightly, and said:

”Wanyan Ying, Second Prince of the Flying Leopard Empire, representing the Alliance Army of various countries, specifically here to deliver a letter to the Emperor of Great Dragon.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon coldly said:

”Oh, the Alliance Army of various countries, what a grand display. Go on, what’s the letter about?”

Wanyan Ying took out a white jade token storing audiovisual data from his Space Ring, holding it in his palm, and used Genetic Evolution Energy to activate it. A flash of light appeared, revealing a roundtable meeting scene.

In the light and shadow, the Flying Leopard Emperor, White Elephant Emperor, and other emperors from eighteen countries were holding an alliance meeting, during which the White Elephant Emperor said in the video recording:

”Brother Long, how have you been? I heard about the unfortunate passing of the Dragon Leader at Heavenly Dragon Academy, and I feel very sorry!

We heard you plan to launch a major offensive against Purple Origin Star to avenge Dragon Leader. To protect our interests in the various empires on Purple Origin Star, we convened a meeting and issued a joint statement, hoping you’ll consider carefully,

We don’t want you to lead troops to attack Purple Origin Star, disrupting the hard-earned peace and affecting the supply of our Crystal Stone resources,

To demonstrate our resolve, we’ve assembled an Alliance Army from various countries, stationed near the border cities of the Great Dragon Empire. Should you insist on attacking Purple Origin Star, we would have no choice but to attack the Great Dragon Empire,

We also hope not to meet you on the battlefield, but as it concerns national interests, we must act this way and hope you’ll think it over thoroughly.”

The audiovisual scene ended abruptly with a flash, and the light disappeared.

The War God looked at Wanyan Ying, roaring:

”Damn it, this is too much. Do you think our Great Dragon Empire is easily intimidated? Isn’t it just about going to war? What of it, war!”

”Yes, isn’t it just about going to war? Let’s go to war!”

”I’ll personally lead troops and destroy the Flying Leopard Empire first.”

...

Inside the hall, dozens of military generals were agitated, bursting into profanity demanding to go to war.

Wanyan Ying was taken aback, his originally composed expression turned into one of fear as he gazed at the imposing Emperor of Great Dragon seated on the throne.

Wanyan Ying voluntarily requested this mission from his father to gain some recognition, thinking that under the banner of the Alliance Army, people of the Great Dragon Empire would be intimidated into submission. Contrary to his expectations, this group was filled with such fierce and unruly killing intent.

The Emperor of Great Dragon glanced at everyone and calmly said:

”Everyone, quiet down, Wanyan Ying is just a messenger, don’t scare him.”

Zhan Sheng and the others quieted down, coldly staring at Wanyan Ying, their gazes as sharp as swords, making Wanyan Ying feel prickles on his back.

”Second Prince, go back and tell your father, and also tell your so-called Alliance Army not to incessantly test the limits of my patience,

Dragon Leader was killed by Yang Xiao on Purple Origin Star, this is a vengeance I must take.”

The Second Prince Wanyan Ying quickly bowed, saying:

”Emperor, I too feel sorry about the death of Dragon Leader. If you want to avenge him, personally, I think it’s justified. I have a suggestion, not sure if I should say it?”

”Oh, what suggestion do you have?”

”I think you have no need to battle with the Alliance Army of eighteen countries, just as long as you don’t send troops to Purple Origin Star, we wouldn’t actively attack the Great Dragon Empire,

Your goal is merely to avenge Dragon Leader, isn’t it simple? You could dispatch an assassination team into Purple Origin Star to directly kill Yang Xiao.”

Upon hearing this, Long Jing was greatly astonished.

The Emperor of Great Dragon heard and smiled slightly,

”Is this your suggestion, or is it your father’s?”

Wanyan Ying smiled:

”You’ve just seen the letter from the Alliance Army. We only restrict you from deploying troops to attack Purple Origin Star, not from taking private revenge.”
