Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Buzz!”

The dozens of imperial ministers present, except for Long Aotian and the War God, felt a shock in their minds.

The Fourth Prince revealed Long Aotian’s pursuit of Yang Xiao, and everyone finally understood that Yang Xiao had been staying on Witch Star for the past two years, only recently returning to Purple Origin Star with the help of the Flying Leopard Empire.

Upon learning this, the doubts in everyone’s hearts were resolved.

The Emperor of Great Dragon swept a cold glance at the War God and the Eldest Prince Long Aotian, and said in a deep voice:

”Ao Tian, is what the Fourth Prince said true?”

Long Aotian dared not lie and had to bow:

”Yes, but Father, Yang Xiao is ultimately a scourge to our people on Witch Star. I did this to think about protecting the long-term interests of our Great Dragon Empire.”

”Hmph, since you wanted to assassinate Yang Xiao to eliminate all future troubles, why did you fail? With Yang Xiao alone in the Great Dragon Empire, wasn’t that enough for you to kill him?

Now he’s escaped, and even returned to Purple Origin Star. If it were you, wouldn’t you seek revenge?

Oh, what can I say about you?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon sighed, and Long Aotian, trembling with fear, quickly knelt on the ground to plead for forgiveness.

”Father, it was all my negligence in letting Yang Xiao escape. Please allow me to accompany my third uncle in the campaign to Purple Origin Star. I will certainly kill Yang Xiao.”

”Hmph, you couldn’t kill Yang Xiao when he was alone in the Great Dragon Empire, and now he’s returned to Purple Origin Star with the protection of hundreds of thousands of savages. How do you plan to kill him?”

”I—”

Long Aotian was speechless for a moment, looking at the Emperor of Great Dragon.

The Fourth Prince rejoiced inwardly, and the other princes were also delighted to see Long Aotian being reprimanded by their father, though none dared to show it.

The War God coughed lightly, trying to mediate, and said:

”Brother, Ao Tian had good intentions, but acted inappropriately, too hastily, and didn’t anticipate Yang Xiao’s cunning, allowing him to escape secretly.

Looking back, I too bear responsibility. Initially, I thought killing Yang Xiao was a trivial matter and should have been easy to resolve, so I didn’t report it to you.

This time, when I lead the troops to attack Purple Origin Star, I will ensure Yang Xiao’s death and eliminate the threat permanently. Brother, you need not worry; what can a group of savages do to overturn the heavens?”

Not only was the War God the Emperor of Great Dragon’s brother, but he was also one of the most powerful figures in the Great Dragon Empire after the Emperor. With him speaking on behalf of Long Aotian, naturally, no one else dared to speak up.

The Emperor of Great Dragon’s expression softened slightly and he said:

”Third brother, are you sure about attacking Purple Origin Star?”

The War God immediately rose, clasping his fists toward the Emperor of Great Dragon:

”Brother, since we ceased hostilities with the Flying Leopard Empire, the nation’s strength has been somewhat restored over the past two or three years.

Taking advantage of this peaceful period, controlling more evolution resources can support our empire’s further growth.

I believe now is the time to attack Purple Origin Star. Firstly, the savage tribes of Purple Origin Star provide an excellent excuse,

and secondly, other empires have drastically reduced their garrisons on Purple Origin Star and no longer have exclusive cities there. If we attack Purple Origin Star, we won’t directly conflict with other empires.

Let me take fifty thousand elite soldiers into Purple Origin Star, quickly sweep through the local savage tribes,

and once we control Purple Origin Star, the deed is done. The Flying Leopard Empire and the Youming Empire will be too late to protest,

...”

The War God elaborated from the perspective of warfare strategies, and everyone present found his reasoning convincing.

The Emperor of Great Dragon, still indignant from being pressured in the meeting at Mingluo City by the Flying Leopard Emperor and the White Elephant Emperor, erupted in anger:

”Fine, since the Flying Leopard Emperor and the White Elephant Emperor are ruthless, don’t blame me for being unjust. Third brother, immediately gather fifty thousand elites, divide them among the empire’s three large transport spaceships, and set out for the Purple Origin Empire to sweep the savage tribes of Purple Origin Star, and relieve my anger thoroughly.”

”Yes, rest assured brother, I will certainly sweep through Purple Origin Star.”

”Father, I request to accompany my third uncle on the campaign.”

Long Aotian seized the opportunity to speak.

The Emperor of Great Dragon nodded and said:

”Good, follow your third uncle on the campaign, and be careful.”

”Thank you for your concern, Father. I will not disgrace the mission.”

...

Three days later, the Emperor of Great Dragon was discussing the detailed plans for the deployment with the War God, Long Aotian, and others.

”Brother, the troops are almost assembled. We should be able to depart on the spaceship in another two days.”

”Hmm, very good, it will be hard work for you again, third brother.”

”Brother, it’s my duty to fight for the empire.”

...

A guard hurriedly entered the Great Hall,

”Report to the Emperor, urgent military news.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon was taken aback and said:

”What urgent military news?”

”Near the border city adjacent to the Flying Leopard Empire, a large military force has suddenly appeared, estimated to be around fifty thousand strong.”

”What? What does that old Wanyan want?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon, shocked and furious, shouted.

”Moreover, in a small city near the Youming Empire’s border, a large force has also appeared, also around fifty thousand strong.”

”Ah?”

Everyone in the Great Hall exclaimed in unison, and even the War God and the Emperor of Great Dragon turned pale.

If one Flying Leopard Empire wasn’t a deadly threat, adding the Youming Empire changed the situation.

”Additionally,”

”What more?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon yelled in exasperation.

The reporting guard hesitated, then said with a look of horror:

”Additionally, about thirty thousand warriors from a dozen other empires have assembled in another small city adjacent to the Youming Empire.”

”What? What do they want?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon shouted in alarm.

The Great Hall fell into a dead silence, and a fearful atmosphere quickly spread.

Thirteen thousand troops, a dozen empires uniting, this situation was even more perilous than the previous conflict between the Great Dragon Empire and the Flying Leopard Empire.

At that time, only the Flying Leopard Empire and the Great Dragon Empire were at war. As an ally of the Flying Leopard Empire, the Youming Empire did not commit as many forces and only sent a symbolic threat against the Great Dragon Empire.

This time, the allied forces of more than a dozen countries assembling as an army in such a short time threatened the survival of the Great Dragon Empire.

Even the initially fierce and warlike War God felt thoroughly lost, anxiously looking at the Emperor of Great Dragon.

The Emperor of Great Dragon, seated on the throne, recalled the Flying Leopard Emperor and the White Elephant Emperor’s warnings at the meeting in Mingluo City a few days ago, his heart filled with fear.

It seemed this time the other side was playing for real.

The only consolation was that the War God’s fifty thousand elite soldiers had not yet left the Great Dragon Empire. If they had already left Witch Star to campaign on Purple Origin Star, the remaining strength of the empire would have been dismal, and the entire empire would soon be conquered by the allied forces.

If that happened, the Great Dragon Empire would vanish from Witch Star, divided among other empires.
