Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Brother, what brings you to Heavenly Dragon Academy? Is there something important?”

”Yes, I do have an urgent matter to discuss with you. You probably have some understanding of the external situation, right?”

Long Kui nodded.

Heavenly Dragon Academy has its own intelligence system. At the same time, as an important institution of the Great Dragon Empire, some crucial information is directly relayed to Long Kui to keep him updated on significant external affairs.

”I’ve heard that the leader of the Purple Origin Star has proposed changing the distribution ratio of crystal stones, reducing our Great Dragon Empire’s share by ten percent. Now, the Flying Leopard Empire and Youming Empire have joined forces, rallying dozens of empires to pressure us into accepting the new distribution plan.

Brother, in your rage, you wanted to conquer Purple Origin Star, but the joint military of Flying Leopard Empire and Youming Empire threatens the safety of the Great Dragon Empire. Is that correct?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon nodded.

”The situation is urgent now, so I had no choice but to seek your help.”

Long Kui smiled gently and said:

”I don’t think the Flying Leopard Empire genuinely intends to start a war. After the wars in previous years, both sides were severely weakened, and they’ve just started to recover a little. The Flying Leopard Emperor wouldn’t rashly start a war.

Their goal is merely to threaten our Great Dragon Empire, preventing us from sending troops to attack Purple Origin Star, thereby ensuring a stable supply of crystal resources. As long as you don’t send troops, their alliance army will naturally retreat. So, brother, you need not worry.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon looked at Long Kui, smiling:

”Although you’re sequestered in Heavenly Dragon Academy, you’ve got a clear view of the external situation, and I admire that!”

Long Kui chuckled and said:

”Brother, you couldn’t have come to me just for this, could you?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon nodded,

”This time, we were trapped by the leader of the wild tribes on Purple Origin Star in alliance with the Flying Leopard Empire and others, which dealt a severe blow to the prestige of our Great Dragon Empire. Everyone is frustrated beyond measure.

Now that the alliance army of the Flying Leopard Empire and Youming Empire is pressing us, we have no choice but to yield. Yet, I’m stifled inside, as is every soldier under my command.

Just think of our dignified Great Dragon Empire, being manipulated by the wild tribes of Purple Origin Star, unable to advance or retreat, and letting everyone laugh at us. How can we swallow this humiliation?”

”Brother, what’s your intention?”

”Originally, I wanted the War God, our third brother, to lead an army to conquer Purple Origin Star. But given the current situation, it’s impossible to dispatch a large army. However, I’m thinking of sending you to Purple Origin Star to secretly assassinate the leader of the wild tribes as a warning to others.

Otherwise, they might really think our Great Dragon Empire is easily bullied, behaving recklessly. Today they cut our share by ten percent, who knows how much they will cut tomorrow.”

Long Kui was stunned, looking at the Emperor of Great Dragon,

”Brother, you mean to send me to assassinate the leader of the wild tribes on Purple Origin Star?”

”Yes, the War God must remain and command the military to defend against foreign invasions. I also can’t leave, so after much thought, you’re the most suitable choice. I’m counting on you, Brother Kui, to make a trip to Purple Origin Star.”

Long Kui hesitated for a moment, nodded, and said:

”Since you personally came to Heavenly Dragon Academy, I have no reason to refuse. As a member of the Long Family royal bloodline, I have a responsibility and obligation to contribute to the empire. I will do my best.”

”Good, then I thank you, Brother Kui. We all await your good news, which will cheer up the entire empire.”

”I remember the wild tribe leader’s Genetic Evolution Level is not yet at the Emperor Level Realm, right?”

”Of course not. Without the special Genetic Evolution Method from Witch Star, reaching the Emperor Level Realm is almost impossible.”

”Okay, I understand, but I would like to bring Jing’er with me, is that okay?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon was taken aback,

”Why bring Jing’er along?”

”Jing’er has been diligently cultivating at Heavenly Dragon Academy. I noticed she hasn’t been in a good mood lately and thought to take her out to relax and also to gain some experience.

For Jing’er, she needs more training to help her grow faster.”

Long Kui was somewhat aware of what happened after Long Jing’s duel with Yang Xiao at the Flying Leopard Academy.

Later, Long Jing was upset about the close relationship between Yang Xiao and Xiao Ling and left, resulting in her current unhappiness, which Long Kui also noticed.

Of course, when it comes to young people’s emotional issues, he couldn’t intervene, leaving it to time to wear away Long Jing’s emotions.

The Emperor of Great Dragon hesitated for a moment, then nodded,

”Alright, Jing’er’s safety will be in your hands.”

”Hehe, don’t worry. With Long Jing’s current Heavenly Dragon Beast Soul and Empire Middle Level Realm cultivation, it’s difficult for someone at the Emperor Level Realm to harm her,

Besides, I will take an elite team from Heavenly Dragon Academy with me, so there’s no need to worry about safety.”

...

Long Jing was sitting quietly cultivating in her small courtyard, with her maid Lan’er standing not far away.

Long Kui was at the gate of the courtyard, knocking on the door.

Xiao Lan quickly ran over to open it. Seeing it was the dean, she immediately bowed and said:

”Hello, Dean!”

”Hmm, is Long Jing in?”

”She’s meditating in the courtyard.”

”Good, I have some matters to discuss with her.”

Xiao Lan led Long Kui to a pavilion in the center of the courtyard. Long Jing was sitting not far away on the grass meditating, with waves of Qi fluctuations appearing around her.

Xiao Lan wanted to call Long Jing but was stopped by Long Kui reaching out his hand.

”No need to call her. She knows I’m here but is currently in her cultivation session and cannot stop just yet. I’ll wait for her here.”

Xiao Lan nodded, quickly pouring a cup of tea for Long Kui.

Long Kui held the teacup, quietly watching Long Jing cultivate nearby.

After about half an hour, Long Jing finished her cultivation, opened her eyes, jumped up from the ground, and bowed with a smile toward the pavilion where the dean was:

”Uncle Kui, you’re here.”

”Hehe, Jing’er, you’ve made considerable progress lately. I see you’re not far from breaking through to the Empire Level Advanced realm.”

”Uncle Kui, you’re teasing me. I’ve just recently broken through to the Empire Middle Level Realm, and I’m far from the Advanced realm. It’s all thanks to your and Tutor Yuan’s careful guidance,

By the way, is there something you need from me, Uncle Kui?”

Long Kui took a sip of tea, smiled faintly, and said:

”In a few days, I’ll be leading a team to examine Purple Origin Star. Tutor Yuan will also accompany us. Are you interested in joining us?”

Long Jing was stunned,

Purple Origin Star? Isn’t that where Yang Xiao used to live?

Last time at the Flying Leopard Academy, Yang Xiao told her some general information about Purple Origin Star. Thinking of Yang Xiao, Long Jing felt a flutter in her heart for some reason.

Since she and Yang Xiao parted ways on Earth, she hasn’t heard from him again. Yang Xiao lived on Purple Origin Star for over two years. She is curious about what fortuitous encounters Yang Xiao had there that allowed him to improve his Genetic Evolution so quickly.

Long Jing nodded and said:

”I don’t have much to do recently. If it’s convenient, I could tag along with you to Purple Origin Star for a visit.”

”Good, then it’s settled. Three days from now, meet me at my office, and we’ll go to Purple Origin Star together.”

”Okay!”
