Super Gene Hunting Ground

The Emperor of Great Dragon wiped the cold sweat off his forehead, took a deep breath, and said helplessly:

”Third Brother, cancel the plan to march to Purple Origin Star, and immediately concentrate the army at several key defense points to strengthen vigilance.”

”Brother?”

The War God shouted unwillingly.

The Emperor of Great Dragon waved his hand and sighed:

”We were reckless. The Purple Origin Star is linked to the interests of crystal stone mines of over a dozen empires, and they must have defenses in place. As things stand, we have no choice but to concede. Two-tenths is still better than getting nothing, isn’t it?”

”But how can I swallow this indignation?”

The War God, also a man of fiery temperament, shouted angrily.

”A true man can bend and stretch. Even if you can’t swallow it, you have to. As long as we work diligently and strive for prosperity, strengthening our national power, one day we will defeat our opponents and unify Witch Star. Then, you can naturally vent your grievances to your heart’s content.”

”Father, we can bow to the Empire Alliance Army of Witch Star, but we don’t need to fear Yang Xiao of Purple Origin Star. We must punish him to set an example for others.”

The Eldest Prince, Long Aotian, stepped forward and said.

The Emperor of Great Dragon glanced at Long Aotian and asked:

”Do you have any suggestions?”

”To kill a Yang Xiao doesn’t require too large of an army, just dispatch an elite assassination squad to accomplish it.

Killing Yang Xiao would serve as a warning to the barbarian tribes of Purple Origin Star, so they won’t dare to underestimate our Great Dragon Empire in the future.

Once Yang Xiao is dead, the barbarian tribes of Purple Origin Star will be leaderless and naturally easier for us to control in the future.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon looked at Long Aotian, then at the War God, and asked:

”Third Brother, what do you think?”

”I think Aotian makes sense. If we don’t show Yang Xiao some severity, what will we do next time when he joins other empires to reduce our share of crystal stones?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon nodded,

”Hmm, you’re not wrong, but now with over a hundred thousand troops besieging our borders, it’s impossible for you, Third Brother, to go personally to Purple Origin Star. Who should we send? Who can undertake the task of assassinating Yang Xiao among tens of thousands of tribes?”

Silence filled the great hall. After a moment, Long Aotian said:

”I nominate someone who is absolutely capable of killing Yang Xiao.”

”Who?”

”The headmaster of Heavenly Dragon Academy.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon was taken aback and said:

”You mean your Uncle Long Kui?”

Long Aotian nodded.

The War God immediately said excitedly:

”That’s right, Cousin Long Kui is at the Emperor Level realm. Going to Purple Origin Star to assassinate Yang Xiao is as easy as turning over a hand for him. If this task is entrusted to Cousin Long Kui, it shouldn’t be a problem.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon hesitated for a moment and said:

”But Heavenly Dragon Academy needs Long Kui to oversee it. He himself is also a great general against the Empire Alliance Army. If he leaves, wouldn’t we lose a part of our power too?”

”Brother, I guess the Youming Empire and the Flying Leopard Emperor are not truly planning to start a war with us. If they were, they would have started long ago, wouldn’t they?

Their heavy troops stationed at the border are merely to threaten us not to send troops to Purple Origin Star. If we don’t send troops there, their army will naturally withdraw.

Whether Cousin Long Kui is home or not doesn’t matter, does it?”

Long Aotian added:

”Father, if we don’t suppress the barbarian tribes of Purple Origin Star this time, give them some hardship to look at, in the future, they will truly become presumptuous, and we will also be laughed at by other empires.”

”Hmm, alright, tomorrow I’ll personally go to Heavenly Dragon Academy and persuade Long Kui to take a trip to Purple Origin Star. Aotian, since you have a grudge against Yang Xiao, don’t go. Let Jino take Long Kui back.”

”Yes, Father.”

Long Aotian was genuinely worried that his father would send him as a guide. Without a large army as backup, he still felt a bit uneasy about Yang Xiao.

...

A quiet courtyard at Heavenly Dragon Academy.

Inside a garden pavilion,

The Emperor of Great Dragon and Long Kui, the headmaster of Heavenly Dragon Academy, sat opposite each other. Between them was a stone table with snacks and tea placed on it.

All the guards had retreated outside the courtyard,

Leaving only the two of them in the entire garden.

Long Kui picked up a teacup,

”Brother, this is spring tea I picked myself, have a taste.”

The Emperor of Great Dragon smiled slightly, picked up the teacup, and sipped gently,

”Hmm, indeed good tea. It’s a skill that only you understand to use Blue Star Grass to roast into tea leaves.”

”Brother, you’re flattering me. I learned this skill from you back in the day, have you forgotten?”

”Haha, I’ve been so busy these decades; where would I find the time to grow, pick, or roast tea leaves? Your life is much more relaxed, not concerning yourself with worldly affairs and cultivating peacefully here at Heavenly Dragon Academy; that’s a blessing in itself, isn’t it?”

”Brother, if you wish for such a peaceful life, why not pass the throne onto the children sooner and come join me in tasting tea and chatting, watching the sunrise and sunset at leisure. Isn’t that delightful?”

”Ah, I wish, but among my dozen or so princes, not one can shoulder the great responsibility. How can I comfortably pass the throne to them?

It’s not just about my personal honor and disgrace but the fate of the entire Long Family and even the destiny of the entire Great Dragon Empire. I must be careful!”

Long Kui smiled slightly:

”What, Brother is still planning to pass the throne to Long Aotian’s group?”

”Who else can I pass it to? They are, after all, descendants of our Long Family. People not of our kin are different at heart!”

”Didn’t you ever consider the matter I mentioned to you last time?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon was taken aback, looked at Long Kui, and sank into silence.

After a long while, he picked up the teacup and took a hard sip, sighing:

”Passing it to Jing’er? Is that feasible? Our Great Dragon Empire has never had a female emperor!

Even if passing it to Jing’er isn’t an issue, what about after Jing’er? Her children wouldn’t be of our Long Family lineage, at least not completely, right?

Isn’t it to say that in a few hundred years, our Great Dragon Empire would belong to outsiders?”

Long Kui laughed:

”Jing’er possesses the Heavenly Dragon Beast Soul. Our Long Family hasn’t seen a Heavenly Dragon Beast Soul for hundreds of years, and in terms of Genetic Evolution Talent, among your dozens of princes and princesses, whose gene lineage is nobler than Jing’er’s?

Jing’er is only in her early twenties and is already at the Empire Middle Level realm, breaking through to the Emperor Level realm is just around the corner. If I’m not mistaken, as long as resources are sufficient and cultivation appropriate, Jing’er is highly likely to become our Witch Star’s first Saint Level Evolver in five or six hundred years,

If in the future Great Dragon Empire is under Jing’er’s control, what a glorious spectacle it would be? Can you imagine it?

Your dream of unifying Witch Star could only be realized in Jing’er’s hands, don’t you want that?”

The Emperor of Great Dragon looked at Long Kui, remained silent for a long time, sighed, finished the tea in his cup in one gulp, shook his head, and said:

”This matter is of great importance, involving too many aspects. Jing’er’s achievements are still small; bringing her up prematurely will only bring her disaster. Let’s not mention this again, it’s enough for you and me to understand.”
