Super Gene Hunting Ground

The atmosphere in the office was very peculiar.

Zhu Peng and Xiao Ling had come to understand Yang Xiao somewhat by now. Seeing this recommendation letter from such an influential person for the first time, they felt quite amazed.

Indeed, Yang Xiao was a genius, no wonder his performance always exceeded ordinary imagination.

The day Yang Xiao fought Qin Yue, Qin Xiaotian, Zhu Peng, and Xiao Ling were all witnesses. To this day, they remain deeply impressed by Yang Xiao’s mysterious Beast Soul and stunning Soul Skills.

The dean’s heart was in turmoil at this moment.

Gu Hai was an old friend of his. A hundred years ago, they had cultivated together at Flying Leopard Academy, but later went their separate ways. Their latest meeting was five or six years ago.

This recommendation letter was indeed written by Gu Hai, of that Xinghe was sure.

So, here’s the problem,

Yang Xiao was recommended by his old friend Gu Hai, and was apparently a so-called genius. Although he hadn’t met Yang Xiao, considering Yang Xiao had killed Qin Yue from the Empire Level Realm while he was at King Level Realm, he should be considered an exceptional talent.

Now, Yang Xiao has killed Qin Yue. Qin Yue’s father is the richest man in the Flying Leopard Empire, and his mother is the current emperor’s sister. The Qin family is now demanding he hand over Yang Xiao.

What should he do?

Xinghe’s expression was awkward, his heart conflicted.

Qin He and Qin Xiaotian, too, were feeling uneasy. They originally thought Yang Xiao was just an ordinary commoner, yet they didn’t expect he had the background of the Genetic Store.

No one across the entirety of Witch Star didn’t fear the power of the Genetic Store. Even the emperors of several empires had to show some respect to the Genetic Store.

The Genetic Store is said to be neutral, not participating in the fights for profits, yet if they decide to protect someone, no one dares to challenge them recklessly.

Qin He swallowed hard and asked,

”Dean, is this recommendation letter real?”

Xinghe nodded,

”The person in this image is indeed my long-time friend Gu Hai, who is now the head of the Genetic Store’s Great Dragon Empire headquarters. Judging by his words, Yang Xiao has a very special relationship with him. Otherwise, given his lofty personality, he has never recommended anyone to me. If he recommends Yang Xiao, there must be a reason.”

After Xinghe finished speaking, he let out a long sigh and said,

”Boss Qin, things have gotten a bit complicated now, and I’m in a bind.”

Dean Xinghe didn’t want to admit on the spot, in front of Zhu Peng, Xiao Ling, and Director Lu, that he had been planning to sacrifice Yang Xiao to gain the Qin family’s forgiveness, so he vaguely expressed that he was in a difficult position.

Qin He immediately said coldly,

”From this recommendation letter, there seems to be nothing special about the relationship between Yang Xiao and Mr. Gu Hai. Mr. Gu Hai also said it was just a matter of fate, perhaps just a senior looking out for a junior.

No matter who recommended Yang Xiao, he killed Qin Yue, and this matter cannot simply disappear without consequence.

Yang Xiao brutally murdered a classmate, and it was under circumstances where Qin Yue was begging for mercy on his knees. This is very heinous, and such a person does not deserve to cultivate at Flying Leopard Academy.

So, on behalf of the Qin family, as well as Qin Yue’s mother, the current emperor’s sister, I demand that Flying Leopard Academy expel Yang Xiao.”

”Buzz!”

Everyone present felt their minds buzzing.

Xiao Ling and Zhu Peng exchanged glances, their expressions very uneasy.

It was the first time Director Lu had heard that Yang Xiao killed Qin Yue, causing him to be in shock.

Dean Xinghe didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to offend either side.

The Flying Leopard Empire and the Qin family sponsor the academy with hundreds of billions of Crystal Coins annually, making them the biggest benefactors. If he turned against them publicly, it would lead to a series of troubles.

However, Yang Xiao was recommended by Gu Hai, who was a friend, and if Yang Xiao was truly a genius, given Xinghe’s talent-loving nature, he wouldn’t easily sacrifice Yang Xiao.

Xiao Ling suddenly stood up and loudly said,

”What is the Qin family? Just because you have some money, does that make you extraordinary? Demanding our Flying Leopard Academy to expel Yang Xiao—do you think our Flying Leopard Academy is one you can order around?

Even if the Flying Leopard Emperor comes, he would have to speak politely to our dean, and he wouldn’t dare to arrogantly command our Flying Leopard Academy to do anything. You are simply too ridiculous,

Our dean is definitely not the kind of person who curries favor and panders to powerful people!

Dean, am I right?”

Xinghe: ”...”

Xiao Ling’s words were righteous and inspiring, making people feel uplifted. Dean Xinghe immediately straightened his spine, glanced at Xiao Ling with appreciation, and then calmly said,

”Boss Qin, the academy’s rules on life-and-death duels have always been that those who wager must accept the consequences. Since Qin Yue initiated the life-and-death challenge, he should bear all the consequences.

Now you demand I punish Yang Xiao because Qin Yue was defeated and killed—how do I answer to the more than 20,000 faculty and students of the entire academy? What about the rules and authority of our Flying Leopard Academy?

Frankly, your demands are something I cannot fulfill!”

Qin He stood up angrily and said in a loud voice,

”You would rather offend the Flying Leopard Emperor and the richest Qin family to protect this kid Yang Xiao? Dean, have you thought about the consequences?”

Hearing Qin He’s threat, Xinghe also became angry, and immediately said coldly,

”Qin He, don’t try to use the emperor to pressure me. Hmph, let me tell you something you might not want to hear: in the Flying Leopard Empire, no one has the power to suppress our Flying Leopard Academy, including the emperor and your Qin family.
