Super Gene Hunting Ground

Yang Xiao returned to the Royal Inn and began to contemplate his future.

He can’t go back to Purple Origin Star for the time being, and staying on Witch Star means he has to find something to do. One of the important purposes of coming to Witch Star is to find the cultivation technique for genetic evolution.

At present, the best way to greatly enhance the evolution space is to obtain the marrow cleansing cultivation technique.

However, after today’s encounter with the War God, he completely abandoned that fantasy. It is almost impossible for him to legitimately enter the Great Dragon Empire’s Golden Guard to obtain the marrow cleansing technique.

The War God made it very clear today—Yang Xiao is to remain on Witch Star and is not allowed to return to Purple Origin Star, which is tantamount to letting him fend for himself on Witch Star.

Even though Yang Xiao receives one billion Crystal Coins as pocket money per month, it’s simply a drop in the bucket for him to rely on this resource to break through the Emperor Level Realm.

If breakthrough in genetic evolution could be achieved solely through Crystal Coins, he wouldn’t have needed to come to Witch Star.

Yang Xiao thought for a while, then left his room to find Xue Gang.

”Brother Xue, do you have a map of Witch Star?”

”No, why would you need that? The reception of the Royal Inn has a public map that provides the details of all the streets and attractions in Dragon City.”

”Is there a place outside selling maps?”

”The nearby general store to the Royal Inn sells them.”

”Could you please help me buy one and bring it back?”

”No problem.”

Xue Gang immediately sent a guard downstairs to purchase a map.

A moment later, the guard handed Yang Xiao an egg-sized sphere.

Yang Xiao took it and gently pressed the button on it, and a virtual three-dimensional map appeared in the air.

Yang Xiao said thanks,

”How many Crystal Coins do I owe you?”

”Young Master Yang, no need to be polite. This map is just two thousand Gold Coins, and Prince instructed us to try to meet your needs, as long as you don’t vanish or make things difficult for us. We working for others find it tough too.”

Yang Xiao laughed,

”Don’t worry. With your care, I’m glad to stay, and I’m not about to run away.”

Since witnessing Yang Xiao purchase the Nine Heavens Flying Bird Wings for two billion Crystal Coins, Xue Gang has held him in high regard. Today, he also went to the Imperial Palace and met the War God, which made Yang Xiao seem even more mysterious to them, so they’re very polite to him.

Long Aotian only instructed Xue Gang to ensure Yang Xiao’s safety with 24-hour close protection, without labeling Yang Xiao as an enemy or opponent, so he naturally dared not to make things difficult for Yang Xiao on his own initiative.

Yang Xiao looked at the map for a while, asked some questions about Witch Star, then went back into his room, closed the door, and continued studying the map of Dragon City.

This three-dimensional map is very detailed, almost marking all significant locations in Dragon City.

Yang Xiao searched aimlessly on the map and suddenly brightened up upon seeing the ”Genetic Evolution Research Institute.”

”Hey, isn’t this the place where dragons are detained?”

Yang Xiao never forgot what Long Xiang said about her father and brother being captured.

Previously, the boss from Purple Origin Star probing into dragon news only confirmed that the Genetic Evolution Research Institute indeed holds several dragons, but these Divine Dragons from Earth are highly protected and impossible to free.

Yang Xiao walked out of the room and pointed at the Genetic Evolution Research Institute on the map, asking,

”Brother Xue Gang, what is this place for? Can we go there to have fun?”

Xue Gang was taken aback, laughed, and said,

”Young Master Yang, this is the Genetic Evolution Research Institute, directly managed by the Imperial Palace. It’s heavily guarded, and ordinary people without permission can’t enter. Anyone approaching within a thousand meters of the Institute would be chased away immediately, plus, there’s a specialized defense light screen protection network there.”

”So, Young Master Yang, are you interested in this place?”

”Ah, I was just curious after seeing the name. My genetic evolution level isn’t very high, so I thought I could seek help from this so-called research institute to improve my genetic evolution level.”

Xue Gang laughed and said,

”The Genetic Evolution Research Institute directly serves the Royal Family of the Great Dragon Empire, researching the genes of various races and monsters to find excellent genetic codes to improve our genetic evolution level.”

”Oh, I see. If it’s impossible to visit, then forget it. I was just casually asking.”

Yang Xiao didn’t show strong interest to avoid arousing Xue Gang’s suspicion.

Yang Xiao pointed again at the ”Royal Chess Academy” marked on the map, and asked,

”What’s this place?”

”This is the Royal Chess Academy, the sanctuary for cultivating spiritual power in the Great Dragon Empire. The Empire’s top chess Grandmaster resides in the Academy.”

”Really? Can we visit?”

Xue Gang chuckled again and said,

”Young Master Yang, the Royal Chess Academy is even more mysterious than the Genetic Evolution Research Institute. Ordinary people can’t enter, only those specializing in spiritual power among Royal Family members and generals who made significant contributions can access it for training.”

”Ah, brother Xue, have you ever been to the Royal Chess Academy?”

”Alas, I don’t have that blessing. I broke through genetic evolution to Emperor Level purely by luck, ”

”During the war between the Great Dragon Empire and the Snow Leopard Empire and Youming Empire, they were short of soldiers, and I was selected for the reserve team. After taking the special medicine from the Genetic Evolution Research Institute, I forcefully broke through to Empire Level Realm.”

Yang Xiao had heard from Jino before that evolvers at King Level Realm could forcefully open the evolution bottleneck by using a special genetic acceleration potion, and with the aid of substantial genetic potion, break through to Empire Level Realm.

However, because the genes of these evolvers were forcefully damaged, they remained at the Empire Level Realm permanently without further enhancement.

For the following days, Yang Xiao followed the map’s indications and visited Dragon City’s attractions one by one, with Xue Gang escorting him with four guards, making their interactions harmonious and joyful.

About ten days later, Long Aotian visited the Royal Inn again, found Yang Xiao, and opened a video file for him to watch.

In the footage, the War God and dozens of people took an oath, agreeing on the redistribution agreement of Resource Star Crystal Stone resources.

”Yang Xiao, several major empires on Witch Star have reached an agreement and accepted your new proposal, ”

”Moreover, we’ve coordinated our own purchased Crystal Stone proportions, ”

”What you need to do now is record a video file and bring it back to the Wild King for execution.”

Yang Xiao carefully reviewed the detailed new proposal from Long Aotian.

Every thirty days, they distribute Purple Crystal Stone, with ninety percent bought according to agreed proportions, and the remaining ten percent auctioned to the highest bidder.

Now, the Empire’s mining sites on Purple Origin Star are retained for a year, and after that, they have to hand over the sites and slave miners to the Guangfu Clan.

All imperial forces mining on Purple Origin Star leave a representative who forms a Crystal Stone Purchasing Association, which handles purchasing affairs with the Wild King of Guangfu City.

Presently, the Empires on Purple Origin Star leave some troops to form a 20,000-person joint force led by Jino and vice-led by Hai Mu and Aguda.

...

There are many additional clauses, all added after discussions with the War God and others.

Compared to Yang Xiao’s cooperation proposal, this new plan adds various restrictive conditions, especially retaining a force of 20,000 elite soldiers stationed on Purple Origin Star, serving as a monitoring and retaining Witch Star’s control over Purple Origin Star.

Nevertheless, this new proposal generally accepts Yang Xiao’s ideas, granting the Guangfu Clan free and dignified lives as cooperative partners of Witch Stars.

Yang Xiao nodded after viewing the details of the new proposal, and said,

”Okay, I can accept this proposal.”

”Since Yang Leader accepts the plan, please record a video message. I will return to Purple Origin Star in a few days to deliver your message to the Wild King. ”

”Once you finish recording, you’ll be free on Witch Star. From tomorrow, Xue Gang and the others won’t follow you. You can continue to stay here, but you’ll need to cover the daily cost of five thousand Crystal Coins, ”

”You can also leave here and find your own place to live, ”

”Every thirty days, we’ll deposit a billion Crystal Coins into your Black Gold Card. Of course, if you die, we won’t deposit money.”

”In summary, you’re free.”

”Does Prince mean I’m left to fend for myself now? You won’t send people to assassinate me, right?”

Long Aotian paused, then laughed heartily,

”Yang Xiao, you overestimate yourself. If I wanted to kill you, I’d do it openly and honorably. Why opt for assassination?”

”Relax, my words hold weight. However, any hardships you encounter outside are yours to handle.”
