Super Gene Hunting Ground

Heh, sending out ten thousand Wildman warriors? That’s impossible.”

Yang Xiao chuckled and immediately dismissed his own suggestion.

Long Aotian: ”...”

Damn, messing with me, weren’t you just talking about sending out ten thousand Wildman warriors?

Yang Xiao glanced at Long Aotian and said with a smile:

”Don’t rush, listen to me. Sending out ten thousand Wildman warriors is our limit, as Fire Wolf City, Karachi City, and the Earth Village mining base all require a large number of guards for protection,

How about this, I can field 6,000 Wildman warriors, and they’re the elite Wildmen, personally led by our Wildman King and a few Elders, to cut off Hai Mu’s mineral transport,

Of course, you also dispatch 6,000 people, and we set up a joint command center to collectively direct the battle against Hai Mu.”

Long Aotian and Jino, among others, thought this was reasonable. After all, deploying six thousand elite Wildman warriors was enough to change the balance of power between them and Hai Mu.

”Brother Yang, do you have any specific battle plans?”

Jino asked.

Yang Xiao pointed to the map and said:

”We abandon frontal assaults to reduce casualties, the 6,000 elite Wildmen will form a rapid strike team to sweep through all the mines at Snow Leopard City and blow up all mining shafts,

The Prince will send a team of 6,000 to quickly raid all mining bases within the White Elephant City’s territory and blow up all the shafts,

Meanwhile, Karachi City will form an information team of several hundred people to monitor the movements of Hai Mu and Aguda’s troops day and night in the forests near White Elephant City and Snow Leopard City, preventing sudden attacks on us,

If the enemy dispatches troops, we can quickly adjust our strategy, rally forces, intercept them, and even surround and eliminate them.....”

Yang Xiao eloquently presented a broad strategic and tactical framework to everyone.

Yang Xiao had experienced over a year of practical combat during Earth’s apocalypse, and had read Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Art of War, and historical biographies. Now, devising a strategy to deal with Hai Mu and Aguda’s forces was not difficult.

Yang Xiao suddenly realized that he might actually have some talent for military strategy.

Am I getting a bit complacent?

For Long Aotian and the Wildmen, who had always relied on brute force, Yang Xiao’s strategic ideas were quite shocking.

The Witch Star people and Wildmen would employ some cleverness in fights, but using an overarching strategic mindset like Yang Xiao’s to achieve a strategic goal was rare for them.

The Witch Star people were a bit better, using simple schemes in large battles, while Wildmen rarely resorted to more than minor tactics.

Yang Xiao’s proposal to establish a dedicated information team to monitor enemy movements around the clock and report to the command center for timely adjustments greatly intrigued Long Aotian.

Although Witch Star boasts high technology and strong Genetic Evolution Ability, they’re far behind in strategic and tactical aspects, where human civilization, especially the Xuanming Country’s, still holds a substantial advantage.

Long Aotian nodded and said:

”Alright, I agree with Yang Leader’s suggestion. When do we form the joint combat team and command center?”

”Sooner rather than later, you head back now, prepare the six thousand elite warriors, and I’ll come over with our six thousand elite forces this afternoon. Tonight we’ll finalize all plans and war routes, and tomorrow morning initiate the war, swiftly destroying all enemy mining bases,

Oh, if the opponent’s miners don’t resist, I suggest we don’t pursue them.”

”Why? Killing miners would also reduce their mining capability, wouldn’t it?”

”Every life is precious, if we can spare them, we should. Besides, at the end of the day, war will end, and keeping them could be useful in the future,

Most of these miners are slaves; we could declare that they can flee to the mines at Pegasus City or Karachi City to work, under our protection.”

Jino immediately said:

”Brother Yang, I think your second suggestion is good. We sweep through their mines and let the miner slaves work at our mining bases, as we’re short on manpower.”

Yang Xiao added:

”Accepting these miner slaves requires careful identity checks to prevent spies from infiltrating, though even if spies are there, their impact in the mines should be minimal.”

They negotiated for about an hour, discussing many details before Long Aotian left with Jino and others.

”Prince, this is your first time in Wildman City. Would you like to have lunch before leaving?”

The Wildman King offered.

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”Does the Prince have the mind for eating now?”

Long Aotian was taken aback and retorted:

”I’m actually hungry. Wildman City won’t be stingy enough to not even provide a meal, right?”

Jino and others also realized they were hungry.

Yang Xiao laughed:

”There’s plenty of food, but you’ve been out all day. What if Hai Mu comes to attack when you commanders aren’t home? You’d go back to find your place wrecked.”

”You, Yang Leader, you, saying this really spoils the mood and seriously affects my appetite.”

Long Aotian gave Yang Xiao a glare and left with Jino and others.

Before arriving, Long Aotian was anxious, and after kneeling to apologize, he was filled with resentment and anger. Now, as he left, while his heart still harbored shame and anger, it also held hope and joy for salvaging the Great Dragon Empire’s war situation.

The next day, Yang Xiao did not break his promise, and brought dozens of transport ships at dawn to carry Wildman warriors to the outskirts of Karachi City.

Since there were six thousand of them, Wildman City’s dozens of transport ships had to shuttle back and forth twice, with the final few ships bringing down two hundred Demon Beasts.

Seeing this, Long Aotian’s expression changed.

”Yang Leader, what do these Demon Beasts mean?”

”These two hundred Demon Beasts will be stationed in the forests near White Elephant City and Snow Leopard City to monitor large-scale troop movements day and night. If there’s any activity, these Demon Beasts will immediately inform us,

Compared to having warriors sneak into nearby forests, these Demon Beasts offer greater safety. Even if one were to stand at White Elephant City’s gate, it wouldn’t cause much alarm.”

Upon hearing this, Long Aotian was impressed.

These Demon Beasts were commanded by Ah Bao. Yang Xiao also equipped two hundred people to form an intelligence team with them, having Demon Beasts infiltrate the frontlines to scout, relay information to Wildman agents kilometers away, who would then report to Yang Xiao.

Through this setup, Yang Xiao effectively controlled all battlefield information.

”Ah Bao, take people and ships to deploy these Demon Beasts to locations fifty kilometers from White Elephant City and Snow Leopard City, release them into the forests, and establish the full information chain.”

”Yes.”

Ah Bao promptly left with people and Demon Beasts.

”Yang Leader, what shall we do next?”

Long Aotian asked.

Unknowingly, Long Aotian had begun relying on Yang Xiao for overall military command.

”Speed is of the essence. Wildman King, Wind Eagle Elder, lead six thousand Wildman troops to quickly sweep mines in the Pegasus City area, Elder Qi lead six thousand guards to sweep mines within White Elephant City territory,

Jino will oversee Karachi City, while you and I head here.”

Yang Xiao opened the map, pointing to a forested area.

”This location is between Snow Leopard City and White Elephant City, and not too far from Karachi City and Pegasus City, making it convenient to coordinate all sides,

We’ll establish our joint command center here in the forest, taking five hundred guards with us by spaceship.”

Long Aotian was puzzled and said:

”Five hundred people? This close to White Elephant City, if the enemy discovers us, we’d be in trouble.”

”We have Demon Beasts collecting frontline information; should the enemy dispatch troops from the city, we’ll know in advance. What’s to worry over? Besides, don’t you have legs? Can’t you run?”

Long Aotian: ”...”
