Super Gene Hunting Ground

That night, Yang Xiao and the others spent the night in the Snow Lion Forest. The next day, Yang Xiao, along with the Wind Eagle Elder, Shan Kui, Ah Bao, and fifty Wildman guards, under the guidance of the Snow Lion King, took the spaceship to the distant Snow Mountain.

The Snow Mountain stretches over a thousand kilometers, separating this forest from the opposite side. Without the Snow Lion King leading the way, Yang Xiao and the others would never find the hidden valley.

The spaceship landed on a flat area halfway up the mountain, and everyone exited the spaceship.

The Snow Lion King led everyone forward for several hundred meters and stopped in front of a narrow mountain cave only three to four meters wide and five to six meters high.

”Yang Leader, this place is something we stumbled upon. It looks like a rock fissure from the outside, but once you enter and travel about two thousand meters, it becomes a long narrow valley.

This valley stretches more than twenty kilometers. The narrowest part is only one to two meters wide, while the widest places are dozens of meters. If you walk to the end, you can enter the Snow Domain Forest on the other side of the Snow Mountain.

The Snow Domain Forest on the other side is about forty to fifty kilometers wide. Once you exit the Snow Domain Forest, you can see Fire Wolf City.”

Yang Xiao glanced at the mountain entrance and asked:

”Snow Lion King, you’re familiar with this area. Have you walked through this passageway before?”

”Ah, this passage has been passed down by our snow lion ancestors. Legend has it that a snow lion once wandered out of boredom, stumbled upon this cave, and out of curiosity, ventured inside. To its surprise, it found it could pass through the entire Snow Mountain.

This secret passage has been transmitted ever since. We also traverse it two or three times a year to hunt monsters in the Snow Domain Forest on the opposite side.”

”Alright, then please lead the way, Snow Lion King. I’d like to inspect this passage first. How about that?”

”Alright!”

Yang Xiao instructed Ah Bao to stay at the cave entrance with ten Wildman guards while he, the Wind Eagle Elder, Shan Kui, and forty Wildman guards followed the Snow Lion King into the cave to explore further.

The first two thousand meters or so were traversed inside the cave. Exiting the cave, they saw a narrow gorge ahead, or more precisely, a mountain fissure. The Snow Mountain split into two halves here. Looking up from the bottom of the fissure, it resembled a long, narrow door slit.

This was at the mountain’s midway point, with a thick layer of snow accumulating inside the gorge, hardened over the years.

Occasionally, some monster footprints could be seen on the snow, suggesting that some small monsters might traverse the gorge regularly.

The group performed the Floating Flight Technique and flew forward quickly.

After several minutes, the gorge gradually widened, revealing a snowy forest in the distance.

”A bit further, and we’ll exit the Snow Mountain. Ahead lies the Snow Domain Forest,”

the Snow Lion King said.

To remain hidden, everyone landed in the forest after exiting the gorge and proceeded to move through the woods.

Walking for about forty to fifty kilometers, the white forest gradually transformed into a green forest, the snow disappeared, and the temperature became much warmer.

Finally, when they reached a hillside, the view suddenly opened into a vast basin below, revealing a city covered by a Defense Light Screen in the distance.

”That’s Fire Wolf City!”

The Snow Lion King pointed to the distant city and said.

Apart from the distant city, Yang Xiao could also see several mining sites nearby, with miners dimly visible.

”Snow Lion King, do you know much about Fire Wolf City?”

”I don’t. We occasionally move around in the Snow Domain Forest but don’t dare venture too far. Snow lions have ventured beyond the Snow Domain Forest before, near their mining sites, only to be killed by them.”

”Do you think they know about this secret passage?”

”I doubt it. We’ve never seen anyone from Fire Wolf City emerge from the cave. We patrol with snow lions daily.”

”Alright, I’d like to stay here for a few days to map out the surroundings of Fire Wolf City. Shan Kui and ten guards will accompany me, while the Wind Eagle Elder can take the others back with the Snow Lion King.”

The Wind Eagle Elder said:

”That won’t do. I must stay to ensure your safety. If something happens, how would I explain it to the Great Chief?”

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”I’ll stay hidden in the forest and won’t venture out recklessly. With Shan Kui and the others with me, nothing will happen. If too many stay behind, we might draw attention and get exposed.”

Under the insistence of the Wind Eagle Elder, Yang Xiao allowed Ah Bao to take dozens of guards back with the Snow Lion King, while the Wind Eagle Elder stayed with ten guards to protect Yang Xiao.

After the Snow Lion King and Shan Kui left, Yang Xiao spoke to the Wind Eagle Elder.

”Wind Eagle Elder, what do you think of this valley?”

The Wind Eagle Elder was momentarily perplexed, looking at Yang Xiao in confusion.

”Don’t you think this valley is too precarious? If someone were to block both exits, we might face total defeat.”

The Wind Eagle Elder’s heart skipped a beat as he asked:

”Yang Leader, are you suspicious of the Snow Lion King?”

”I’m not doubting the Lion King, but we must be prepared for everything,

just think, if we led the three thousand elite warriors of Wildman City on a long raid through this valley, and the Lion King arranged for the entrance to be sealed, wouldn’t that leave us stranded with no return?”

If at this moment, the people from Fire Wolf City bring their army to block the valley exit and surround us, wouldn’t it mean the total annihilation of our forces?

It’s wise to be cautious, after all, I and the Snow Lion King are not very familiar with each other; we can’t fully trust it just because it promised to help us on the surface.

If we really take action, you must vigilantly monitor the Snow Lion King throughout the process to ensure it doesn’t pull any tricks.”

”Alright, understood!”

In the following days, Yang Xiao and Wind Eagle Elder wandered around the forests surrounding Fire Wolf City, mapped out the surrounding terrain, and then returned to the Snow Lion Forest.

Yang Xiao piloted the spaceship out of the forest and returned to Wildman City to begin researching how to deploy troops against Fire Wolf City.

”Yang Xiao, do you insist on attacking Fire Wolf City?”

asked the Wildman King.

Yang Xiao nodded and said:

”According to the latest message from Jino City Lord, in Witch Star, the Snow Leopard Empire and Youming Empire might join forces against the Great Dragon Empire, our Purple Origin Star is quite likely to become their second battleground,

The Eldest Prince of the Daluo Empire will soon come to Purple Origin Star to take control of everything here,

If the Three Kingdoms go to war then, we will inevitably be drawn into it,

I looked at Fire Wolf City; its terrain is extremely perilous. If we block that valley passage, we can directly cut off this side, leaving us an escape route,

Moreover, capturing Fire Wolf City and fighting our way out, we can unite the wild tribes of the three Primitive Forests nearby, forming a powerful combat team,

By then, we will have two strongholds in Wildman City and Fire Wolf City, with a total population exceeding fifty thousand, greatly enhancing our combat power and overall survival ability,

By then, regardless of which empire, they will have to show some respect to us; wild ones will no longer be just prey for manipulation.”

”Alright, since you have such determination, I will fully support you, go ahead and do it.”

The Wildman King took the lead in showing support, and the others nodded in agreement.

Yang Xiao then said:

”Purple Origin Star is about to face a storm, and now it’s the calm before the storm. Ultimately, future competition is about talent; whoever has more people and higher combat power will defeat the other and achieve victory.

Wildman City is large, with plenty of room for expansion. We now possess ample resources allowing us to recruit wild ones from afar to join our ranks,

For instance, we can send people to persuade and attract the tribes from Ah Chuan’s place we visited last time to join our Wildman City.”

The Wildman King nodded,

”Hmm, Yang Xiao is right, alright, the old man will personally go out once, see if he can persuade Ah Chuan to bring his tribe to join Wildman City,

By the way, Shan Feng, Tai Qi, Wind Eagle, you all know several tribe leaders, take advantage of this time to go out more, see if you can persuade some tribes to join Wildman City.”

”Great Chief, that’s no problem; given the current conditions of Wildman City, many people from small tribes will probably be very willing to come.”

Wind Eagle said.

”Alright then, tomorrow, everyone will have a spaceship assigned, and you leaders will personally go to recruit people; the more, the better.”

Yang Xiao suddenly realized how he hadn’t thought of a plan to recruit wild ones sooner.

In the next half month, Yang Xiao focused on cultivating the Heavenly Silkworm Technique, refining Blessing Pills, and contemplating how to attack Fire Wolf City.

The Wildman King, Wind Eagle, Shan Feng, and Tai Qi took the spaceship to travel and persuade other wild tribes, attracting them to join Wildman City. Within half a month, at least four to five thousand people joined Wildman City.

Yang Xiao then opened several dozen mines at the foot of the mountain, allowing some of the wild ones to excavate.

The new arrivals found work mining and earned Crystal Coins, naturally accepting the lifestyle of Wildman Valley.

...

Xingyun Piaoxue flew urgently to Wildman City and found Yang Xiao.

”Brother Yang, this isn’t good; in Witch Star, the Youming Empire officially announced it has joined the Snow Leopard Empire side, allying to fight the Great Dragon Empire. The battle has officially started; the advantage the Great Dragon Empire recently gained was quickly overturned by their alliance army.”

”Did the Eldest Prince return to Witch Star?”

”Not yet, I hear orders were given to urgently recall the Eldest Prince, Second Prince, and Fourth Prince back to Witch Star, after all they originally took with them a batch of elite warriors from Witch Star, and can contribute to the effort.”

Yang Xiao pondered, given the spaceship’s thousandfold light speed flight, it took more than a month to travel from Earth to Purple Origin Star, if Eldest Prince and the others were now to set off, it would likely take three to four days to return to Witch Star.

For Wildman City, this was a hiatus; it might also be the last opportunity for Yang Xiao to capture Fire Wolf City and build a formidable army before the Eldest Prince arrives, to ensure survival amidst the chaos.

”Brother Yang, my brother-in-law invites you for a visit to Karachi City to discuss urgent matters,”

Yang Xiao smiled wryly:

”Jino City Lord is now in danger, Pegasus City and Karachi City are now both at risk; the Youming Empire and Snow Leopard Empire people, along with remnants of the previously defeated Pegasus Empire, will certainly join forces to attack him, alas, such a headache!”
