Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Dong! Dong!

A tremendous force of Yuan Power surged between heaven and earth as colossal drums rose above the mountain peaks. With each heavy strike, the thunderous drumming resonated deeply, making everyone’s heart pound uncontrollably.

Amidst the powerful drumming that filled the skies, the gazes of all the superpowers naturally turned towards the thirteen massive white jade platforms on the central peak.

Standing proudly on these thirteen platforms were thirteen majestic figures. Brilliant dark-golden lights surged around them, and an imposing Yuan Power pressure flooded the world.

These were genuine Samsara Stage experts.

Watching this spectacular sight, many top-tier beast factions in attendance sighed deeply, their eyes filled with envy.

It was widely known across the Demon Region and even the entire Tianxuan Continent that the true measure of a supreme faction’s strength was simply based on how many Samsara Stage experts it possessed.

Ordinarily, a faction with just a single Samsara Stage expert barely qualified as a superpower. For instance, among the eight super sects of the Eastern Xuan Region, aside from the Yuan Gate and Dao Sect, most sects had only one Samsara expert at their helm.

Only those supreme powers with multiple Samsara Stage experts could truly be counted as exceptional, much like Yuan Gate, which dominated Eastern Xuan Region precisely because its three great chiefs had all reached the Samsara Stage.

Yet today, before everyone’s eyes, the Seven Malefic Black Golden Crow Clan openly revealed thirteen Samsara experts at once—not to mention the Grand Elder, Wu Qian, who had already touched the threshold of the Reincarnation Stage.

Ancient beast clans such as this always concealed some unfathomable cards up their sleeves.

This was what people called the foundation of true power.

Especially since, during ancient times, the Seven Malefic Black Golden Crow Clan had held the status of an Overlord-level clan in the Demon Region.

Facing the profound strength displayed by this ancient clan, even Lin Langtian’s eyes turned serious. The Eight Great Royal Clans truly deserved their prestigious reputation.

”It seems if our Heavenly Mansion aims for longevity, nurturing Samsara Stage experts must be our top priority,” Lin Langtian reflected inwardly. Though the current Heavenly Mansion was technically considered a superpower, it primarily depended on just a few individuals. It lacked a genuine foundation. Compared to these ancient Royal Clans, the Heavenly Mansion was merely a firefly beneath the vast moonlight.

Only by steadily cultivating more Samsara Stage experts could the Heavenly Mansion become a genuine superpower on the Tianxuan Continent.

Lin Langtian gradually withdrew his thoughts, calmly observing the thirteen powerful figures. He subtly noticed that these thirteen jade platforms were distinctly divided into four groups.

”This must be the Lin Branch, Fire Branch, Wind Branch, and the other sub-branches,” Lin Langtian murmured softly. His gaze first rested on the Lin Branch, where the aura was strongest, the vast black-golden light nearly covering half the sky.

Five white jade platforms belonging to the Lin Branch were arranged in tiers, clearly structured from high to low.

At the very top platform stood a black-robed man, his hands clasped behind him. This man’s face appeared deeply profound, eyes sharp as an eagle, his ambitions laid bare. A faint dark-golden glow shimmered on his surface.

Compared to other elders, the glow around him seemed faintest, but those present, being seasoned experts themselves, understood clearly—such a restrained Yuan Power indicated he was nearing the peak of the Samsara Stage, ready to touch the threshold of the Reincarnation Stage.

This black-robed man had already reached the late Samsara Stage, steadily approaching the Reincarnation boundary.

Lin Langtian’s eyes narrowed slightly, sensing a dangerous aura emanating from this man.

”He is Wu Xiu, the Lin Branch Chief and Wu Sen’s elder brother,” Xiao Ling softly informed Lin Langtian from his side. ”Currently, he’s one of two people in our entire clan most likely to reach the Reincarnation Stage. If he succeeds, the clan leader position will undoubtedly belong to him.”

”Lin Branch Chief, Wu Xiu…” Lin Langtian’s eyes flickered briefly, acknowledging Xiao Ling’s explanation before continuing his observation downward. Among the Lin Branch elders, he spotted Wu Sen clearly present.

Evidently, the Lin Branch had truly deployed all their strongest experts to maintain their current seats.

Lin Langtian then shifted his gaze toward the Fire Branch platforms. Though numbering fewer by one compared to the Lin Branch, the four Fire Branch experts radiated similarly terrifying power, engulfing the heavens.

On the Fire Branch’s highest jade platform stood a red-robed middle-aged man whose crimson eyes and peculiar fiery patterns on his face gave off scorching heat. His very presence seemed capable of melting the surrounding Yuan Power itself.

”This is the Fire Branch Chief, Wu Yan, whose strength matches Wu Xiu,” Xiao Ling explained again quietly.

Lin Langtian nodded slightly. Clearly, Wu Yan was the second figure considered capable of touching the threshold of Reincarnation. Both Wu Xiu and Wu Yan possessed immense charisma, making it clear why the Lin and Fire branches had flourished under their leadership.

Finally, Lin Langtian’s gaze fell upon the Wind Branch’s area, immediately noticing their obvious disadvantage. Only two figures stood there—Chief Wu Xuan, whom Lin Langtian recognized, and an elderly man with graying hair.

The elder emitted powerful Yuan Power fluctuations, clearly a Samsara Stage expert, but age had left its mark. He appeared frail, his vitality waning, half a step already in the grave.

”This elder is Wu Pan, our Wind Branch’s oldest senior. It’s said he’s on par with the Grand Elder in seniority and has weathered countless storms,” Xiao Ling said respectfully.

Lin Langtian sighed softly, ”He truly is a respected senior, but his declining vitality is obvious. Unless he breaks into the Reincarnation Stage, his days are numbered.”

Xiao Ling smiled bitterly, ”Breaking into the Reincarnation Stage isn’t so easy. Ever since our clan fell from the Overlord status, no one has succeeded. Even our Grand Elder hesitates due to the immense risk involved.”

Lin Langtian silently agreed, recalling that elsewhere, perhaps Qing Tan’s master, Palace Master Bo Xuan of the Palace of Darkness, had likely failed his attempt at reaching Reincarnation already.

Pushing these thoughts aside, Lin Langtian’s gaze finally rested on the last area—occupied by the other sub-branches of the clan. Due to clan rules, two seats on the Elder Council were always reserved for sub-branches to maintain internal cohesion.

Having fully assessed the layout, Lin Langtian concluded the Wind Branch was clearly in grave danger.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

The drumming accelerated fiercely.

”Begin,” Grand Elder Wu Qian announced solemnly from the peak.

Swish!

As soon as the elder’s voice fell, two figures streaked across the sky simultaneously, landing decisively on the Wind Branch’s jade platforms.

A sturdy, robust middle-aged man with a fierce aura stood facing Elder Wu Pan, arms folded arrogantly. ”Wu Yan of the Fire Branch respectfully seeks guidance from Elder Wu Pan,” he sneered mockingly.

The muscular Wu Yan brimmed with vitality, vastly superior in strength compared to the elderly Wu Pan, making his victory seem inevitable.

Witnessing this, Wu Pan’s expression darkened considerably, worsened by the sight unfolding at Wu Xuan’s platform.

”Wu Sen of the Lin Branch humbly seeks guidance from Chief Wu Xuan,” Wu Sen declared coldly, drawing countless gazes.

Wu Xuan’s face became even gloomier. Clearly, the Lin and Fire branches had deliberately coordinated this joint attack on the Wind Branch.

”Damn it!” Xiao Ling cursed angrily. These two branches had continuously oppressed the Wind Branch and now even shamelessly joined forces publicly.

Lin Langtian’s eyes narrowed, quickly assessing the situation. Elder Wu Pan was clearly disadvantaged against Wu Yan’s immense vitality. At best, Wu Xuan might achieve a draw against Wu Sen, ending the Wind Branch’s matches with one draw and one defeat, effectively sealing their fate.

”Truly ruthless methods,” Lin Langtian remarked coldly. Clearly, the Lin and Fire branches aimed to completely eliminate the Wind Branch from the clan’s core hierarchy, ensuring they would never rise again.

However, Lin Langtian resolved himself inwardly. Since he was present today, he wouldn’t allow their schemes to succeed easily.

On surrounding peaks, clan members observed closely. Lin and Fire Branch members were visibly pleased, anticipating their rival’s downfall.

Conversely, Wind Branch members looked pale and somber, recognizing their dire predicament.

The Grand Elder Wu Qian watched silently from atop the main peak, brows furrowed. He understood the political maneuvering but couldn’t intervene as the branches hadn’t technically violated any rules. Perhaps this was a just punishment for the Wind Branch’s past transgressions against the clan…

Leaders of other beast clans whispered privately, lamenting the decline of the once-glorious Wind Branch.

Boom!

Amidst these murmurs, explosive Yuan Power erupted like volcanoes on the two jade platforms, signaling the immediate start of the brutal combat.

All four figures simultaneously transformed into immense Black Golden Crows, their monstrous auras shaking the heavens, instantly igniting fierce battles.
