Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Inside the Flame Alliance’s meeting hall, Lin Langtian was taken aback upon learning that the Flame Alliance had been at war with the Magma Rock Dynasty for the past two weeks. He immediately summoned Mo Ling, along with Mo Tie and his two trusted allies, to convene a high-level strategy meeting.

Soon, all six members arrived, and seeing Lin Langtian in person, they visibly relaxed, as though they had found their guiding light. For the Flame Alliance, Lin Langtian was not only the founder but also its core. His influence and strength provided an anchor that gave everyone a sense of security.

In his absence, the constant pressure from the Magma Rock Dynasty, one of the dominant forces of the Northwestern Region, had left a dark cloud of anxiety over the Alliance members. But with Lin Langtian’s return, that shadow lifted, replaced by a bright sense of hope.

With a brief nod, Lin Langtian motioned for everyone to sit down and explained briefly that Mo Ying, standing at his side, was a new recruit from another dynasty. He then turned to the question weighing on his mind.

”So, what is our current situation?”

At this, Mo Tie and his comrades first cast curious glances at Mo Ying, noting his stoic, unreadable demeanor and the potent aura within him. Mo Ling then stepped forward.

”Not to worry, Senior Brother. Despite the Magma Rock Dynasty’s attacks, the Flame Alliance has held its own and hasn’t suffered any major losses.”

”Oh?” Lin Langtian was surprised. Given his absence and Lin Dong’s departure, he had expected the Alliance would be struggling.

Mo Tie, noticing Lin Langtian’s surprise, laughed. ”Without you, Senior Brother, we couldn’t have withstood them alone. But since our success in Thunder Rock Valley, the Flame Alliance’s reputation has surged, and many powerful warriors from other dynasties have joined us. Mo Ling organized their integration, and we’ve expanded significantly.”

Lin Langtian nodded and smiled at Mo Ling. ”Impressive work; a true testament to royal training.”

Modestly, Mo Ling replied, ”Compared to you, Senior Brother, I’ve only added the finishing touches.”

Mo Ling’s respect for Lin Langtian had only grown since witnessing his victory over Shi Xuan, a powerful warrior comparable to Mo Jingtian himself. For Mo Ling, seeing such a formidable figure defeated by Lin Langtian cemented his deep respect and loyalty.

”Tell me, then, who exactly joined us?”

Seeing his question, Mo Ling nodded and began, ”Over the past month, we’ve gained around 150 new members from 12 minor dynasties and five intermediate dynasties, nearly doubling our numbers. And among them, there are two dynasties we know well: the Dayuan Dynasty and the Lingyun Dynasty.”

”The Dayuan and Lingyun Dynasties?” Lin Langtian was genuinely surprised. ”So Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan have also joined the Flame Alliance?”

Both dynasties possessed elite fighters on the verge of breaking into the Nirvana stage. That these two leaders—Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan—chose to join was an unexpected but welcome development.

Mo Ling continued, ”After the Magma Rock Dynasty arrived, they began to suppress and absorb the older Yang City powers. Some fled, some joined them, and others found a haven with us. With the Magma Rock Dynasty’s indirect help, we managed to integrate many warriors into the Alliance.”

He added, ”Both Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan reached Nirvana after the battle in Thunder Rock Valley, but they still could not withstand the Magma Rock Dynasty. They saw their best chance for strength in joining us. Between their entry into the Alliance and the Dynasty’s caution of you, Senior Brother, we’ve been able to claim a stronghold in Yang City.”

Lin Langtian nodded in understanding. It seemed that the Magma Rock Dynasty’s disruptive presence had actually boosted the Flame Alliance’s numbers and morale. Before, he and Lin Dong had carried much of the burden alone, with limited support. But with their new allies, the Flame Alliance could now face the Magma Rock Dynasty’s forces without fear.

As the conversation continued, two figures entered the hall: a refined man in white and a sturdy youth. These two were Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan, and having heard of Lin Langtian’s return, they had come to formally pay their respects to their new leader.

”Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan greet Senior Brother!” they said with deference.

Barely a month prior, they had fought alongside Lin Langtian in Thunder Rock Valley, but his commanding victory over Shi Xuan had cemented his position as their superior. Given the brutal atmosphere of the Ancient Battlefield, they had gladly chosen to align with the Flame Alliance rather than the oppressive Magma Rock Dynasty.

Lin Langtian welcomed them with a smile. ”Now that you’ve joined us, you’re part of the family—there’s no need for formalities.” He gestured for them to sit, genuinely pleased with their arrival.

As they took their seats, Ling Zhi and Liu Yuan were relieved to find Lin Langtian approachable. They could still recall the awe they felt as he dominated Shi Xuan in the grand hall at Thunder Rock Valley; even as Nirvana-level warriors, they held him in deep respect.

In the midst of their introductions, a sudden, jarring voice resounded from above the Flame Alliance’s estate.

”Listen up, Flame Alliance! I, Shi Kun, am giving you three days to get out of Yang City—or else!”
