Chapter 1289: Chapter 435: New Witchcraft from the Federation (Part 2)

Rein straightened up slightly and said.

”You’re too kind! Lord Rein, I won’t disturb you any longer. You’ve just returned from the Dragon Knight retest, so please rest well.” Hamadi, upon seeing Rein accept this condition, was as excited as Rein was about gaining a new witchcraft.

At the same time, he nodded slightly at the end, indicating the efficient intelligence network established by the Federation within the Empire.

”Thank you, I’ll escort Lord Hamadi.” Naturally, Rein had to show courtesy to Hamadi, who had come to deliver new witchcraft.

...

After Hamadi left, Rein couldn’t wait to open the sheepskin scroll once more and ponder over the Third Level Metal Series attack witchcraft ’Sawtooth Ring’.

Although he currently only had 3 Skill Points, this did not prevent him from learning and mastering ’Sawtooth Ring’ first.

Half an hour later, Rein seemed to comprehend something, and the system prompt followed:

[You have studied Sawtooth Ring, related insights have improved!]

[You have comprehended a new skill—Sawtooth Ring]

[Your skill Sawtooth Ring has been enhanced, Experience +3]

...

Rein quickly found a brand new large icon on the Dragon Vein Wizard (Legendary) profession panel.

The icon’s image was a circular metal wire, but upon closer inspection, one could see that this metal wire was quite special, being covered with dense sawteeth.

Additionally, a line of small text beneath the icon displayed the content as follows:

Sawtooth Ring lv1 (1/100)

Sawtooth Ring lv1 Effect: Consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to induce surrounding Metal Series energy particles to strengthen the sawtooth wire and rapidly form a high-speed rotating ring to attack the enemy. Required casting materials: Any metal sawtooth wire.

(Note: The power of Sawtooth Ring is proportional to the quality of the sawtooth wire.)

(Note: Casting time is 3 seconds.)

After attempting to cast it a few times, Rein discovered that, like the previous Third Level Metal Series witchcraft ’Thorny Iron Ball’, the proficiency level of ’Sawtooth Ring’ was several times more difficult to improve than Second Level Witchcraft and increased rather slowly.

If he did not use Skill Points to enhance it, even with his talents, it would probably take years or even longer to reach the proficiency required for releasing a Witchcraft Killing Move.

So, this brought him back to the issue he had been contemplating earlier—the choice of a new profession.

Only by choosing the right new profession could he quickly acquire a large number of Skill Points, so as to quickly form the Third Level Metal Series witchcraft ’Sawtooth Ring’ into combat power.

Thinking of this, Rein sat back in his chair and began to think seriously.

In fact, Rein already had a preliminary plan for the new profession: Skin Tanning.

This profession is very similar to tailoring, with a relatively broad career advancement system.

Although the core skills of the relevant profession would most likely, like tailoring, not be very powerful, this point was not important to the current Rein.

Currently, he had enough and strong core skills, such as ’Dragon Soul Strike’, ’Weakness Control’, etc., the only thing lacking was Skill Points.

Thinking it over, Rein decided that early tomorrow morning, he would have someone find a skilled Skin Tanning or, preferably, a Skinning Master to learn skin tanning techniques.

...

The starlight illuminated the night sky, and in this season, a rare mist rose over the sky of the Imperial City Tamriel, turning the originally brilliant starry sky gradually hazy.

And with the conclusion of this Dragon Knight retest, the security level of the Star Mage’s Platform also began to decrease, and important intelligence began to be transmitted from here to various parts of the Empire.

Inside the study room of the main building of the Second Prince Mansion.

Buchanan was respectfully reporting to the Second Prince Everton behind the desk.

”You just said that as soon as Quinna appeared, she was detected and immediately subdued by Rein?” The Second Prince Everton had anticipated Rein’s refusal long ago, so he had arranged for contingencies early on—Quinna, who possessed the Shadow Dragon Bloodline.

But upon hearing Buchanan’s description of the situation, he couldn’t help feeling a bit puzzled and sensing something was amiss.

Because he was quite familiar with Quinna, who possessed the rare Shadow Dragon Bloodline.

Not to mention her talent ability to attack from the shadows, even without using her talent ability, Quinna’s combat strength had reached the Legendary Peak level. She was not sent to the Secret Realm this time because she had other tasks.

Logically, it should not have been so easy for her to be subdued by Rein.

Unless... Rein’s strength far exceeded previous estimates.

”Yes, Your Highness. In just three seconds, no, in just two seconds, Quinna was pinned to the ground. Although still alive, she had completely lost the ability to resist.”

”I see.” The Second Prince nodded and said.

”Your Highness, what should we do now? Quinna is currently imprisoned at the Sword Bearer Headquarters, and rescuing her is quite difficult.” Buchanan wiped the sweat from his forehead and said.

It wasn’t that his ability to handle affairs was lacking, but due to the recent internal purge of the Sword Bearer, there was practically no one available within the Sword Bearer Headquarters.

The few dark operatives available either did not have high enough ranks or were not strong enough, and this time they were all unusable.

”I’ll contact someone later to handle this matter.” The Second Prince waved his hand and said.

At this moment, an Attendant hurriedly came to report from outside the door, saying: ”Your Highness, Lord Buchanan, urgent intelligence.”

Hmm?

Buchanan immediately took it, waved his hand to dismiss the Attendant.

He respectfully handed the envelope to the Second Prince Everton.
