Chapter 1274: Chapter 430: Bait (Part 2)

There was a few seconds of silence from the other side of the communicator, as if in thought, and soon Marshal Alfred’s deep voice sounded again: ”Lord Rein, have you made up your mind?”

”I’ve thought it over.”

”Good!” said Marshal Alfred.

...

Reducing the Closer’s power is a must; otherwise, even if the Void Dragon has the courage, it won’t be able to enter the Secret Realm to plunder.

Rein naturally anticipated their arrival eagerly!

Although Baldwin and the others present didn’t understand the purpose of Rein’s actions, having just experienced the battle, they naturally wouldn’t question Rein.

”Lord Rein, should we next clear out the juvenile Giant Dragons that have been corrupted in the Secret Realm, or should we first find those cultists?” Baldwin inquired at this time.

Actually, both tasks serve the same purpose.

The juvenile Giant Dragons infected by Void Beasts are violent by nature, killing their own kind within the Secret Realm.

Meanwhile, the Legendary cultists have come to the Secret Realm to also kill healthy juvenile Giant Dragons, weakening the Dragan Empire’s foundations.

But Rein was well aware that in terms of strength, the former was not strong; instead, the latter, with some cultist strongmen being quite troublesome, like Baldwin, who was injured by a Legendary cultist.

”By the way, Areda, do you know which people from other sects have come this time?”

”Not really sure.” Areda shook his head, saying.

”This time entering the Secret Realm, we were only told the mission was to kill juvenile Giant Dragons and Empire personnel. Also, they informed us of the activity area, which is in the central part of the Secret Realm, while other places are covered by other sects.”

”Is it the Flame Mountain and this forest?”

”Yes.” Areda nodded.

Rein nodded in agreement.

This is indeed a bit troublesome.

If the cult were mobilizing in large numbers, it would actually be easier to track.

But the problem now is that each cult sends very few people, and they are individually strong, and moreover, they operate alone, making them harder to trace.

Especially if they deliberately conceal their whereabouts, it would be nearly impossible to find them in this Secret Realm, equivalent to the size of a County Town.

”Perhaps, we can change our mindset. Since their mission is to kill juvenile Giant Dragons, it’s apparent they would head towards areas where Dragons are more concentrated.”

”Exactly.”

”Lord Baldwin, please contact the command center and confirm the areas in the Secret Realm where Dragons are relatively concentrated.”

”Alright, I’ll contact them right away.” Baldwin smiled and nodded, having understood Rein’s intent.

After a short while, Baldwin put down the communicator, saying:

”Lord Rein, it’s confirmed, there are several areas where juvenile Giant Dragons are more concentrated: the Whispering Pond in the southwest of the Secret Realm, the Flame Mountain and Evergreen Forest in the central area, the Black Water Swamp in the northeast, and the surrounding ringed mountain cliffs.”

”The command center supports your initiative wholeheartedly and hopes this operation will be under your charge.”

”Additionally, there are currently four operational personnel with combat capabilities confirmed, and if they combine forces, they should be able to handle one of the areas.”

”Oh? That’s good news. I understand.” Rein showed a thoughtful expression.

”Lord Rein, how about leaving the Whispering Pond to me? I came from there earlier.” Lambert thought for a moment and spoke first.

He also had a task related to the Blue Dragon progeny he wanted to continue, and it coincidentally aligned with the task of eliminating the Legendary cultists, hitting two birds with one stone.

”Sure, then I’ll trouble you, Lord Lambert.” Rein smiled slightly, saying.

”Lord Rein, how about I go to the farthest ringed mountain cliffs?” Baldwin thought for a moment and suggested.

”Alone? But your injuries haven’t healed, it’s not appropriate.” Rein glanced at Baldwin, shook his head, and said.

”How about letting the Areda sisters accompany you?”

”No! No! That’s not appropriate.” Baldwin glanced at the beautiful Areda sisters, inexplicably blushing and shaking his head repeatedly, saying.

”Lord Rein, wouldn’t that leave you alone? How about having Ailida accompany you and me going with Lord Baldwin to the ringed mountain cliffs?” Areda couldn’t help but look at Rein and said.

”No need, the two of you splitting up would significantly reduce your strength. Together, I believe even if you encounter another Legendary cultist, it won’t be too much of a problem. Plus, with Lord Baldwin, it’s practically a guaranteed success.” Rein waved his hand, saying.

After losing the Devouring Snake’s might, the Areda sisters are now at the Late Stage Legendary level.

However, their coordination is superb, and their talent abilities are outstanding; fighting together, they still possess strength comparable to the Legendary Peak.

”Lord Rein...”

Baldwin wanted to say something more, but Rein interrupted him.

”Lord Baldwin, didn’t the command center just tell you that I’m in charge of this operation? So that’s the decision.” Rein said.

”Alright, Lord Rein, be careful out there alone.” Baldwin looked at Rein and said.

”Thank you. By the way, Lord Baldwin, inform the command center to direct the remaining personnel to the Black Water Swamp. I’ll handle the Flame Mountain and Evergreen Forest areas.”

”Understood, Lord Rein.”

If he guessed correctly, the Flame Mountain and nearby Evergreen Forest should be the responsibility of the Secret Snake Sect and the Grafting Cult.

Previously, ’Multi-Armed’ Pearce was killed by him, and the Areda sisters from the Secret Snake Sect have also defected to him, meaning there shouldn’t be any more cultists here.

Even if there are, they should be the Grafting Cult members other than Pearce.
