The Unveiling of Secret Queen

The man standing in front of him, who was more than ten years younger, just over fifty, furrowed his brow and looked down in contemplation for a long time.

If someone from the institute were here, they would surely recognize him—none other than Orson Saban, the elusive head of the 8-level laboratory!

”You don’t remember?” Nicholas Fuller opened the computer on the desk, just about to look it up himself.

Orson, standing there, finally remembered, clutching the materials he just found, expressionless, he uttered a name: ”Nathalie Quinlan.”

”Harvey Cadorette mentioned to me that the rookie’s name is Nathalie Quinlan.”

Harvey Cadorette is also part of the 8-level laboratory, one of his students.

Previously, Zevaney Kingsley had invited Harvey to dine at the Ocean Pavilion, but that day they didn’t end up eating as the Manager of the Ocean Pavilion drove them away.

Harvey directly returned to the institute and didn’t go to a second place to continue the meal.

Orson had only heard his lab’s students mention it once, but his memory was always good, a person who never forgets.

Therefore, even if he had only heard it once, he remembered after thinking for a bit.

Nicholas paused his hand on the mouse, a look of surprise on his face as he gazed at him: ”You said the rookie’s name is Nathalie Quinlan?”

Orson nodded: ”Yes. She’s not from Inderia, seems to be from Zenla, lived in Zenla all along, never been to Inderia. She appears to have some talent with gunpowder, as to how talented, I haven’t interacted with her, still unclear.”

Nicholas had recovered from the initial shock, his dark face still faintly showing traces of lingering surprise.

But he gradually calmed down, and, not knowing what he thought of, suddenly smiled, leaning back against the chair, raising his head to say to Orson: ”... the institute is going to be lively in the future!”

”?” Orson looked at him puzzled.

Nicholas didn’t further explain the meaning behind his words, seemingly just mindlessly speaking.

He had already changed the topic, chatting with Orson about the recent incident where the ’supplier’ of Rare Earth materials to The First Research Institute suddenly disrupted the supply chain: ”Contact that person, I want to meet him personally.”

Both Nicholas and Orson.

They were people who rarely showed themselves.

But this time, the other party’s sudden disruption of the laboratory’s material supply chain left The First Research Institute caught off guard, suffering huge losses.

As the head of the institute, he naturally had to come forward to talk with the other party.

Not to mention, they at least needed to understand why the other party abruptly cut off the supply chain.

Nicholas was someone who did things practically, not liking the formalities; his wise eyes looked towards Orson again, instructing him: ”Also, contact Mr. Yancey from the Yancey Family in Beijing, speak to them about the Rare Earth transactions.”

The Yancey Family in Beijing also has some Rare Earth resources.

However, the Yancey Family’s resources aren’t as abundant as the mysterious person’s they’ve always cooperated with, nor as comprehensive in variety.

But given the current predicament faced by The First Research Institute, they couldn’t afford to be choosy, so Nicholas could only prepare both strategies.

Orson nodded, saying little, directly turned, took his belongings, and went out to handle it.

Nicholas waited until he closed the door, then logged into his computer account credentials, entered a chat application.
