The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Amadeus Yancey just smiled. He himself was strikingly handsome, with a presence like the bright moon in the sky, possessing a distinguished and pure nobility.

This smile made it even harder to look away.

He slightly lowered his head, his thin lips curving up, pretending as if he hadn’t understood, and said in a low voice, ”How did I call you?”

Nathalie Quinlan was teased into restlessness, letting go of her hand, raising her head, her expression blank as she looked at him.

Amadeus Yancey looked at her with increasing focus and laughed, ”Nathalie the Goddess?”

Nathalie Quinlan pressed her lips together, her gaze irritated, her knuckles slightly curling, tapping without speaking.

Amadeus Yancey lowered his head and gave her forehead a light touch like a dragonfly skimming the water, raised his eyebrows, in a good mood, and said with a smile, ”I was just saying it casually. If you don’t like it, I won’t say it anymore.”

Nathalie Quinlan felt increasingly at a loss by his actions. She never knew how to respond enthusiastically in situations like this, mainly because no one had taught her how to respond to someone.

”...It’s not that I don’t like it.”

”...” Amadeus Yancey looked at her with a smile again.

Nathalie Quinlan involuntarily turned her head, feeling frustrated.

Luckily, Amadeus Yancey could never quite grasp a girl’s mood, and brought up the underground auction: ”This time the underground auction indeed will auction the Flesh Ganoderma, are you going?”

”What date?” Nathalie Quinlan was still thinking, lowering her eyes to ask him.

While the two were talking, Kenzie Nabours’ phone call came through.

Nathalie Quinlan picked it up.

Kenzie Nabours also mentioned the underground auction not long after, he wanted to buy the Flesh Ganoderma for Marcella Davidson and asked Nathalie Quinlan if she had time to go with him that day.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t answer him immediately but asked about Amadeus Yancey’s availability, confirmed he was also free, then took her phone to the floor-to-ceiling window to tell Kenzie Nabours and set a time.

Sadam Vinson couldn’t possibly stay at home alone, so he would also go by that time.

Three days later.

Inderia underground auction house.

Nathalie Quinlan came here for the first time, the auction house was located at the basement level one of the Intercontinental Hotel. Starting from the elevator going down, the auction house’s security was extremely tight, with armed patrol personnel visible everywhere and the verification methods very high-tech.

Unless you had an invitation letter, no one could intrude.

Nathalie Quinlan followed Kenzie Nabours and their group to the underground auction house ahead of time. The auction hadn’t started yet, and someone specifically led Kenzie Nabours into a small private box near the auction hall.

The small private box was fully equipped with a sofa and bar, with a grand setup.

Kenzie Nabours was clearly not here for the first time, easily walking towards the circular sofa and inviting Nathalie Quinlan and others along.

”The auction will start soon, Amadeus, Nathalie, come over and sit down, let’s sit and wait.”

Amadeus Yancey stepped over.

He was tall with long legs, and even his shadow cast on the ground showed long legs.

He wasn’t like Sadam Vinson, who occasionally looked around.

Amadeus Yancey kept his eyes straight ahead throughout, seemingly very familiar with the Inderia underground auction house, and walked over straight to sit down.

Kenzie Nabours had a very good impression of him, turned around to invite Nathalie Quinlan again: ”Nathalie, come over and have a seat and take a rest.”

”You guys sit, I won’t.” As Nathalie Quinlan spoke, she casually took out her phone, leaning against the bar playing with her phone, with an unrestrained and careless demeanor.

Sadam Vinson was a chatterbox; with him around, there was never a worry about an awkward atmosphere, as he alone could hold up the role of lively ambiance.

Since the auction hadn’t started yet, Kenzie Nabours talked with them about the rules of the underground auction house and the purpose of their visit today.
