The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1600: Chapter 1600: Nathalie: Too Many Fans, My Phone Lagged

”In a town under McKinney, Hillwood, not sure if you’ve heard of it.”

Hillwood.

What a coincidence?

Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t really planning on participating, but after Stephanie Tanzil mentioned the location, she thought about it for a moment and didn’t outright reject: ”Send me the shooting time and schedule later. I’ll check if I have time, and if I do, I’ll go.”

Stephanie Tanzil was naturally overjoyed and agreed repeatedly.

After Nathalie hung up the phone, she put down her phone, and fastened her seatbelt. Without him asking, she proactively said, ”Stephanie Tanzil called and wants me to join a variety show.”

Amadeus Yancey was quite surprised: ”Are you going?”

”Just one episode.” Nathalie’s brows were shrouded with annoyance, she furrowed her brows, didn’t answer immediately, reached up to adjust her duckbill cap, and spoke casually: ”Not necessarily.”

”She said that the variety show is about promoting traditional culture, and their first episode is recommending an ancient chime, which was just discovered in McKinney. Since I graduated from No. 1 Middle School in McKinney, she wants me to be a temporary guest. They’ll also invite some stars.”

Amadeus casually handed her water, his expression calm and collected, patiently unscrewing the cap for her: ”Isn’t the MV you shot broadcasting?”

”Which MV?” Nathalie took the cup from his hand, bit the straw to take a sip, frowned then relaxed, remembered something, and leaned on her hand, speaking lazily: ”Oh, that one.”

Amadeus couldn’t help but glance at her smooth lips as she lazily bit the straw, but he quickly restrained himself, averted his gaze, and rolled down the car window to let the fresh air in.

Once the car temperature cooled down from the previous heat, Amadeus slowly said: ”I remember that MV you shot is about to go online, should be within these few days.”

Nathalie had a good memory but wasn’t too mindful of trivial matters. When he mentioned it, she recalled immediately: ”Seems like it went online yesterday.”

She put the cup on the car, reached for her phone: ”I’ll check.”

When Nathalie got her phone, she first logged into Twitter. As soon as she did, her phone froze with all the messages mentioning her.

Overwhelmingly so.

Enough to crash her phone, there were at least tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of mentions.

Nathalie: ...

”Back home first? Or do you have somewhere else to go?” Amadeus started the car, his hand on the steering wheel, skillfully turning the car around.

As he turned his head to talk, he saw the girl sitting in the passenger seat, holding her phone, with furrowed brows, not moving for a while.

He lazily turned his head, the black shirt gave off a slight coolness: ”What’s up?”

Nathalie’s expression froze for a second, just a second really, then she blinked, casually turned her head, leaned her face on her hand: ”Ah, nothing.”

”Hmm?” Amadeus raised an eyebrow.

Nathalie was seriously annoyed: ”Too many fans, phone’s frozen.”

She was quite the show-off!

Amadeus remained silent for a few seconds, reached out to adjust her duckbill cap back, then leaned back, calmly: ”Fix it first. Let me know once it’s done.”

Nathalie’s phone was all modified, just the mention notifications on Twitter were too many, suddenly flooding in caused the freeze.

But it didn’t last long.

Nathalie operated her phone with one hand, and soon enough, it was back to normal.
