The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1562: Chapter 1562: Nathalie Quinlan Wants to Find a Device to Play the Black Box

”It’s useful.” The girl’s delicate features were striking, and she answered him succinctly.

”...” Sadam Vinson was rendered speechless by her two-word reply.

Of course, he knew it was useful!

What he was asking was how Nathalie Quinlan intended to use it.

But Sadam was perceptive enough to see that Nathalie didn’t want to elaborate, so he didn’t press further and racked his brains to think.

After a while, he finally remembered: ”Ah, I know who has it!”

Nathalie suddenly looked at him, ”Who?”

”Uncle Jeremiah.”

Sadam Vinson spoke quickly: ”Brian Bonette’s family owns an airline, and his uncle’s personal hobby is collecting things related to aviation. I heard Brian mention before that if it hadn’t been for certain events leading him by chance into the International Criminal Investigation Team, his uncle would likely be an outstanding pilot now.”

He was talking about Jeremiah Bonette.

Brian Bonette, who was dining with them, raised his eyebrows at the mention of his uncle, and also turned to the girl, speaking in a composed tone: ”Sadam’s right. Now that I think about it, my uncle has collected quite a few of these things. The item you’re looking for, my uncle might have it. Should I ask him for you?”

Nathalie adjusted her duckbill cap and thanked him with a relaxed expression: ”Mm, thanks.”

Brian smiled briefly, ”No problem.”

”You’ve helped him before; I’m sure he’d be happy to help you.” Without further ado, he put down his chopsticks, stood up, and said to the group, ”I’ll step outside to make a phone call.”

Amadeus Yancey watched him leave, his deep eyes focused, then turned to speak to the girl: ”Mr. Bonette might not have returned from Sablehaven yet. Do you want me to drive you there to find him?”

Nathalie was quite relaxed and gave him a glance, saying: ”It’s fine, I’m not in a hurry. If he hasn’t returned, I’ll just wait for him to come back anyway. That thing is in my possession, so whether a few days early or late doesn’t matter; I can wait.”

She had already waited a long time, so a day or two wouldn’t make much difference.

Moreover, she had matters related to the Quarles Family to handle, so she couldn’t leave Beijing for the time being.

”I just need to confirm that someone has this type of playback device. If it’s not available domestically, I can set up a bounty on the dark web sooner.”

She’s been looking for this item for several days, but since the aircraft model was obsolete and the device was for playing old cassette-type black boxes, a small aircraft accessory, it wasn’t easy to find.

Nathalie asked casually, thinking if all else failed, she’d come up with another plan.

If Jeremiah Bonette had it, that would be ideal!

...

Soon, Brian Bonette returned to the private room holding his phone.

With a relaxed expression, he addressed the girl: ”I called and asked. He has the equipment you mentioned, but it’s at his home. You’ll have to wait for his return to get it. He’ll be back next week.”

”OK.” Nathalie’s voice was husky and she agreed straightforwardly: ”When Mr. Bonette returns, please let me know.”

”I’ve spoken to him; he’ll call you when he gets to Beijing.”

Brian, still feeling uneasy, added: ”Just in case, I’ll send you a message when he returns.”

”Alright.” A trace of warmth flickered in Nathalie’s eyes.

She wasn’t particularly sentimental, so she didn’t say much more.

Brian wasn’t much of a talker either and, after a few brief words with Nathalie, he called the waiter to settle the bill.

Amadeus Yancey paid for their meal.

Once the bill was settled, everyone headed home.

Alfred Garland drove, and Nathalie and Amadeus left the dining area, heading back to the Rhine first.
