Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

482: Chapter 462 (Anti-theft chapter) (Main text will be updated in a few hours.)Dark clouds covered the evening sky like a curtain, as a pitter-patter of raindrops continuously tapped against the treetops, the ground, and the edges of umbrellas.

Lu Xu held a blue umbrella, his other hand carrying a bag of newly purchased daily necessities.

This was a sudden downpour. In an instant, the pedestrians around him seemed like ants on a hot pan, bowing their heads and scurrying about to find shelter from the rain.

Walking unhurriedly with his umbrella, Lu Xu looked like someone from another world amidst the crowd.

To Lu Xu, no sudden downpour during the rainy season could make him panic. Because of his cautious and stubborn personality, he would carry that umbrella every single day during the rainy season, even if the sky was perfectly clear when he left home.

Watching the panicked crowd around him, Lu Xu slightly raised an eyebrow. To him, his current composure was the reward for being prepared.

”Classmate!”

Lu Xu kept walking, minding his own business.

”Classmate!”

This time Lu Xu stopped, because someone poked his shoulder from behind.

Lu Xu turned around, and what met his eyes was a young girl half a head shorter than him. She was slightly bowing her head, her long black hair already soaked by the rain. As Lu Xu’s gaze shifted slightly downward, he saw that her wet white shirt not only clung to her body, tracing the girl’s curves, but also failed to hide the colors of the garments beneath. It was as if Lu Xu had seen something forbidden; he quickly looked up, his face flushing slightly.

”Is there something you need?” Lu Xu looked toward the dark sky in the distance.

”Classmate, are you heading back to the dormitory?” The girl looked up as if gathering her courage, her eyes staring straight at Lu Xu.

The girl’s eyes were watery and bright, with a few raindrops hanging from her eyelashes, adding a touch of misty charm.

”Yes.”

”Can you take me back with you?” The girl stood on her tiptoes, her clear eyes overflowing with a sense of pleading.

”Please, I came to the gate to pick up the Malatang our dorm ordered. Malatang... must be eaten while it’s hot to be good!”

Hearing such a peculiar reason, even Lu Xu’s lips couldn’t help but twitch slightly.

To him, this probably counted as a smile.

”Alright,” Lu Xu agreed involuntarily.

”That’s great, thank you!” The girl took the initiative to step under the umbrella. Her hand hesitated in the air for a moment before she gently tugged on Lu Xu’s sleeve.

Lu Xu glanced at the girl out of the corner of his eye. Her long, straight black hair, her small, delicate nose, and her tall figure as she walked gave off a very elegant vibe.

”Junior, what’s your name?”

”How do you know I’m a junior?”

”Because I saw you at the freshman orientation yesterday. You’re very tall and stand out quite a bit.” The girl smiled at Lu Xu.

”Oh, I’m Lu Xu,” Lu Xu replied. Recalling yesterday’s orientation, Lu Xu had only thought about standing in a corner to finish the boring process as quickly as possible; he hadn’t expected to be remembered by a senior.

”I’m Lin Muxia, a sophomore. You can call me Senior Lin,” Lin Muxia said with a smile, looking up at Lu Xu’s smooth profile.

”Mhm,” Lu Xu replied casually, yet he felt as if Lin Muxia’s voice had some kind of magic, making him want to hear more.

”Hey, why are you walking faster and faster?”

Lin Muxia took small, quick steps, watching as the sleeve she was holding was being pulled further and further away.

”Because originally this umbrella could cover me entirely. If I walk slower, I can reduce the chance of my large strides splashing water and dirtying my pants,” Lu Xu said seriously, looking at Lin Muxia. ”But now that the two of us can’t be perfectly covered, walking faster means we’ll get less wet.”

Lin Muxia stared blankly at Lu Xu’s serious explanation and couldn’t help but purse her lips. She glanced at Lu Xu’s slightly wet left shoulder and lowered her head in embarrassment. After thinking for a moment, the hand that was originally pulling his sleeve suddenly linked around Lu Xu’s arm, and her soft body pressed against him.

”This way... Junior will get less wet, right?” Lin Muxia spoke softly with her head down. After confirming that the raindrops were no longer falling on Lu Xu’s left shoulder, she smiled with satisfaction.

Just as Lu Xu was about to speak, a faint body fragrance drifted into his nostrils. The soft, wonderful sensation coming from his right arm was an experience Lu Xu had never had before.

Lu Xu turned his head and looked at the senior pressed against his shoulder. Her small nose, her rosy lips, and her seductive Peach Blossom Eyes were much closer than before.

The words ”But you’re clearly wet too” were forcibly swallowed back by Lu Xu.

Raindrops pattered against the umbrella, yet this rainy night didn’t seem so cold anymore. On the contrary, Lu Xu felt his body, wrapped in that soft sensation, becoming incredibly hot, and his earlobes turned a traitorous crimson.

The few minutes’ walk felt incredibly long this time. Lu Xu felt as if he had forgotten how to walk normally; his steps became stiffer with every stride.

”Hey, Junior, I’m here.”

Lin Muxia was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, while Lu Xu was wearing an ordinary short-sleeved one. Although they were close before, there had been layers of fabric between them. This sudden physical contact made Lu Xu, who hadn’t had much contact with girls in eighteen years, instantly tense up, feeling as if he had been struck by electricity.

Lin Muxia withdrew her hand from Lu Xu’s arm, took out her Mobile Phone from her pocket, and said with a beaming smile, ”Thank you, Junior. Let’s add each other on WeChat. If there’s anything you don’t understand at school, you can ask me.”

”Oh, oh, okay.” Lu Xu snapped out of his daze and was about to take out his Mobile Phone from his pocket, only to realize his hands were occupied by the shopping bag and the umbrella handle. He looked up and said, ”My Mobile Phone is in my pants pocket. It’s not convenient for me to take it out, so maybe let’s forget about it.”

”It’s a small thing, I’ll help you.” Lin Muxia smiled and, without thinking much, reached her hand into Lu Xu’s bulging pants pocket.

Lu Xu opened his mouth, but before he could make a sound, he saw that soft little hand flexibly reach into his pocket. Even through two layers of fabric, the softness and warmth of the little hand were clearly transmitted to Lu Xu’s inner thigh.

Wait?

The moment Lin Muxia touched the Mobile Phone, her brain suddenly registered the situation.

Oh my god? This action is way too awkward!

A man and a woman alone under an umbrella...

And she had reached her hand into her junior’s pants pocket!

What kind of plot is this? This is way too easy to cause a misunderstanding!

Lin Muxia guiltily looked around; fortunately, no one was passing by.

Lin Muxia awkwardly took out the Mobile Phone and said, pretending not to care, ”Alright, hurry up and open WeChat. The Malatang is almost getting cold.”

”Mhm.” Lu Xu hurriedly opened WeChat and, feigning composure, brought up his QR Code.

Just now, the moment Lin Muxia took his Mobile Phone, Lu Xu felt more nervous than when taking an exam!

”I’m leaving now. Goodbye, Junior!” After scanning the code, Lin Muxia hurriedly lowered her head and jogged into the dormitory building.

But, in the moment she turned around just now, were her earlobes red? Lu Xu stood there blankly, watching Senior Lin’s figure gradually disappear behind the door...

No, why am I even considering such things! Lu Xu shook his head. There was still a novel waiting for him in the dorm!

Thinking about the wonders of the novel, the many stray thoughts that had just drifted into Lu Xu’s mind were mostly cleared away.

Only, on the way back to the dormitory building, Lu Xu looked at the side of his clothes that the senior had dampened. Why did his right arm feel a bit empty now that the weight was gone?

Chapter Two: The Junior Got Wet

”I’m back, I’m back.” Lin Muxia jogged upstairs and placed the Malatang delivery bag on the long table. ”Come eat quickly, this bag is still warm! I’ll go change my clothes first.”

”Oh my, why are your clothes so wet? And they’re white too.” Jiang Yun concernedly handed over a dry towel.

”It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s all worth it for the Malatang!” Lin Muxia put on a ”tragic” expression, then stuck her tongue out and said, ”It’s just my bad luck that I always lose at rock-paper-scissors and have to pick up the delivery.”

”Hurry and dish out the Malatang, I’m going to change my clothes.”

”Alright, thanks for your hard work, Beauty Lin.” Jiang Yun took out bowls and chopsticks for the two of them from the cabinet.

Lin Muxia walked into the dormitory’s bathroom, dried her hair with a towel, and then began to change.

By the time she hurriedly put on her pajamas and went out, Jiang Yun had already divided the Malatang into two bowls and placed them on the table.

”Let’s eat!” After sitting down, Lin Muxia picked up a slice of meat and put it in her mouth. The sour and spicy flavor stimulated her taste buds the moment the tender meat dissolved.

The satisfaction of eating her favorite food instantly dissolved the chill left on her body by the heavy rain. Lin Muxia stretched her limbs comfortably.

”Beauty Lin, I toast to you. Thanks to you, I can eat such delicious Malatang.” Jiang Yun smiled and raised the bowl containing the Malatang.

Lin Muxia also smiled and raised her bowl, clinking it with a sense of ceremony, then continued to lower her head and dig in.

However, Lin Muxia knew in her heart that Jiang Yun was deliberately teasing her. If she hadn’t happened to meet her junior, she would definitely be ten times more disheveled than she was now!

Wait, what? Lin Muxia suddenly remembered something.

When she was pressed against the junior, her clothes... seemed to be wet!

Doesn’t that mean she got the junior wet too!

Lin Muxia’s cheeks flushed. She suddenly felt a bit sorry for the junior. Not only did she hitch a ride under his umbrella, but she also got his clothes wet. Lin Muxia looked at the Malatang in front of her. Sigh, it’s all because of you! If it weren’t for the temptation of delicious food, how could I, Lin Muxia, have done something so socially bold!

But she really should find an opportunity to properly thank the junior.

How about treating him to a meal next time!

Lin Muxia took a bite of Malatang, took out her Mobile Phone, and found the newly added junior’s WeChat, [river of stars into dreams].

[summer moon cicada song]: Junior, thank you for today. I just realized my shirt was wet, so I must have gotten your clothes wet when I leaned on you. I’m really sorry. When you’re free, let me treat you to a meal; I can also tell you more about the campus.

After sending the message, Lin Muxia closed her Mobile Phone, finished the rest of the Malatang, and stretched her body contentedly.

What she didn’t expect was that every move she made while sending the message was caught by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun looked at her meaningfully, her lips curling into a mischievous smile.

After a while, Lin Muxia took her clothes and walked into the bathroom, preparing to take a good shower.

As it turned out, just as Lin Muxia took off her clothes, the bathroom door was pushed open by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun, who was quite a bit shorter than Lin Muxia, crept in and made a shushing gesture.

”Hey, what are you doing?” Lin Muxia chided with a smile, covering her upper body with her hands.

Unexpectedly, without a word, Jiang Yun pushed Lin Muxia into a corner. The coldness of the tiles reached Lin Muxia’s back.

”Spill it! Who was the man who sent you back just now? I saw everything from the window.” Jiang Yun ”threatened” with a grin as she moved her face closer to Lin Muxia’s, then finding her height insufficient, she stood on her tiptoes slightly.

”Ah, that...” The scene at the dormitory entrance flashed through Lin Muxia’s mind, and she couldn’t help but blush.

”Hey, you’re blushing!!” Jiang Yun pouted and said, ”Quick, tell me how far you’ve gotten.”

”You’re overthinking it, it was just a junior who walked me back on the way,” Lin Muxia said somewhat flusteredly.

”Oh~~ A junior~~ Xiaxia, you moved so fast~~” Jiang Yun said, intentionally dragging out her words. ”But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. After all, Beauty Lin is the easiest to get shy~~”

”Oh, you, you, you, you.” Lin Muxia’s ears turned even redder as she was teased, and she gave Jiang Yun a gentle push.

Jiang Yun took two steps back, then suddenly reached out both hands, gave Lin Muxia’s slender waist a squeeze, then stuck out her tongue and ran out.

When Lu Xu returned to the dormitory, he was also in quite a mess. His left shoulder had many rain marks because he had shared half the umbrella at first, and the right side of his clothes was wet from the senior’s proximity.

”Whoa, the rain is really heavy today. Even your umbrella couldn’t cover you, Lu Xu.”

Just as he walked into the dorm, Chen Ping leaned against his chair and sized up Lu Xu. It was hard to tell if he was being serious or joking.

”Ran into an accident,” Lu Xu explained, shaking the water off his umbrella and hanging it by the door.

”Accident?” Chen Ping’s interest was piqued by those words.

Chen Ping had been Lu Xu’s roommate for three years in high school. After they both got into the same university, Chen Ping had even gone directly to the counselor to request to stay in the same dorm as Lu Xu to continue their friendship.

Because of their many years of friendship, Chen Ping knew very well how rare the word ”accident” was for Lu Xu. Lu Xu had always been someone who liked to plan everything out clearly and execute it meticulously. Chen Ping, on the other hand, was exactly the opposite—casual and spontaneous.

”Just met someone who needed to share my umbrella on the way,” Lu Xu replied casually. He changed his clothes and sat down at his desk.

”Haha, you were targeted because you were carrying an umbrella! So there are things even you don’t expect.”

Lu Xu ignored him and opened the novel on his desk. Chen Ping had always been a talkative person; what he said in one day could probably equal what Lu Xu said in a week.

That two such people became friends could only be attributed to the wonders of fate.

Lu Xu looked at the dense text in the book, yet he felt that his concentration wasn’t as focused as usual.

What was going on?

Lu Xu frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose, but the image of the senior holding his arm just now involuntarily surfaced in his mind.

???

Lu Xu was startled by the image in his head.
