Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

461: Chapter 443 (Anti-theft Chapter) (Main text will be updated in one hour)Dark clouds covered the evening sky like a curtain, and the pitter-patter of raindrops continuously tapped against the treetops, the ground, and the edges of umbrellas.

Lu Xu held a blue umbrella, his other hand carrying a bag of newly purchased daily necessities.

It was a sudden downpour, and the pedestrians around him instantly became like ants on a hot pan, bowing their heads and rushing about in search of shelter from the rain.

Meanwhile, Lu Xu, walking unhurriedly with his umbrella, looked like someone from another world amidst the crowd.

To Lu Xu, no sudden downpour during the rainy season could make him panic. Because of his cautious and stubborn personality, he would carry that umbrella every single day he went out during the rainy season, even if the sky was perfectly clear when he left.

Looking at the panicked crowd around him, Lu Xu slightly raised an eyebrow. To him, his current composure was the reward for being prepared.

“Classmate!”

Lu Xu continued walking, minding his own business.

“Classmate!”

This time Lu Xu stopped, because someone had poked his shoulder from behind.

Lu Xu turned around, and what met his eyes was a young girl half a head shorter than him, her head slightly lowered, her long black hair already soaked by the rain. Lu Xu’s gaze shifted slightly downward; the wet white shirt not only clung to her body, outlining her curves, but also failed to fully conceal the colors of the garments beneath. It was as if Lu Xu had seen something forbidden; he quickly looked up, his face flushing slightly red.

“Is there something I can help you with?” Lu Xu’s eyes looked toward the dark sky in the distance.

“Classmate, are you heading back to the dorms?” The girl looked up as if gathering her courage, her eyes staring straight at Lu Xu.

The girl’s eyes were watery and bright, with a few raindrops hanging from her eyelashes, adding a touch of misty charm to her look.

“Yes.”

“Can you take me back with you!” The girl stood on her tiptoes, her clear eyes overflowing with a sense of pleading.

“Please, I came to the gate to pick up the Malatang our dorm ordered. Malatang... it has to be eaten while it’s hot to be delicious!”

Hearing such a peculiar reason, even Lu Xu couldn’t help but feel the corner of his mouth twitch slightly.

To him, this should count as a smile.

“Alright,” Lu Xu agreed involuntarily.

“That’s great, thank you!” The girl proactively stepped under the umbrella. Her hand hesitated in the air for a few moments before she lightly grabbed Lu Xu’s sleeve.

Lu Xu glanced at the girl out of the corner of his eye. Long, straight black hair, a dainty nose, and her tall figure while walking gave off a very elegant vibe.

“Junior, what’s your name?”

“How do you know I’m your junior?”

“Because I saw you at the freshman orientation yesterday. You’re very tall and quite noticeable.” The girl smiled at Lu Xu.

“Oh, I’m Lu Xu,” Lu Xu responded. Recalling yesterday’s orientation, he remembered only wanting to stand in a corner and finish the boring process as quickly as possible; he hadn’t expected to be remembered by a senior.

“I’m Lin Muxia, a Sophomore. You can call me Senior Lin,” Lin Muxia said with a smile, looking up at Lu Xu’s smooth-lined profile.

“Mm,” Lu Xu replied casually, yet he felt as if Lin Muxia’s voice had a kind of magic that made him want to hear more.

“Eh, why are you walking faster and faster?”

Lin Muxia took small, quick steps, watching as the sleeve she was holding was pulled further and further away.

“Because originally, this umbrella could cover my entire body. Walking slower would reduce the chance of my footsteps splashing water and getting my pants dirty,” Lu Xu said, looking at Lin Muxia seriously. “But now that the two of us can’t be perfectly covered, walking faster will mean getting less soaked by the rain.”

Lin Muxia stared blankly at Lu Xu’s serious explanation and couldn’t help but purse her lips. She glanced at Lu Xu’s slightly wet left shoulder and lowered her head, feeling a bit guilty. After thinking for a moment, the hand that had been pulling his sleeve suddenly hooked around Lu Xu’s arm, and her soft body pressed against him.

“This way... my junior will get less wet, right?” Lin Muxia murmured with her head down. After confirming that raindrops were no longer hitting Lu Xu’s left shoulder, she smiled with satisfaction.

Just as Lu Xu was about to speak, a faint body fragrance drifted into his nostrils, and the soft, wonderful sensation coming from his right arm was an experience he had never had before.

Lu Xu turned his head and looked at the senior leaning against his shoulder. Her dainty nose, rosy lips, and those charming peach blossom eyes were even closer than before.

The words “But you’re clearly wet too” were forced back down by Lu Xu.

The rain pitter-pattered onto the umbrella, yet this rainy night didn’t seem so cold anymore. On the contrary, Lu Xu felt his body, wrapped in that soft touch, becoming incredibly hot, and his earlobes turned a traitorous crimson.

The few minutes’ walk felt incredibly long this time. Lu Xu felt as if he had forgotten how to perform basic walking, his steps becoming stiffer with every move.

“Eh, Junior, I’m here.” Lin Muxia suddenly poked Lu Xu’s arm with her finger.

Lin Muxia was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, while Lu Xu was wearing a very ordinary short-sleeved one. Although they had been close earlier, there had still been layers of fabric between them. Now, this sudden physical contact made Lu Xu, who hadn’t had much contact with girls in eighteen years, instantly tense up, feeling like he had been struck by lightning.

Lin Muxia withdrew her hand from Lu Xu’s arm, pulled her Mobile Phone out of her pocket, and said with a beaming smile, “Thank you, Junior. Let’s add each other on WeChat. If there’s anything you don’t understand at school, you can ask me.”

“Oh, okay.” Lu Xu snapped out of his daze and went to pull his Mobile Phone from his pocket, only to realize his hands were occupied by the shopping bag and the umbrella handle. He looked up and said, “The Mobile Phone is in my pants pocket. My hands aren’t free to take it out, so maybe we should just forget it.”

“No big deal, I’ll help you.” Lin Muxia smiled and, without thinking much, reached her hand into Lu Xu’s bulging pants pocket.

Lu Xu opened his mouth, but before he could make a sound, he saw that soft little hand nimbly slip into his pocket. Even through two layers of fabric, the softness and warmth of the small hand were clearly transmitted to the inside of Lu Xu’s thigh.

Wait?

The moment Lin Muxia touched the Mobile Phone, her brain finally registered the situation.

Oh my god? This action is way too awkward, isn’t it?

A man and a woman alone under an umbrella...

And she had even reached her hand into her junior’s pants pocket!

What kind of plot is this? This is way too easy to cause a misunderstanding!

Lin Muxia guiltily looked around, luckily finding no one passing by.

Lin Muxia awkwardly pulled out the Mobile Phone and said, pretending not to care, “Alright, quickly open WeChat. The Malatang is almost getting cold.”

“Mm.” Lu Xu hurriedly opened WeChat and, feigning composure, brought up the QR code.

Just now, the moment Lin Muxia took his Mobile Phone, Lu Xu felt more nervous than when he was taking an exam!

“I’m heading in first. Goodbye, Junior!” After scanning the code, Lin Muxia hurriedly ran into the dormitory building with her head down.

However, in the moment she turned around, were her earlobes red? Lu Xu stood there in a daze, watching Senior Lin’s figure gradually disappear behind the door...

No, why am I considering such things! Lu Xu shook his head. There was still a novel waiting for him to read in the dorm!

Thinking about the wonders of the novel, many of the stray thoughts that had just drifted into Lu Xu’s mind were mostly cleared away.

Only, while walking back to his dorm building, Lu Xu looked at the half of his clothes that had been dampened by the senior. Why did his right arm feel a bit empty now that the weight was gone?

Chapter 2: Junior is Wet

“I’m back, I’m back.” Lin Muxia jogged upstairs and placed the takeout bag containing the Malatang on the long table. “Come eat quickly, the bag is still warm! I’m going to change my clothes first.”

“Oh my, how did your clothes get so wet? And they’re white too.” Jiang Yun caringly handed over a dry towel.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. It was worth it for the Malatang!” Lin Muxia put on a “tragic” expression, then stuck out her tongue. “Who told me to have such bad luck every time? I lost at rock-paper-scissors so I had to get the takeout.”

“Go ahead and dish out the Malatang, I’m going to change.”

“Alright, thanks for your hard work, Beauty Lin.” Jiang Yun took out bowls and chopsticks for two from the cabinet.

Lin Muxia walked into the dormitory bathroom, dried her hair with the towel, and began to change her clothes.

By the time she hurriedly put on her pajamas and came out, Jiang Yun had already split the Malatang into two bowls on the table.

“Let’s eat!” After sitting down, Lin Muxia picked up a slice of meat and put it in her mouth. The sour and spicy flavor stimulated her taste buds the moment it melted into the tender meat.

The satisfaction of eating her favorite food immediately dissolved the coldness left on her body by the rain. Lin Muxia stretched her limbs comfortably.

“Beauty Lin, I salute you. Thanks to you, I can eat such delicious Malatang.” Jiang Yun smiled and raised her bowl of Malatang.

Lin Muxia also smiled and raised her bowl, clinking it with a sense of ritual, then continued to focus on eating.

However, Lin Muxia knew very well that Jiang Yun was teasing her on purpose. If she hadn’t happened to run into that junior, she would definitely be ten times more disheveled than she was now!

Eh, wait? Lin Muxia suddenly remembered something.

When she was pressed against the junior, her clothes... were wet, right!

Doesn’t that mean she got the junior wet too!

Lin Muxia’s cheeks flushed. She suddenly felt a bit sorry for the junior. Not only did she hitch a ride under his umbrella, but she even got his clothes wet. Lin Muxia looked at the Malatang in front of her. Sigh, it’s all because of you! If it weren’t for the temptation of delicious food, how could I, Lin Muxia, have done something so socially bold!

But she really should find an opportunity to thank him properly.

How about treating the junior to a meal next time!

Lin Muxia took a bite of Malatang, pulled out her Mobile Phone, and found the newly added WeChat of her junior, [river of stars into dreams].

[summer moon cicada song]: Junior, thank you for today. I just realized my shirt was wet, so I must have gotten your clothes wet when I was leaning on you. I’m really sorry. When you’re free, let me treat you to a meal, and I can tell you more about the campus while we’re at it.

After sending the message, Lin Muxia closed her Mobile Phone, finished the rest of the Malatang, and stretched her body with satisfaction.

What she didn’t expect was that every move she made while sending the message had been observed by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun looked at her meaningfully, a mischievous smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

After a while, Lin Muxia took her clothes and walked into the bathroom, preparing to take a nice shower.

But just as Lin Muxia had taken her clothes off, the bathroom door was pushed open by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun, who was quite a bit shorter than Lin Muxia, tiptoed in and made a shushing gesture.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Lin Muxia said with a playful scolding smile, covering her upper body with her hands.

Without a word, Jiang Yun pushed Lin Muxia into the corner. The coldness of the tiles seeped through Lin Muxia’s back.

“Confess! Who was the man who sent you back just now? I saw everything from the window.” Jiang Yun “threatened” her with a smirk, bringing her face close to Lin Muxia’s. Then, realizing her height wasn’t quite enough, she lightly stood on her tiptoes.

“Ah, that...” The scene at the dorm entrance flashed through Lin Muxia’s mind, and she couldn’t help but blush.

“Eh, you’re blushing!!” Jiang Yun pouted. “Quickly tell me, how far have you two gotten?”

“You’re overthinking it. It was just a junior who happened to be passing by and sent me back,” Lin Muxia said somewhat flusteredly.

“Oh~~ a junior~~ Xiaxia, you’re moving so fast~~” Jiang Yun said, intentionally drawing out her words. “But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. After all, Beauty Lin is the easiest to get embarrassed~~”

“Oh, you, you, you, you.” Lin Muxia’s ears turned even redder at the comments, and she gave Jiang Yun a gentle push.

Jiang Yun took two steps back, then suddenly reached out with both hands, pinched Lin Muxia’s slender waist, then stuck out her tongue and ran out.

When Lu Xu returned to the dorm, he was also in quite a mess. His left shoulder had quite a few rain stains from sharing half the umbrella at first, and the right side of his clothes was wet from the senior being so close.

“Yo, the rain is really heavy today. Even your umbrella couldn’t cover you, Lu Xu.” As soon as he walked into the dorm, Chen Ping leaned against his chair and sized up Lu Xu. It was hard to tell if he was being serious or joking.

“Ran into an accident,” Lu Xu explained, shaking the umbrella dry before hanging it by the door.

“An accident?” Chen Ping’s interest was piqued by those words.

Chen Ping had been Lu Xu’s roommate for three years in high school. After they both got into the same university, Chen Ping had even gone directly to the counselor to request to continue being in the same dorm as Lu Xu to maintain their friendship.

Precisely because of their many years of friendship, Chen Ping knew how rare the word “accident” was for Lu Xu. Because Lu Xu had always been someone who liked to plan everything out clearly and execute it meticulously. Chen Ping, on the other hand, was the exact opposite—free-spirited.

“Just met someone on the road who needed to share the umbrella,” Lu Xu replied casually. He changed his clothes and sat down at his desk.

“Haha, you were targeted because you were carrying an umbrella! So there are things even you don’t expect.”

Lu Xu ignored him and opened the novel on his desk. Chen Ping had always been a talkative person; what he said in one day could probably top what Lu Xu said in a week.

That two such people became friends could only be attributed to the wonders of fate.

Lu Xu looked at the dense text in the book, yet he felt that his focus wasn’t as concentrated as usual.

What’s going on?

Lu Xu frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose, but the image of the senior hooking her arm around his involuntarily surfaced in his mind.

???

Lu Xu was startled by the image in his head.

When did I ever have such stray thoughts?
