Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

454: Chapter 439 Anti-theftDark clouds covered the evening sky like a curtain, as a pitter-patter of raindrops continuously beat against the treetops, the ground, and the edges of umbrellas.

Lu Xu held a blue umbrella, while his other hand carried a bag of newly purchased daily necessities.

It was a sudden downpour, and the pedestrians around him instantly became like ants on a hot pan, bowing their heads and hurriedly searching for shelter from the rain.

Meanwhile, Lu Xu, walking unhurriedly with his umbrella, seemed like a person from another world amidst the crowd.

To Lu Xu, no unannounced downpour during the rainy season would make him panic. Because of his cautious and stubborn personality, he would bring that umbrella whenever he went out on any day during the rainy season, even if the sky was clear when he left.

Looking at the panicked crowd around him, Lu Xu slightly raised his eyebrows; to him, the composure at this moment was the reward for those who were prepared.

”Classmate!”

Lu Xu continued walking on his own.

”Classmate!”

Lu Xu stopped this time because someone poked his shoulder from behind.

Lu Xu turned around, and what met his eyes was a young girl half a head shorter than him, her head slightly lowered, her long black hair already wet from the rain. Lu Xu’s gaze shifted slightly downward; the white shirt soaked by the rain not only clung to her body, outlining the girl’s curves, but also failed to fully conceal the colors of the garments beneath. Lu Xu felt as if he had seen something forbidden, quickly looking up with his face slightly flushing red.

”Is there something you need?” Lu Xu looked toward the dark sky in the distance.

”Classmate, are you heading back to the dormitory?” The girl looked up as if gathering her courage, her eyes staring straight at Lu Xu.

The girl’s eyes were moist and bright, with a few raindrops hanging from her eyelashes, adding a touch of blurriness to her look.

”Yes.”

”Can you take me back with you!” The girl stood on her tiptoes, her clear eyes overflowing with a sense of pleading.

”Please, I came to the entrance to pick up the Malatang our dorm ordered. Malatang... must be eaten while it’s hot to be delicious!”

Hearing such a peculiar reason, even Lu Xu couldn’t help but have the corner of his mouth twitch slightly.

To him, this probably counted as a smile.

”I can,” Lu Xu agreed involuntarily.

”Great, thank you!” The girl proactively stepped under the umbrella, her hand hesitating in the air for a few moments before gently grabbing Lu Xu’s sleeve.

Lu Xu glanced at the girl out of the corner of his eye. Long straight black hair, a petite and elegant nose, and her tall figure while walking gave off a very graceful feeling.

”Junior, what’s your name?”

”How do you know I’m a junior?”

”Because I saw you at yesterday’s Freshman Orientation. You’re very tall and quite conspicuous.” The girl smiled at Lu Xu.

”Oh, my name is Lu Xu,” Lu Xu responded, recalling yesterday’s Freshman Orientation. At the time, he only thought about standing in a corner to finish the boring process as quickly as possible, not expecting to be remembered by a senior.

”My name is Lin Muxia, a Sophomore. You can call me Senior Lin,” Lin Muxia said with a smile, looking up at Lu Xu’s smooth-lined profile.

”Mm,” Lu Xu replied casually, yet he felt as if Lin Muxia’s voice had some kind of magic, making him unable to resist wanting to hear a few more words.

”Eh, why are you walking faster and faster?”

Lin Muxia took small steps, watching as the sleeve she was holding was being pulled further away.

”Because this umbrella could originally cover my entire body. Walking slower reduces the chance of my footsteps splashing water and dirtying my pants,” Lu Xu said seriously, looking at Lin Muxia. ”But now the two of us can’t be perfectly covered, so walking faster will let us get hit by less rain.”

Lin Muxia stared blankly at Lu Xu’s serious explanation, involuntarily pursed her lips, and then glanced at Lu Xu’s slightly wet left shoulder, lowering her head in embarrassment. After thinking for a moment, the hand that was originally pulling his sleeve suddenly hooked onto Lu Xu’s arm, and her body softly pressed against him.

”This way... Junior will get hit by less rain,” Lin Muxia spoke in a low voice with her head down, and after confirming that raindrops were no longer falling on Lu Xu’s left shoulder, she smiled with satisfaction.

Just as Lu Xu was about to speak, a faint body fragrance wafted into his nostrils, and the soft, wondrous sensation from his right arm was an experience he had never had before.

Lu Xu turned his head and looked at the senior pressed against his shoulder. A petite nose, rosy lips, and a pair of charming peach blossom eyes were now closer than before.

The sentence ”But you’re clearly wet too” was forcefully swallowed back by Lu Xu.

Rain pitter-pattered on the umbrella surface, but this rainy night didn’t seem so cold anymore. On the contrary, Lu Xu felt his body, wrapped in that soft touch, becoming incredibly hot, and his earlobes unhelpfully flushed crimson.

The few minutes’ walk seemed incredibly long this time. Lu Xu felt as if he had even forgotten how to walk normally, his steps becoming stiffer with every pace.

”Eh, Junior, I’ve arrived,” Lin Muxia suddenly poked Lu Xu’s arm with her finger.

Lin Muxia was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, while Lu Xu was wearing a very ordinary short-sleeved one. Although the two were very close before, there were still layers of fabric between them. Now, this sudden physical contact made Lu Xu, who hadn’t had much contact with girls for eighteen years, instantly tense his body, feeling a sudden sensation like an electric shock.

Lin Muxia pulled her hand from between Lu Xu’s arms, took out her Mobile Phone from her pocket, and said with a smile, ”Thank you, Junior. Let’s add each other on WeChat. If there’s anything you don’t understand in school, you can ask me.”

”Oh, oh, okay.” Lu Xu snapped out of his daze and was about to take his Mobile Phone out of his pocket, but found that his hands were occupied by the shopping bag and the umbrella handle. He looked up and said, ”The Mobile Phone is in my pants pocket. It’s not convenient for me to take it out, so maybe forget about it.”

”It’s a small matter, I’ll just help you.” Lin Muxia smiled and, without thinking much, reached her hand into Lu Xu’s bulging pants pocket.

Lu Xu opened his mouth, but before he could make a sound, he saw that soft little hand flexibly reach into his pants pocket. Even through two layers of fabric, the softness and warmth of the small hand were still clearly transmitted to the inside of Lu Xu’s thigh.

Wait?

The moment Lin Muxia touched the phone, her brain suddenly reacted.

Oh my god? Isn’t this action too embarrassing?

A lone man and woman hiding under an umbrella...

And I even stuck my hand into Junior’s pants pocket!

What kind of plot is this? This is way too easy to cause a misunderstanding!

Lin Muxia guiltily looked around; fortunately, no one was passing by.

Lin Muxia awkwardly took out the phone and said, pretending not to care, ”Alright, hurry and open WeChat, the Malatang is almost getting cold.”

”Mm.” Lu Xu hurriedly opened WeChat and, pretending to be calm, brought up the QR code.

Just at the moment Lin Muxia took his phone, Lu Xu felt more nervous than taking an exam!

”I’m leaving first, goodbye Junior!” After scanning the code, Lin Muxia hurriedly lowered her head and jogged into the dormitory building.

But, at the moment she turned her head just now, were her earlobes red? Lu Xu stood blankly on the spot, watching Senior Lin’s figure gradually disappear behind the door...

No, why am I considering such things! Lu Xu shook his head. There were still novels waiting for him to read in the dorm!

Thinking about the beauty of novels, many of the stray thoughts that had just drifted into Lu Xu’s heart were mostly eliminated.

However, on the way back to the dormitory building, Lu Xu looked at the half of his clothes that had been wetted by the senior; why did his right arm feel a bit empty after losing that bit of weight?

Chapter 2: Junior is Wet

”I’m back, I’m back.” Lin Muxia jogged upstairs and placed the takeout bag containing the Malatang on the long table. ”Come and eat quickly, this bag is still warm! I’ll change my clothes first.”

”Oh dear, why are your clothes so wet? And they’re white too.” Jiang Yun handed over a dry towel with concern.

”It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s all worth it for the Malatang!” Lin Muxia put on a ”tragic” expression, then stuck out her tongue. ”Who told me to have bad luck every time and lose at rock-paper-scissors to pick up the takeout.”

”Hurry and serve the Malatang, I’m going to change my clothes.”

”Okay, thanks for your hard work, Beauty Lin.” Jiang Yun took out bowls and chopsticks for two from the cupboard.

Lin Muxia walked into the bathroom in the dorm, wiped her head with a dry towel, and then began to change her clothes.

By the time she hurriedly changed into her pajamas and went out, Jiang Yun had already divided one bowl of Malatang into two and placed them on the table.

”Let’s eat!” After sitting down, Lin Muxia picked up a slice of meat and put it in her mouth. The sour and spicy flavor stimulated Lin Muxia’s taste buds the moment it melted into the tender meat.

The satisfaction of eating her favorite food instantly dissolved the coldness left on her body by the heavy rain. Lin Muxia comfortably stretched her limbs.

”Beauty Lin, I toast to you. Thanks to you, I can eat such delicious Malatang.” Jiang Yun laughed and raised her bowl of Malatang.

Lin Muxia also laughed and raised her bowl, clinking it with a sense of ceremony, then continued to lower her head and eat.

However, Lin Muxia knew in her heart that Jiang Yun was intentionally teasing her. If she hadn’t happened to meet the junior, she would definitely be ten times more disheveled than she was now!

Eh, wait? Lin Muxia suddenly seemed to remember something.

When I was pressed against Junior, my clothes... seemed to be wet!

Doesn’t that mean I also got Junior wet!

Lin Muxia’s cheeks flushed red, and she suddenly felt a bit sorry for the junior. Not only did she hitch a ride under his umbrella, but she also got his clothes wet. Lin Muxia looked at the Malatang in front of her. Sigh, it’s all because of you! If it weren’t for the temptation of delicious food, how could I, Lin Muxia, have done something so socially bold!

But she really should find an opportunity to properly thank the junior.

Why not treat Junior to a meal next time!

Lin Muxia took a bite of Malatang and took out her phone to find the newly added WeChat of the junior, [river of stars into dreams].

[summer moon cicada song]: Junior, thank you for today. I just realized my shirt was wet, so I must have gotten your clothes wet when I was leaning against you. I’m really sorry. When you’re free, let me treat you to a meal, and I can tell you more about the campus.

After sending the message, Lin Muxia closed her phone, finished the rest of the Malatang, and stretched her body contentedly.

What she didn’t expect was that every move she made while sending the message was caught by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun looked at her meaningfully, a mischievous smile curling at the corner of her mouth.

After a while, Lin Muxia took her clothes and walked into the bathroom, preparing to take a good shower.

As a result, just as Lin Muxia took off her clothes, the bathroom door was pushed open by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun, who was quite a bit shorter than Lin Muxia, crept in and made a shushing gesture.

”Eh, what are you doing?” Lin Muxia smiled reproachfully and covered her upper body with her hands.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Yun without a word pushed Lin Muxia into a corner. The coldness of the tiles transmitted from Lin Muxia’s back.

”Confess! Who was the man who just sent you back? I saw everything from the window.” Jiang Yun ”threatened” with a smirk as she leaned her face close to Lin Muxia’s, then finding her height seemingly insufficient, she gently stood on her tiptoes.

”Ah, this...” The scene at the dormitory building flashed through Lin Muxia’s mind, and a blush couldn’t help but rise to her cheeks.

”Eh, you’re blushing!!” Jiang Yun pouted and said, ”Hurry up and tell me, how far have you two gotten?”

”You’re overthinking it, it was just a junior who gave me a ride back on his way.” Lin Muxia said somewhat flusteredly.

”Oh~~ Junior~~ Xia Xia, you move so fast~~” Jiang Yun deliberately drawled her words. ”But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. After all, Beauty Lin gets embarrassed the easiest~~”

”Oh, you, you, you, you.” Lin Muxia’s earlobes turned even redder as she was teased, and she gave Jiang Yun a gentle push.

Jiang Yun stepped back two paces, then suddenly reached out both hands and pinched Lin Muxia’s slender waist before sticking out her tongue and running out.

When Lu Xu returned to the dormitory, he was also in quite a mess. His left shoulder had many rain marks because he had shared half of the umbrella at the beginning, and the clothes on his right side were even wetter because the senior had leaned close to him.

”Yo, the rain is so heavy today that even your umbrella couldn’t cover you, Lu Xu.” As soon as he walked into the dorm, Chen Ping leaned back in his chair and looked at Lu Xu while speaking. It was unclear if he was being serious or joking.

”Ran into a little accident.” Lu Xu explained, folding up the umbrella he had already shaken dry and hanging it by the door.

”Accident?” Chen Ping’s interest was piqued by these words.

Chen Ping was Lu Xu’s roommate for all three years of high school. After both were admitted to the same university, Chen Ping even went directly to the Counselor to request to continue being in the same dormitory as Lu Xu to prolong their friendship.

And precisely because of so many years of friendship, Chen Ping knew deeply how rare the word ”accident” was for Lu Xu. Because Lu Xu had always been someone who liked to plan everything clearly and complete it meticulously. Chen Ping, on the other hand, was the exact opposite, being very casual.

”I just ran into someone hitching a ride under my umbrella on the way.” Lu Xu replied casually, changed his clothes, and sat down at the table.

”Haha, you were targeted because you brought an umbrella! So there are things you didn’t expect too.”

Lu Xu ignored him and flipped open the novel on the table. Chen Ping had always been a very talkative person; what he said in one day could probably top what Lu Xu said in a week.

That these two became friends, one could only marvel at the wonders of fate.

Lu Xu looked at the dense text in the book, yet he felt his concentration wasn’t as focused as usual.

What was going on?

Lu Xu frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose, but the image of the senior hooking her arm around his just now unconsciously surfaced in his mind.

???

Lu Xu was startled by the image in his head.

Since when did I start having such stray thoughts?
