Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

469: Chapter 451 (Anti-theft chapter, the main text will be updated in one hour)Pitch-black clouds covered the evening sky like a curtain, as pattering raindrops continuously tapped against treetops, the ground, and umbrella rims.

Lu Xu held a blue umbrella, his other hand carrying a bag of newly purchased daily necessities.

It was a sudden downpour, and the pedestrians around him instantly became like ants on a hot pan, heads lowered as they scurried about looking for shelter.

Meanwhile, Lu Xu, walking unhurriedly with his umbrella, seemed like a person from another world amidst the crowd.

To Lu Xu, no unannounced downpour during the rainy season could make him panic. Due to his cautious and stubborn nature, he would bring that umbrella whenever he went out during the rainy season, even if the sky was clear when he left.

Watching the panicked crowd around him, Lu Xu slightly raised an eyebrow; to him, his current composure was the reward for being prepared.

”Classmate!”

Lu Xu continued walking, minding his own business.

”Classmate!”

This time Lu Xu stopped because someone poked his shoulder from behind.

Lu Xu turned around, and what met his eyes was a young girl half a head shorter than him, her head slightly lowered, her long black hair already soaked by the rain. Lu Xu’s gaze shifted down slightly; the white shirt, wet from the rain, not only clung to her body, tracing the girl’s curves, but also failed to completely hide the colors of the garments beneath. As if he had seen something forbidden, Lu Xu quickly looked up, his face flushing slightly.

”Is there something I can help you with?” Lu Xu looked toward the dark sky in the distance.

”Classmate, are you going back to the dormitory?” The girl looked up as if gathering her courage, her eyes staring straight at Lu Xu.

The girl’s eyes were watery, and the few raindrops hanging from her eyelashes added a touch of blurriness to them.

”Yes.”

”Can you take me back with you?” The girl stood on her tiptoes, her clear eyes filled with a sense of pleading.

”Please, I came to the gate to pick up the Malatang our dorm ordered. Malatang... it must be eaten while it’s hot to taste good!”

Hearing such an odd reason, even Lu Xu couldn’t help but have the corner of his mouth twitch slightly.

To him, this could be considered a smile.

”Okay,” Lu Xu agreed involuntarily.

”Great, thank you!” The girl proactively stepped under the umbrella. Her hand hesitated in the air a few times before she lightly grabbed Lu Xu’s sleeve.

Lu Xu glanced at the girl out of the corner of his eye. Long, straight black hair, a small, delicate nose, and her tall stature while walking gave off a very elegant vibe.

”Junior, what’s your name?”

”How did you know I’m a junior?”

”Because I saw you at the Freshman Orientation yesterday. You’re very tall and stand out.” The girl smiled at Lu Xu.

”Oh, I’m Lu Xu,” Lu Xu replied. Recalling yesterday’s orientation, Lu Xu had only thought about standing in a corner to finish the boring process as quickly as possible; he didn’t expect to be remembered by the senior.

”My name is Lin Muxia, a Sophomore. You can call me Senior Lin,” Lin Muxia said with a smile, looking up at Lu Xu’s smooth profile.

”Mhm,” Lu Xu replied casually, yet he felt as though Lin Muxia’s voice had a certain magic to it, making him want to hear more.

”Eh, why are you walking faster and faster?”

Lin Muxia took small, quick steps, watching as the sleeve she was holding was pulled further and further away.

”Because this umbrella could originally cover my entire body. Walking slower reduces the chance of my movements splashing water and dirtying my pants,” Lu Xu said seriously, looking at Lin Muxia. ”But now, the two of us can’t be perfectly covered. Walking faster means getting hit by less rain.”

Lin Muxia stared blankly at Lu Xu’s serious explanation and couldn’t help but purse her lips. Glancing at Lu Xu’s slightly wet left shoulder, she lowered her head in embarrassment. After thinking for a moment, the hand that had been pulling his sleeve suddenly linked around Lu Xu’s arm, and her soft body pressed against him.

”This way... Junior will get less wet,” Lin Muxia whispered with her head down. After confirming that raindrops were no longer falling on Lu Xu’s left shoulder, she smiled with satisfaction.

Just as Lu Xu was about to speak, a faint body fragrance wafted into his nostrils, and the soft, wondrous sensation from his right arm was an experience he had never had before.

Lu Xu turned his head and observed the senior pressed against his shoulder. A small, delicate nose, rosy lips, and a pair of charming peach blossom eyes were now even closer than before.

The sentence ”But you’re clearly wet too” was forced back down by Lu Xu.

Rain pitter-pattered onto the umbrella surface, yet this rainy night didn’t seem so cold anymore. On the contrary, Lu Xu felt his body, wrapped in that soft sensation, become incredibly hot, and his earlobes turned a traitorous crimson.

A few minutes’ journey felt incredibly long this time. Lu Xu felt as if he had forgotten even how to walk, his steps becoming stiffer with each stride.

”Eh, Junior, I’m here.” Lin Muxia suddenly poked Lu Xu’s arm with her finger.

Lin Muxia was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, while Lu Xu was wearing a very ordinary short-sleeved one. Although they were close before, there were still layers of fabric between them. But now, this sudden physical contact made Lu Xu, who hadn’t had much contact with girls in eighteen years, instantly tense up, feeling as if he’d been struck by an electric current.

Lin Muxia withdrew her hand from Lu Xu’s arm, took out her Mobile Phone from her pocket, and said with a smile, ”Thanks, Junior. Let’s add each other on WeChat. If there’s anything you don’t understand at school, you can ask me.”

”Oh, okay.” Lu Xu snapped out of his daze and went to take his Mobile Phone out of his pocket, only to find both his hands occupied by the shopping bag and the umbrella handle. He looked up and said, ”The Mobile Phone is in my pants pocket. It’s not convenient for me to take it out, so maybe forget it.”

”It’s a small matter, I’ll help you.” Lin Muxia smiled and, without thinking much, reached her hand into Lu Xu’s bulging pants pocket.

Lu Xu opened his mouth, but before he could make a sound, he saw that soft little hand nimbly reach into his pants pocket. Even through two layers of fabric, the softness and warmth of the small hand were clearly transmitted to the inside of Lu Xu’s thigh.

Wait?

The moment Lin Muxia touched the Mobile Phone, her brain suddenly processed what was happening.

Oh my god? This action is too embarrassing!

A man and a woman alone under an umbrella...

And she had even reached into her junior’s pants pocket!

What kind of plot is this? This is way too easy to cause a misunderstanding!

Lin Muxia looked around guiltily; fortunately, no one was passing by.

Lin Muxia awkwardly took out the Mobile Phone and said, pretending not to care, ”Alright, hurry up and open WeChat. The Malatang is getting cold.”

”Mhm.” Lu Xu hurriedly opened WeChat and, feigning composure, pulled up the QR Code.

Just now, when Lin Muxia took his Mobile Phone, Lu Xu felt more nervous than when taking an exam!

”I’m leaving first, bye Junior!” After scanning the code, Lin Muxia hurriedly lowered her head and ran into the dormitory building.

But, in the moment she turned her head just now, were her earlobes red? Lu Xu stood there dazed, watching Senior Lin’s figure gradually disappear behind the door...

No, why was he considering such things! Lu Xu shook his head. There was a novel waiting for him to read in the dorm!

Thinking about the wonders of the novel, many of the stray thoughts that had just drifted into Lu Xu’s mind were mostly cleared away.

Only, on the way back to the dormitory building, Lu Xu looked at the side of his clothes that had been dampened by the senior. Why did his right arm feel a bit empty after losing that weight?

Chapter 2: Junior is Wet

”I’m back, I’m back.” Lin Muxia jogged upstairs and placed the Malatang delivery bag on the long table. ”Come eat quickly, the bag is still warm! I’ll change my clothes first.”

”Oh my, how did your clothes get so wet? And they’re white.” Jiang Yun caringly handed her a dry towel.

”It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s all worth it for the Malatang!” Lin Muxia put on a ”tragic” expression, then stuck out her tongue. ”Who told me to always have bad luck and lose at rock-paper-scissors to pick up the delivery?”

”Hurry up and serve the Malatang, I’m going to change.”

”Alright, thanks for the hard work, Beauty Lin.” Jiang Yun took out bowls and chopsticks for two from the cupboard.

Lin Muxia walked into the dormitory’s bathroom, dried her hair with a dry towel, and then began to change.

By the time she hurriedly changed into her pajamas and came out, Jiang Yun had already divided the bowl of Malatang into two bowls on the table.

”Let’s eat!” After sitting down, Lin Muxia picked up a slice of meat and put it in her mouth. The sour and spicy flavor stimulated her taste buds the moment it dissolved into the soft meat.

The satisfaction of eating her favorite food immediately dissolved the coldness left on her body by the previous heavy rain. Lin Muxia stretched her limbs comfortably.

”Beauty Lin, I toast to you. Thanks to you, I can eat such delicious Malatang.” Jiang Yun smiled and raised the bowl containing the Malatang.

Lin Muxia also smiled and raised her bowl, clinking it with a sense of ceremony, then continued to lower her head and eat.

However, Lin Muxia knew in her heart that Jiang Yun was intentionally teasing her. To be honest, if she hadn’t happened to meet her junior, she would definitely be ten times more pathetic than she was now!

Wait, what? Lin Muxia suddenly seemed to remember something.

When she was pressed against her junior, her clothes... seemed to be wet!

Then didn’t she get her junior wet too!

Lin Muxia’s cheeks flushed. She suddenly felt a bit sorry for her junior. Not only did she hitch a ride under his umbrella, but she also got his clothes wet. Lin Muxia looked at the Malatang in front of her. Sigh, it’s all because of you! If not for the temptation of delicious food, how could I, Lin Muxia, have done something so socially bold!

But she really should find an opportunity to properly thank her junior.

How about treating him to a meal next time?

Lin Muxia took a bite of Malatang and took out her Mobile Phone to find the WeChat of the newly added junior, [river of stars into dreams].

[summer moon cicada song]: Junior, thank you for today. I just realized my shirt was wet, so I must have gotten your clothes wet when I leaned against you. I’m really sorry. When you’re free, let me treat you to a meal; I can also tell you more about the campus.

After sending the message, Lin Muxia closed her Mobile Phone, finished the rest of the Malatang, and stretched her body contentedly.

What she didn’t expect was that every move she made while sending the message was caught by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun looked at her meaningfully, a mischievous smile curling at the corner of her mouth.

After a while, Lin Muxia took her clothes and walked into the bathroom, preparing to take a good shower.

As a result, just as Lin Muxia took off her clothes, the bathroom door was pushed open by Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun, who was quite a bit shorter than Lin Muxia, crept in and made a shushing gesture.

”Hey, what are you doing?” Lin Muxia laughed and crossed her arms over her upper body.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Yun pushed Lin Muxia into a corner without a word. The coldness of the tiles radiated from Lin Muxia’s back.

”Spill it! Who was the man who just sent you back? I saw everything from the window.” Jiang Yun ”threatened” with a mischievous grin, leaning her face close to Lin Muxia’s. Then, finding her height insufficient, she lightly stood on her tiptoes.

”Ah, that...” The scene at the bottom of the dormitory building surfaced in Lin Muxia’s mind, and she couldn’t help but blush.

”Eh, you’re blushing!!” Jiang Yun pouted. ”Quickly tell me, how far have you two gotten?”

”You’re overthinking it. It was just a junior who happened to be on the way and walked me back,” Lin Muxia said somewhat flusteredly.

”Oh~~ Junior~~ Xiaxia, you move so fast~~” Jiang Yun said, intentionally dragging out her words. ”But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. After all, Beauty Lin is the most easily embarrassed~~”

”Oh, you, you, you, you.” Lin Muxia’s earlobes turned even redder at the words, and she gave Jiang Yun a gentle push.

Jiang Yun took two steps back, then suddenly reached out with both hands, gave Lin Muxia’s slender waist a pinch, then stuck out her tongue and ran out.

When Lu Xu returned to the dormitory, he was also in a rather pathetic state. His left shoulder had quite a few rain marks because he had shared half the umbrella at first, and the right side of his clothes was wet from the senior’s proximity.

”Yo, the rain is so heavy today that even your umbrella couldn’t cover you, Lu Xu?” Just as he walked into the dorm, Chen Ping leaned back in his chair and looked Lu Xu over. It was hard to tell if he was being serious or joking.

”Ran into an accident,” Lu Xu explained, shaking the rain off his umbrella and hanging it by the door.

”Accident?” Chen Ping’s interest was piqued by his words.

Chen Ping had been Lu Xu’s roommate for three years in high school. After they both got into the same university, Chen Ping even went directly to the Counselor to request to be in the same dormitory as Lu Xu to continue their friendship.

Precisely because of their many years of friendship, Chen Ping knew how rare the word ”accident” was for Lu Xu. Because Lu Xu had always been someone who liked to plan everything clearly and execute it meticulously. Chen Ping, on the other hand, was the exact opposite—spontaneous.

”Just ran into someone on the road who hitched a ride under my umbrella,” Lu Xu replied casually. He changed his clothes and sat down at his desk.

”Haha, you were targeted because you brought an umbrella! Even you have unexpected things happen.”

Lu Xu ignored him and flipped open the novel on his desk. Chen Ping had always been a talkative person; what he said in one day could probably top what Lu Xu said in a week.

That two such people became friends could only be attributed to the wonders of fate.

Lu Xu looked at the dense text in the book but felt that his attention wasn’t as focused as usual.

”What’s going on?”

Lu Xu frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose, but the image of the senior clinging to his arm just now involuntarily surfaced in his mind.

”???”

Lu Xu was startled by the image in his head.

Since when did he start having such stray thoughts?
