Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 808: Chapter 808: 808’s Attitude Toward Admirers

Ye Lanfeng took Han Yan directly to a restaurant called Guest House. The name was quite straightforward, but it was yet to be seen if the feeling inside matched the name.

As soon as they entered, the waiter energetically greeted them. His smile was appropriate, without a trace of sycophancy, making people feel quite comfortable.

”Would you two like to sit in the main hall or on the second floor in a private room?” the waiter asked enthusiastically.

”A private room by the window on the second floor,” Ye Lanfeng replied.

”Alright, this way, please,” the waiter said as he led Ye Lanfeng and Han Yan upstairs to the second floor.

As soon as they sat down in the private room, someone served tea, and the waiter asked Han Yan and Ye Lanfeng what they would like to eat. Ye Lanfeng said, ”One serving of fragrant chicken and some of the signature dishes...” He stopped after ordering seven or eight dishes.

”Alright, please take your time. Enjoy our restaurant’s green tea and snacks; the dishes will be served soon.” The waiter then turned to leave and added, ”If you need anything, just shout at the door; there’s always staff around.”

Han Yan nodded, and after the waiter left, he took out Angang and the little piglet from his pocket, letting them help themselves to the snacks on the table. Angang’s eyes lit up, holding a snack in his small paws and eating it with relish, while the little piglet took a couple of bites, yawned, and fell asleep, then woke up suddenly. After waking up, it continued to eat, repeating the cycle. Angang was overjoyed, knowing that normally he couldn’t outmatch the little piglet. If the piglet wanted to compete for snacks, he would definitely be no match. So now that the piglet was eating and then napping, it couldn’t be better for him—having no one to fight over snacks was pure bliss.

After a stick of incense.

Han Yan was eating happily, fully satisfied.

”The fragrant chicken here is truly delicious, and so is this braised beef,” Han Yan said, rubbing his belly with a satisfied squint.

”Let’s come back another day to try the other signature dishes,” Ye Lanfeng said, smiling as he watched Han Yan’s satisfied look, feeling a tickle in his heart and an urge to help rub her belly.

”Alright, let’s come again tomorrow,” Han Yan agreed.

After the meal, the two of them slowly strolled back to the Mu Family, walking off the meal they’d just enjoyed.

The next day, Han Yan and Ye Lanfeng went out to eat again. As for trying to seal the cultivation into the sword, Han Yan thought, how could she have the energy to do anything on an empty stomach? So she confidently went out to eat with Ye Lanfeng first and then planned to visit some attractions in the capital after eating.

The trio of henchmen gazed longingly at the backs of the two as they left, then turned around to go back to the courtyard to continue their cultivation.

Returning to the Guest House, Han Yan still ordered the fragrant chicken, and after Ye Lanfeng ordered other signature dishes, the two started chatting.

”Lan Feng, what kind of exotic beast is Angang?” Han Yan asked, looking curiously at Angang, who was eating happily. She had been wanting to ask this question for a long time.

”I don’t know either,” Ye Lanfeng’s answer surprised Han Yan.

”You don’t know?” Han Yan reached out and poked Angang’s round little belly. Angang accommodatingly puffed out his little belly, making it easier for Han Yan to poke, prompting a cold, warning glance from Ye Lanfeng.

”Hmm, I don’t know. His origin is a long story...” Just as Ye Lanfeng was about to recount Angang’s origin, there was a knock on the door.

”Come in,” Han Yan assumed it was the waiter bringing food and said casually.

Ye Lanfeng, however, frowned, a flicker of impatience flashing in his eyes.

The door opened, but it wasn’t the waiter Han Yan assumed. There stood a graceful woman, her luxurious garb clearly expensive, and her regal attire indicated she was of no low status. Two subservient-looking women stood behind her, seemingly her maids.

”Young Master Ye, I thought I saw your silhouette on the street just now, thought it might have been my imagination, but it turns out you’re really back in the capital. I hope I haven’t disturbed you two by coming up unannounced,” the elegantly dressed woman said, smiling at Ye Lanfeng.

Han Yan raised an eyebrow slightly, noting that while she said she hoped not to disturb them both, her gaze was locked on Ye Lanfeng, her eyes full of admiration, clearly visible to anyone.

Tut-tut, who would have thought she’d run into Ye Lanfeng’s admirer. Han Yan pouted, thinking how interesting it was to run into a rival in love while just trying to have a meal.

”Princess Jin Hua, this is my friend Han Yan. Han Yan, this is the current Princess Jin Hua.” With the bare minimum of courtesy for someone interrupting his date, Ye Lanfeng introduced them in a bland tone and then directly asked, ”Does Princess Jin Hua need something?” Clearly implying that if not, she should leave.

Princess Jin Hua? Han Yan was somewhat surprised; she hadn’t expected her romantic rival to be the cherished Princess Jin Hua. Should she feel a bit smug that the man she had her eyes on was indeed extraordinary?

”Greetings, Princess Jin Hua,” Han Yan stood and gave a slight bow. Even if the other was a rival, she was a princess, and Han Yan was just a son of a family, so of course, he had to show respect.

”No need for formalities, Young Master Mu,” Princess Jin Hua finally turned her gaze to Han Yan. Upon seeing Han Yan’s face, she was stunned. The person in front of her completely contradicted her image of a notorious playboy of the capital, who she imagined would be unattractively sharp-faced and unpleasant. Yet the person before her was so handsome, and the crimson beauty mark between his brows made him appear somewhat enchanting. Though ’enchanting’ might not be the right word for a man, that’s exactly how Princess Jin Hua felt about Han Yan at that moment.

”Does Princess Jin Hua have business?” Ye Lanfeng spoke again, this time with a noticeable impatience. Given Ye Lanfeng’s normally gracious demeanor, this was clearly quite impolite.

”I just saw you here and wanted to come up to greet you,” Princess Jin Hua bit her lip, feeling a bit wronged and said softly.

”You’ve greeted now,” Ye Lanfeng said bluntly, implying she should take her leave.

”Young Master Ye...” Tears almost welled up in Princess Jin Hua’s eyes. She had been pampered all her life and had never been treated like this. Though Ye Lanfeng never paid her much mind before, he was never this impolite. Now, before others, treating her almost insulting and before a playboy, no less.

Han Yan turned to look at a flower pot on the windowsill. She wasn’t about to be a saint and help a romantic rival or give them an easy way out. Her brain wasn’t waterlogged. She had to admit, Ye Lanfeng’s behavior was precisely to her liking.
