Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 806: Chapter 806: Does This Count as Flirting?

”Yes, Young Master Ye has already returned to the Capital.” The one reporting to Princess Jin Hua was one of her personal guards. Originally, he was off duty today, and seeing the auction at Nanyan Commerce, he went to join in the excitement. Who knew that he would actually see the person Princess Jin Hua was so keen on there? Therefore, he didn’t even bother with what happened afterward and hurriedly went to the palace to report. Although he didn’t know Ye Lanfeng’s identity, he did know that Princess Jin Hua was deeply infatuated with this person. Reporting to Princess Jin Hua, he could certainly make her happy and ensure some benefits for himself.

”He’s back, he’s already back.” Princess Jin Hua stood up joyfully, murmuring to herself, ”Why didn’t he tell me when he came back?” Of course, she just said this self-indulgently, understanding well that even if Ye Lanfeng came to the Capital, he would not tell her. He had no obligation nor any affection to do so.

The guard naturally knew that Princess Jin Hua was merely talking to herself and required no reply, so he didn’t say a word.

”Where is Young Master Ye now?” Princess Jin Hua snapped back to reality, anxiously asking. She had people monitoring the post house daily, and Ye Lanfeng had not been there.

”He’s with someone named Han Yan. The two of them seem quite close.” The guard thought for a moment, carefully answering. Han Yan’s notorious reputation as a playboy had spread throughout the Capital. Princess Jin Hua’s heartthrob being with someone like that seemed not great. So the guard didn’t overly emphasize Han Yan’s infamy.

”Han Yan? What kind of person is this? A man or a woman?” Princess Jin Hua frowned slightly, pondering, ”This name sounds somewhat familiar.”

”Reporting to the Princess, Han Yan is a playboy who was recently recalled from Heishi City by the Mu Family, whose reputation is not good. The things done in the Capital afterwards really make people...” the maid behind her explained thoughtfully.

Before finishing, Princess Jin Hua waved her hand to stop her, as she remembered. This Han Yan, the number one playboy of Heishi City, is now gradually becoming the number one in the Capital.

Why would Young Master Ye be with someone like that?

”Did you say, Young Master Ye seems quite close with the playboy?” Princess Jin Hua’s face turned cold, asking suspiciously.

”Yes. The situation is...” The guard explained everything that happened previously.

After finishing, Princess Jin Hua’s expression was dark, her voice shrill as she exclaimed, ”What did you say? Others mistook Young Master Ye for that playboy’s servant? That playboy actually treated Young Master Ye like a servant to do things for him?”

The guard’s forehead broke out in cold sweat but nodded truthfully: ”Yes.”

”How could Young Master Ye be with someone like that?” Princess Jin Hua bit her lips, anger rising inside, ”That playboy must have deceived Young Master Ye. Never mind, you can go now, and collect your reward.” Princess Jin Hua waved her hand to dismiss the guard, then sat aside with a cold face. In Princess Jin Hua’s view, Ye Lanfeng and Han Yan were as different as clouds and mud, and for someone as celestial as Ye Lanfeng to be mistaken for that playboy’s servant, how could she endure it?

The personal maid Qiuyue dared not speak, just quietly stood behind Princess Jin Hua. Ever since the other maid Fuping was reprimanded by Princess Jin Hua last time, Qiuyue has been very cautious, not daring to echo Princess Jin Hua easily.

”Qiuyue, have someone find out clearly what Young Master Ye has been doing recently and where he stays at night.” Princess Jin Hua ordered Qiuyue, frowning.

”Yes, Princess.” Qiuyue complied and immediately went to handle the task.

Princess Jin Hua sat alone in the hall, staring blankly at the big tree outside, filled only with thoughts of that person. Despite the uncomfortable situation last time when Jin Yuguang wore the gift she sent to Ye Lanfeng, she still didn’t intend to give up. Holding a fantasy in her heart, perhaps, perhaps it wasn’t Young Master Ye who instructed Jin Yuguang to do so? He hadn’t explicitly rejected her, had he? Maybe, with sincere effort, Young Master Ye might be moved someday?

...

”Achoo!” At this moment, Ye Lanfeng suddenly sneezed, startling Zirong and the others, who widened their eyes and stared at him.

”What are you looking at?” Ye Lanfeng coldly glanced at them. Just sneezing, did it require such expressions like the sky was falling?

”N-nothing.” Zirong and the others quickly shook their heads. Why did they feel horrified when Ye Lanfeng sneezed? Everyone looked up at the sky because, in their hearts, Ye Lanfeng had been deified. Had anyone seen a god sneeze? Their feelings at this moment were precisely those of witnessing a god sneeze. Very complex, very shocking, oh, it turns out gods also sneeze.

”Someone must be thinking about you, whether it’s good or bad is unknown.” Han Yan chimed in, Ye Lanfeng being so strong, of course he couldn’t catch a cold. So she concluded there must be someone talking about Ye Lanfeng behind his back.

”Whether it’s good or bad, why not just ask you?” Ye Lanfeng winked at Han Yan and smiled.

Han Yan paused, feeling her face starting to heat up. Was this considered flirting?

Zirong and the others exchanged glances, their feelings complex. Zirong suddenly missed his fiancée, Yan Yuchu began to miss his little tigress, while Huayue was wondering whether he should find himself a fiancée too? These people didn’t know the term eating dog food, if they did, they would understand how to describe their current feelings.

If Jin Yuguang was present at this time, he would surely be furiously complaining in his heart, ”Adults, when you asked me how to woo the girl you like, you really weren’t kidding me, were you?”

The auction at Nanyan Commerce was successfully concluded, and Han Yan got the sword and ordered it directly sent back to the Mu Family, preparing to leave. Before leaving, Han Yan specifically arranged the matter of Fang Village, instructing Che Xiang to send someone to take over Fang Family’s Workshop, and at the same time ask him to keep an eye out for the Purple Heart Ganlu Grass —she promised Mu Zexian and others, and couldn’t break her word.

Then, she handed the land deed to Che Xiang, letting him handle it as he saw fit.

Accepting the land deed, Che Xiang couldn’t help but sigh again. Today’s auction seemed lively, but most of the lots didn’t bring in much profit; the greatest gains were really just two items, one being Heavenly Blue Sand, the other being this land deed before him. All earned by Han Yan alone. Che Xiang had good reason to be Han Yan’s fervent fan.

Upon exiting the VIP room, Mu Zexian and others resting outside immediately swarmed over, enthusiastically talking about the previous events, their eyes full of intense admiration.

”Brother Han Yan, the moves you played just now were absolutely brilliant; that idiot Mo Yanhong might wake up crying even while asleep, hahaha.” Mu Zexian couldn’t help but laugh heartily recalling what just happened.

”He’s always been shaming us; now he knows what’s what, doesn’t he?” Mu Zeran laughed so hard his eyes turned into crescents.
