Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: A Strange, Devilish Man

”Tch...” He sneered before shoving her into the hot spring pool.

”Looks like you could use a little sobering up.”

Nora Ainsworth choked on a mouthful of water, her soaking hair plastered to her shoulders. She gasped for air, swam to the edge of the pool, and, without a word, grabbed his legs and pulled him in with her.

SPLASH! Quentin Grant was drenched to the bone.

”You damn woman! If I don’t teach you a lesson, you’ll never learn who you’re messing with!” Furious, he grabbed her head and shoved it underwater.

She flailed and thrashed, but after choking on too much water, her struggles gradually weakened.

He let go, and her body slowly began to sink.

Quentin Grant yanked her back to the surface.

She was choking so hard that tears streamed down her face. Her nose and mouth were full of water, and she’d swallowed a bellyful of it too.

Her eyes were bloodshot. ”Do you have any idea you almost drowned me?!”

His inherent arrogance was on full display. ”You’re the one I was trying to drown.”

Nora Ainsworth swept the soaking wet hair from her face, her eyes blazing with fury.

”So, how would you like a taste of your own medicine?”

Quentin Grant was the picture of arrogance. ”You think you have what it takes?”

Nora Ainsworth pressed her lips into a thin line, dove under the water, and shot toward him. With a powerful thrust, she knocked him off balance and back into the pool. Then, she used all her strength to hold him down, refusing to let him surface.

Quentin Grant couldn’t break free, and fury burned in his chest.

’To think that he, the Sect Leader of the Grant Group, was being manhandled so pathetically by a mere girl.’

In a moment of desperate ingenuity, he grabbed her skirt with both hands and yanked it down.

Nora Ainsworth felt the garment slide off her body.

She let go instinctively.

Still shaken, she didn’t even think about the skirt and scrambled out of the pool.

When Quentin Grant finally surfaced, he had nearly run out of air himself.

He watched the woman flee in disarray and gritted his teeth. ’You can run, but you can’t hide!’

’Just you wait!’

As soon as Nora Ainsworth ran out, she saw a portly, middle-aged man with a large beer belly. His back was to her as he spoke anxiously on the phone. ”Auntie, why is no one here? Didn’t you say you got Nora Ainsworth drunk and put her in room 188? I don’t see anyone.”

Nora Ainsworth glanced at the door she had just exited and suddenly understood. She had gone into the wrong room.

She truly didn’t know if this made her lucky or unlucky.

Her future mother-in-law had summoned her to a KTV room on the second floor, promising that her fiancé, Leon Lynch, would be there. But after waiting for a long time with the woman, Leon never arrived. Instead, her future mother-in-law had plied her with drink after drink until she was completely drunk.

After that, the woman had helped her upstairs.

And then...

She had left the room, but the elevator was broken. She went back to the room, and there was that strange, devilishly handsome man...

...which led to the awful confrontation that had just occurred.

She looked back, deliberately checking the number of the room she had mistakenly entered: 189.

’If word of this got out, the consequences would be unthinkable.’

’Please, let me never run into that man again!’

Unfortunately, just as she left the hotel, she ran right into her fiancé.

He was the kind of man who seemed to carry his own spotlight, a magnetic figure who drew all eyes wherever he went.

”Nora Ainsworth. Tsk, tsk. Did you just come from a bikini contest?”
