Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

The New Year holiday was filled with the usual visits to friends and family, but that’s neither here nor there.

They stayed in their hometown until the eighth day of the first lunar month.

Just like the migrant workers heading back after the holiday, Qi Sheng prepared to set off as well.

The difference was that they had to shoulder their luggage.

To continue toiling away for a meager income.

Qi Sheng, on the other hand, was taking his girlfriend straight to the airport in Qi City.

The private jet they had arrived on was already waiting for them.

For Qi Sheng, who was now earning 57.2 million a month.

Spending a fraction of that to charter a plane was nothing.

”Mr. Qi, Mrs. Qi, it’s a pleasure to see you both again. I’m the chief flight attendant for this trip. If you need anything at all during the flight, please don’t hesitate to let us know.”

The chief flight attendant, Qin Qingyi, and her two colleagues naturally had an exceptionally deep impression of a top-tier, handsome, and wealthy man like Qi Sheng.

They never expected him to be so extravagant.

He even chartered a private jet for the return trip from his hometown.

A round trip cost 600,000.

Compared to the many bags they had when they arrived,

they were traveling light on the way back.

”Mr. Qi, the flight from Qi City to Chongqing is estimated to take five hours. We’re about to take off, so please make sure you and Mrs. Qi have fastened your seatbelts.”

The chief flight attendant didn’t dare to step forward and help them with their seatbelts, mainly for fear of upsetting this ”Mrs. Qi.”

If Qi Sheng had been alone, she wouldn’t have just helped with his seatbelt.

She wouldn’t have refused even if he’d asked her to unbuckle his trousers.

”Understood.”

Qi Sheng nodded. He was quite satisfied with this mode of travel.

’With the size of our family, buying business class tickets for everyone would still cost a fortune.’

’Having a private jet would certainly make things much more convenient.’

”Chief Attendant Qin, how much would it cost to buy this Gulfstream G450?”

”A new one, delivered in-country with taxes included, would be around 280 million.”

”But if you consider a well-maintained used aircraft, you could probably get one for around a hundred million.”

”But even if you bought it and never used it, the fixed management fees alone would be six to seven million a year.”

”And if you fly frequently, once you add in fuel, ground services, and other costs, the annual upkeep is about 10% of the purchase price of a new plane.”

Qin Qingyi was a little surprised but answered truthfully nonetheless.

”Only a hundred million?”

Qi Sheng was surprised. He hadn’t expected a used plane to be so cheap.

’Based on the salary Lord Tong gives me, that’s just two months’ worth.’

’As for the upkeep, that’s even less of a big deal.’

”Er...”

Qin Qingyi was a bit dumbfounded but patiently tried to reason with him.

”Mr. Qi, while I would be honored to work for you, I still suggest you don’t purchase a private jet lightly. The annual maintenance costs are a significant burden.”

”Alright, I understand.”

Qi Sheng didn’t make any grand declarations right then and there.

’If I really do buy a private jet, I could give Qin Qingyi an opportunity to interview.’

After a five-hour flight,

the plane landed smoothly at Jiangbei International Airport.

”Mr. Qi, Mrs. Qi, thank you for choosing Aifeijia. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve you both again.”

Qin Qingyi watched Qi Sheng and Tan Hua leave the tarmac, feeling a small pang of regret.

Faced with a young, rich heir like Qi Sheng,

what flight attendant wouldn’t want to use her looks to win his favor?

Unfortunately, Tan Hua was guarding him like a hawk, watching him too closely.

She didn’t even get a chance to slip him her number.

”Sister Qingyi, you’re so beautiful. That Young Master Qi will definitely contact you again.”

The other two flight attendants could see that Qi Sheng appreciated Qin Qingyi.

He probably didn’t exchange contact info with Qin Qingyi because his girlfriend was right there.

”Whatever’s meant to be, will be.”

Qin Qingyi, however, was philosophical about it.

A rich young master like him wasn’t someone just anyone could snag.

...

「Airport Arrivals Gate.」

Gu Feng and Gu Hai, their New Year holiday over, had been waiting there for a long time.

”Boss, Ma’am.”

When they saw Qi Sheng and Tan Hua emerge, the two men hurried forward to take their suitcases.

”Looks like you two had a good holiday.”

Qi Sheng joked with a smile, noticing that they had both put on some weight.

”Heh heh...”

They both scratched their heads and gave an embarrassed chuckle.

When they reached the VIP parking lot, a crowd had gathered around Qi Sheng’s Cullinan.

”The owner’s here.”

Seeing the two bodyguards in black suits carrying the luggage while Qi Sheng walked toward them with his arm around Tan Hua,

the gawking crowd instantly took a few steps back.

After Qi Sheng and Tan Hua got into the car,

Gu Feng and Gu Hai took their seats as well.

The Cullinan sped off.

Only then did the crowd of onlookers dare to start talking.

”A gorgeous beauty and a super-rich young master... a goddamn perfect match!”

”Alright, show’s over. We broke folks can only watch. Time to get back to making money, at least enough to afford a ’massage therapist’ whenever we want.”

”The one time I fall for someone, and I’m instantly heartbroken. Why are all the beautiful women such gold diggers? Can’t they see my sincere heart?”

”How much is your ’sincere heart’ worth? That rich kid could casually gift her a handbag that costs more than your entire year’s salary.”

...

Arriving downstairs at Tan Hua’s apartment building, Gu Feng carried their suitcases.

Gu Hai, meanwhile, carried the gifts that had been prepared in advance.

There were bottles of aged Maotai and fine cigarettes that cost over ten thousand yuan a carton.

As well as some La Prairie and Valmont skincare products.

Tan Hua felt a little embarrassed when she saw all the gifts.

”My goodness, this must all be worth several hundred thousand, right?”

”All together, it’s about a million.”

”What?”

Tan Hua was instantly stunned. ”A million?”

”It’s mainly those few bottles of Maotai that are expensive. The cigarettes and cosmetics are fine, only a few tens of thousands for a set.”

Qi Sheng wrapped his arm around Tan Hua’s slender waist and said with a chuckle, ”You brought gifts worth over a hundred thousand when you visited my family. This is my first time formally visiting as a son-in-law, so I have to buy a little extra to make a good impression.”
