**

How old was Wei Yang?

Ignoring his youthful appearance, based on the intelligence the Xiao Clan had gathered, he was not even eighteen!

Not even eighteen, yet already a Tier 2 Alchemist?

Oh, and he had a friend who was also a Tier 2 Alchemist!

That was terrifying!

Xiao Zhan’s lips twitched as he took a deep, icy breath.

Now this was what one would call a true genius!

Even if Yan’er’s talent was still intact, he might not be able to match up to him.

Xiao Zhan marveled inwardly.

Looking at the deathly silent hall, still stunned from the revelation, Wei Yang lightly cleared his throat, snapping everyone out of their shock.

”Uh...” Xiao Zhan’s face turned slightly red as he let out an awkward chuckle. When he looked at Wei Yang again, his gaze carried even more reverence. ”Physician Wei... no, Alchemist Wei... Mr. Wei.”

”Let’s talk about the profit-sharing. I still have some matters to attend to later,” Wei Yang reminded.

”Oh, of course.” Xiao Zhan nodded, pondering for a moment before hesitantly suggesting, ”How about this? Our Xiao Clan will handle the sales of these pills, and we’ll ensure they are sold at the best possible price. In terms of profit, you, Mr. Wei, will take ninety percent, and we will take the remaining ten percent... Heh, though it’s a bit shameless of us, we do need manpower and resources to operate the sales channels. What do you think of this split?”

After speaking, Xiao Zhan nervously looked at Wei Yang, afraid that his proposal would displease the other party.

After all, the pills were already prepared, and they were all top-grade.

The Xiao Clan had contributed nothing.

Selling them?

That was as easy as breathing!

”Heh.” Wei Yang chuckled lightly and waved his hand indifferently.

However, Xiao Zhan’s face changed upon seeing this.

As expected, the other party wasn’t satisfied.

The Xiao Clan members in the hall grew anxious.

The three Elders kept signaling frantically at Xiao Zhan.

Seeing this, Xiao Zhan gritted his teeth, preparing to lower the Xiao Clan’s share to five percent. No matter what, they absolutely could not let Wei Yang slip away today.

Wei Yang, seeing their reactions, immediately realized they had misunderstood. He calmly said, ”Patriach Xiao, I think you’re mistaken. Although these pills were refined by me and my friend, selling them is not exactly an effortless task for your clan either. How could I take advantage of you like that?”

”How about this? We might have a long-term cooperation in the future, and I will also need your Xiao Clan’s help with some matters. Let’s go with an eighty-twenty split instead?”

Hearing Wei Yang’s words, the three Elders and the Xiao Clan members, who had been anxious just moments ago, were suddenly stunned.

Their faces were filled with disbelief.

Did fortune really just fall from the sky?!

An eighty-twenty profit split, and it was a long-term cooperation?

The Xiao Clan members exchanged glances, their faces full of astonishment.

Meanwhile, the way Xiao Yan looked at Wei Yang became even friendlier.

This friend, I, Xiao Yan, will definitely make!

Xiao Zhan was also momentarily stunned before finally coming back to his senses. He exhaled deeply and cautiously asked, ”Mr. Wei, did you just say an eighty-twenty split? You take eighty, and we take twenty?”

”Yes, that’s right. You get twenty, and I get eighty,” Wei Yang nodded affirmatively.

After confirming that he had heard correctly, Xiao Zhan could only sigh in amazement and gratitude. ”This... Mr. Wei, your generosity truly makes the Xiao Clan feel both honored and ashamed!”

”If Mr. Wei wishes to cooperate with our Xiao Clan for the long term, how about we stick to a ninety-ten split instead?”

Casually waving his hand, Wei Yang smiled faintly. ”That bit of extra profit doesn’t mean much to me. Twenty percent, and that’s final.”

Hearing this, Xiao Zhan could only let out a bitter chuckle and nod in agreement.

This Mr. Wei was truly... willful!

Xiao Zhan had never been chased down like this just to be given money.

Perhaps... it was all for Yan’er’s sake.

Thinking of this, Xiao Zhan couldn’t help but glance at Xiao Yan, who was sitting in the corner.

Likewise, the others in the hall also came to the same realization. Their gazes turned toward Xiao Yan, and a hint of envy flickered in their eyes.

Gaining the friendship of a Tier 2 Alchemist was no easy feat.

”Mr. Wei, you mentioned earlier that you needed our Xiao Clan’s help with something. May I ask what it is? As long as it is within our power, we will not refuse,” Xiao Zhan said solemnly.

”Oh, it’s like this—I’m usually quite busy and don’t like dealing with trivial matters,” Wei Yang explained. ”So, I’d like to ask your clan to help me acquire some medicinal herbs and magic cores.”

”So that’s what it is. I understand,” Xiao Zhan immediately sighed in relief.

The rest of the Xiao Clan members felt the same way.

They had thought it was some major request, but it turned out to be just this.

For the Xiao Clan, this was undoubtedly good news. Of course, they wouldn’t refuse—on the contrary, they would fight to get it done.

After all, being able to assist a Tier 2 Alchemist and establish a friendship with him was something that even a fool wouldn’t reject.

Thus, Xiao Zhan nodded solemnly in agreement. ”Mr. Wei, rest assured. You can leave this matter to our Xiao Clan.”

”The herbs should be of Tier 3 or Tier 4, whether they are common auxiliary herbs or rare ones,” Wei Yang said while flipping his hand to take out a gold card.

The number displayed on it was 200,000, the one he had obtained from Gu Te. He handed it to Xiao Zhan and continued, ”As for magic cores, Rank 2 or Rank 3 will do. Of course, if there are Rank 4 ones, I’ll take those as well—no restrictions on attributes.”

Xiao Zhan took the gold card, and upon seeing the number on it, he felt a little shaken. But what shocked him even more was Wei Yang’s request.

A single payment of over 160 top-quality pills.

A 200,000 gold card.

Tier 3 and Tier 4medicinal herbs?Rank 2, Rank 3, and even Rank 4 magic cores?!

The amount of information was overwhelming. Could it be...?

Xiao Zhan didn’t dare to think any further.

”Mr. Wei,” Xiao Zhan said cautiously, ”Tier 2 and Tier 3 herbs and magic cores are easy to find, but Tier 4 herbs and Rank 4 magic cores... You know, those are not easy to acquire.”

”It’s fine. Just collect them slowly,” Wei Yang said nonchalantly. ”Gather as much as you can. If you can’t find them, it’s no big deal.”

Hearing this, Xiao Zhan and the rest of the Xiao Clan secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as it wasn’t a strict requirement, it was fine. They didn’t want this Mr. Wei to become dissatisfied with their abilities.

After all, what their Xiao Clan could do, the other two major families could also do.

Fortunately, this Mr. Wei seemed to be a reasonable person.

”Then it’s settled. You can sell these pills however you like—I don’t care about the price. Just use my share of the money to help me acquire the herbs and magic cores I need.”

Wei Yang stood up and smiled. ”I still have things to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now. I’ll return in three months.”

Xiao Zhan and the three elders immediately tried to persuade him to stay.

Xiao Zhan said, ”Mr. Wei, leaving so soon? I’ve already ordered preparations for a banquet. Why not stay and enjoy a meal before leaving?”

”Yes, yes,” the three elders chimed in.

”There’s no need for that,” Wei Yang waved his hand. ”I still have other matters to attend to, so I won’t stay any longer. No need to see me off.”

After saying that, under everyone’s gaze, he walked straight toward the exit of the hall.

The Xiao Clan members could only stand in place with slight regret.

Just as he reached the entrance, Wei Yang suddenly paused. His gaze fell upon Xiao Yan, who had also stood up to see him off with Gu Xun’er, his eyes carrying a hint of gratitude.

Wei Yang smiled and said, ”Brother Xiao Yan, may I call you that?”

”Of course,” Xiao Yan nodded seriously.

”Brother Xiao Yan, I’ve heard about your situation,” Wei Yang extended a fair and slender hand. ”If you don’t mind, may I take a look?”

”Ah?” Xiao Yan was taken aback.

”Yan’er, hurry up, don’t just stand there!” Seeing this, Xiao Zhan was overjoyed and quickly stepped forward to remind him, ”Mr. Wei is an Alchemist. Perhaps he can figure out your condition!”
