Chapter 705: Disturbance at the Electronic Factory

In the afternoon, Zhang Xixi headed alone to the Tianyu Technology software development factory with the official approval personally signed by Nangong Bing.

This factory, too, had been established in the Zhonghai Industrial Zone ever since Nangong Bing took charge.

Indeed, it boasted a unique style compared to the surrounding large enterprises.

A white Beijing Hyundai Mingtu was parked at the factory’s main entrance.

The workers bustling to and from their shifts didn’t spare more than a glance at the white car.

Even Zhang Xixi’s low-key approach puzzled the factory director who was to receive her that day.

A person of managerial rank should at least drive a small Mercedes or something similar, right?

”Director Zhang, welcome to your visit,” the factory director greeted her.

The factory director was an older middle-aged man dressed in a black, traditional suit. He wasn’t particularly tall, but his keen eyes sparkled with intelligence.

All around him stood dozens of leaders from the factory, both big and small.

”Hello, Director Liu,” Zhang Xixi replied with light makeup on her elegant and fair face, hidden behind a pair of large black sunglasses.

Every smile and frown she made caused the younger factory leaders behind Liu to feel a certain itchiness.

Especially Zhang Xixi’s own temperament and her impressive figure made Director Liu lick his lips, his chubby face trying hard to squeeze out a feigned smile as he said, ”Having Director Zhang personally grace us is truly an honor to someone as humble as myself!”

”Director Liu, you’re being humorous. I’m here on behalf of the president, and I hope you can cooperate with my work,” Zhang Xixi said with a smile.

”Look at what you’re saying, Director Zhang. If the president entrusts someone to us, how could I, surnamed Liu, dare to neglect her? Come, Director Zhang, since it’s your first visit and you must be exhausted from the drive, please, inside, inside,” urged Director Liu, very courteously.

Zhang Xixi was indeed glad to receive such a polite reception.

When she first came, what she feared most was that Director Liu would not cooperate with her.

Now, at their first meeting, she had a very good impression.

It was just a pity that a certain someone wasn’t accompanying her, which caused a bit of disappointment in Zhang Xixi’s heart.

The factory director’s presence caused quite a stir throughout the factory.

The time was exactly at the peak of the day and evening shift change.

Tianyu Technology, plainly speaking, was what we often refer to as an electronics factory.

Zhang Xixi estimated that the factory covered a very broad area. As she walked along, she was surrounded by handsome young men and pretty young women.

The atmosphere was youthful.

Laughter and looks from all around occasionally reached her ears.

This made Zhang Xixi feel the ambiance of a campus once again.

”Director Liu, is the recruitment in your factory handled according to standard procedures?” Zhang Xixi asked.

”Yes, all recruiting requirements are operated in line with Empire regulations,” Director Liu chuckled in response.

”Hmm, Director Liu, let’s head to the workshops first. Later, could you please cooperate with my work and provide me with the accounts and expenditure bills for the past year to review?”

”Rest assured, no problem. Seeing Director Zhang so diligent in her work, I, Liu, will surely do my utmost to cooperate with your procedures. Oh, by the way, Director Zhang, it’s almost lunchtime. I’ve prepared a welcome meal for you, and I hope you won’t decline, as a courtesy to myself?” Director Liu said with a sincere and smiley demeanor.

At least, that’s what Zhang Xixi believed.

”No, thank you. Director Liu, I just got here today and there are a lot of things I’m still not quite familiar with. I hope you can take some trouble to help me out in the next few days, for which I would be extremely grateful,”

”Director Zhang, you’re really being too modest. You are personally recommended by President Nangong, and your fame precedes you throughout the Tianyu Group. We’ve known of your reputation for a long time. How could we dare neglect you when you’ve made the effort to visit us? Furthermore, we hope that in the future, you could put in a good word for us with the president.”

”Director Liu, you must be joking. I’m just handling the finances, not as impressive as you make it sound,”

Zhang Xixi chuckled, unable to deny that Director Liu had a real talent for flattering people.

Seeing Zhang Xixi’s cheeks flush, a surge of secret delight bloomed in Director Liu’s heart.

He knew she must have been caught by his words.

A deep excitement flickered through his gaze.

He smiled and said, ”Director Zhang, since you’ve come all this way, I, Liu, must at least offer you a welcome meal. Don’t be so formal with me. If there’s anything, we can talk openly and freely tomorrow.”

”No, thank you for your kindness. I am indeed a bit tired today, and I would just trouble you, Director Liu, to take me on a tour tonight. There’s really no need for any unnecessary expense.”

”Er, haha, if that’s what Director Zhang says, then I, old Liu, won’t insist.”

”I appreciate it, Director Liu.”

”What’s there to appreciate? Really, it’s no trouble at all. I haven’t even begun to show my pleasure that Director Zhang is here,” said Director Liu, laughing heartily.

Under the gaze of thousands of factory workers, Director Liu began to show Zhang Xixi around the factory.

Immediately, Zhang Xixi’s arrival caused quite a stir throughout the factory.

Meanwhile, Lin Zifeng received a message from the Old Master indicating that Zhang Xixi had already made her way to the industrial park.

This guy wasn’t in a rush, catching a taxi without any pomp and circumstance.

In Zhonghai, the strong sun at the end of September could still scorch a person to death.

Just stepping out of the taxi, Lin Zifeng, squinting under the glaring sun, was surprised to find no one at the factory entrance to receive him.

Damn, isn’t this treatment a little too shabby?

Lin Zifeng’s appearance hardly made a splash at the factory.

At the busy factory entrance, which was at the peak of shift change, there were plenty of attractive men and women.

However, not many girls took notice of Lin Zifeng.

As everyone knows, an electronics factory is a gathering place for young boys and girls. Without a soft, pleasing face, it really is tough to blend in here!

”What do you want?” shouted the two security guards.

Dressed in a plain black shirt and a pair of slightly faded jeans, the man’s posture was rigidly upright, exuding an extremely sunny disposition. It’s just too bad one couldn’t discern any background—have you ever seen someone with a background wearing just a simple pair of jeans?

The man grinned and said, ”I’m looking for your factory director.”

”What? You’re looking for our factory director?”

The security guard’s expression changed, tinged with a hint of mocking malice.

”Do you have an access card?”

At this moment, two other men in black security uniforms approached, scrutinizing him closely.

Given his attire, he didn’t seem to be an employee of Tianyu Technology, which naturally aroused some suspicion.
