After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1154: Chapter 1158: Limit Down

Shorting at this time is no different from throwing money away, but since the client requests it, Zhuge Wenzhe naturally cannot oppose.

This was not the first or second time he interacted with Leng Zimo. From his expression, Zhuge Wenzhe could easily guess that there must be some hidden agenda.

The partnership between Emperor View and the Seo Family for the Universal Studios project was well-known. At this time, his actions were obviously targeting the Seo Family. It seemed that the head of Emperor View was not on good terms with the partner company.

Of course, these matters were not something Zhuge Wenzhe had to worry about. He simply followed Leng Zimo’s request and immediately ordered his subordinates to short all the positions they had just established.

”Five million is your commission, transfer the rest back to EM’s account.” Leng Zimo lightly tapped the keys on the laptop in front of him with his slender left fingers. ”In your estimation, how much will the Seo Family fall this time?!”

”Recently, due to some news issues, the Seo Family has been significantly affected.” Zhuge Wenzhe cautiously glanced at Leng Zimo, as he was also involved in the situation. Zhuge Wenzhe was extremely mindful of his choice of words. ”Your sudden withdrawal of funds will be a heavy blow to the Seo Family; conservatively estimated, it will fall at least 2 percentage points from the opening value.”

Leng Zimo’s injection of two hundred million into the investment was like a shot of adrenaline for the Seo Family’s stocks. If it continued at a slow pace, it should have guided the stock positively within a few days, but his withdrawal after just two hours was like giving a piece of meat only to hit with a stick, severely impacting retail investors’ confidence in the Seo Family.

Leng Zimo glanced at his watch on his left wrist and nodded towards a few staff members from the finance department.

”You can go off work.” The staff members left one after another, but Leng Zimo’s gaze remained calm on the screen as he slowly uttered two words from his lips, ”Limit down!”

Limit down?!

Zhuge Wenzhe watched Leng Zimo’s expressionless handsome face, clearly seeing the coldness flashing in those deep, night-like eyes. Zhuge Wenzhe cautiously remained silent.

As expected, just as Leng Zimo anticipated, with the withdrawal of several positions Zhuge Wenzhe established for him, the Seo Family’s stocks quickly turned from red to green. Compared to the Seo Family’s hundred-billion financing, Leng Zimo’s one or two billion was enough to act as leverage. His withdrawal was like pushing over the first piece of Dominoes, instantly collapsing the already shaky confidence that shareholders had in the Seo Family.

The Seo Family’s stocks plummeted like a roller coaster going downhill, halting only when they hit rock bottom.

Leng Zimo stood up from his chair, ”You can leave work too!”

Zhuge Wenzhe slightly lifted his lips, ”President Leng’s strategies are indeed ingenious; Wenzhe feels inadequate in comparison. I’ll leave you to your work. I hope we can collaborate again in the future.”

Leng Zimo returned a smile, ”Certainly!”

Putting away the computer on the desk, Leng Zimo stood up, stretching his back and waist, which were evidently sore from sitting all day.

His gaze swept across the phone on the desk, he picked it up, shut it down, and slipped it into his pocket before leaving the meeting room.

Taking the elevator downstairs to the parking lot, he tossed the laptop bag onto the passenger seat, started the car with a smile, and drove out of the parking lot without heading back to the lakeside villa. Instead, he drove directly to World City.
