Everyone in the Group is a Main Character, Except Me Who's the Villain

193: Chapter 193 Everyone Goes Home, Everyone Finds Their Own MotherThe battle ended very quickly. From the moment Fang Ming’s porsche entered the scene to when he reached the white car, less than three minutes had passed.

There were twelve gunmen including the driver in total. After Fang Ming’s strafing, three died on the spot, three were seriously injured and lost their fighting capacity, and one with minor injuries remained in the back seat of the white car because he couldn’t escape after the driver died.

The massive firepower gap between a handgun and an assault rifle made him lose any desire to resist.

Hearing Fang Ming’s angry shout, the lightly injured gunman hurriedly opened the rear door and raised his blood-stained hands.

”Brother, brother, don’t... don’t shoot!”

”Who was the one who shot at me just now?” Fang Ming pointed the AK at his head and asked in a cold voice.

He was driving normally on the road, yet not only did they block the path, they freaking shot at people? Where was the logic in that?

”It... it was him!!”

Hearing Fang Ming’s words, the gunman pointed at the first man Fang Ming had killed, wanting to cry but having no tears.

At this moment, he could never have imagined that just because they didn’t want the car behind to disturb them while completing their mission and casually fired a shot at it, they would end up provoking a god of slaughter.

”Uh...” Fang Ming was slightly taken tonight upon seeing this. ”Heh, meeting me is just your bad luck.”

He hadn’t expected that his very first bullet had already avenged him; it was quite a surprise.

However, he didn’t have time to dwell on it. He knocked the gunman unconscious with the butt of his rifle, quickly checked the surroundings to ensure there were no other threats, and then, using the white car as cover, stored the AK into his Storage Ring before approaching the rolls-royce.

Inside the car!

Nangong Ling’s two Bodyguards also had guns, but the hands gripping them were drenched in sweat.

”Hey, guys!!”

Knock, knock, knock!

Fang Ming tapped on the driver’s side window, but the Bodyguard didn’t dare open it at all, even preparing for a desperate struggle.

Although Fang Ming had just saved them, from their perspective, he was a man wielding an AK-47.

Using such a weapon within the borders of Grand Xia? He was either a soldier or a hardened criminal.

Did Fang Ming look like a soldier? Clearly not. What kind of soldier would keep an AK in a private car? And kill so casually?

Therefore, this guy had to be a hardened criminal; they just didn’t know why he had stepped in to help them.

”Let’s hear what he has to say.”

Nangong Ling’s voice rang out just in time.

The Bodyguard was still worried. ”But Madam...”

”I don’t think he has any ill intent.” Nangong Ling forced herself to remain calm and interrupted the Bodyguard.

If the other party really meant them harm, he wouldn’t be knocking on the window; he would be breaking it.

”Yes... yes!!”

Hearing this, the Bodyguard driver felt it made sense. After hesitating for two seconds, he nodded and rolled down the window just a crack. ”Brother, thank you for just now.”

”You’re welcome. Is anyone injured?” Fang Ming peered through the crack at the driver and asked casually.

The Bodyguard subconsciously shook his head. ”No... no!”

”No one?” Seeing that while the driver looked disheveled, he had no gunshot wounds, Fang Ming couldn’t help but feel surprised.

Those guys were all armed, and he had personally seen the gunmen throw a bomb under the chassis of the rolls-royce. The explosion had been so loud, yet they were fine?

It seemed this car wasn’t just bulletproof in its body and glass, but the chassis was as well. The people inside were no ordinary wealthy folk.

”That’s good then. I’ll leave the rest to you. I’m heading out.” Since they said they were fine, he didn’t care to ask more. After saying this, he walked straight back to his porsche.

Although so many people had died this time and the police would definitely investigate to the end, there were no surveillance cameras nearby.

Even if the police knew these people died from an AK-47 and knew his porsche had been here, as long as he adamantly denied it, they couldn’t do anything to him.

You say I used an AK? Then go ahead and find the AK. Coupled with the background support of the War God Ye Tian, Fang Ming wasn’t panicked at all.

He sat in the driver’s seat, started the porsche, and drove away, calling Ye Nuannuan on the way.

She picked up instantly.

”Hello, Brother Fang Ming, are you okay?”

”I’m fine. Are you guys still where you were? I’m coming to find you...”

...

”Madam, that person just now...”

Watching the silhouette of Fang Ming’s porsche leave, the two Bodyguards felt a sense of having survived a disaster.

They were the trusted aides of Nangong Ling’s husband, ’Shangguan Yang’; their ability and loyalty were beyond doubt.

If not for Fang Ming, they would have used the car’s powerful bulletproof features to catch the gunmen off guard and finally used their lives to cover Nangong Ling’s retreat.

While Nangong Ling wouldn’t have died in the end, she would have been injured—the kind of serious injury that would require a long time of secret recuperation.

So, in their eyes, Fang Ming had essentially saved their lives.

”Let’s handle the aftermath first, then find a way to locate him. Regardless, he saved us.” Nangong Ling had experienced many storms after all, and she had calmed down by now.

Thinking back to Fang Ming’s actions, amidst her shock, she felt a bit curious.

What kind of person would carry an AK with them? And what kind of person would just leave immediately after saving her?

”Understood!!” The Bodyguard nodded solemnly, knowing that handling the aftermath was more important right now.

About three minutes after Fang Ming left, a large number of police cars swarmed the scene.

A gunfight on the highway? This was a major case. The scene and information were quickly locked down; SWAT pursued the gunmen while traffic police directed the flow of cars.

Fang Ming exited the highway ahead, circled around, and then returned from the other side.

Ye Nuannuan and the others were still at the original spot, giving statements to the police.

To Chen Qian and the others, tonight’s events were a thrilling and new experience, but to Fang Ming, it was just a small interlude not worth taking to heart.

There wouldn’t be any suspicious points in the statements. Once they were finished, he directly took everyone back to Chengdu.

Next, everyone went home to find their own mothers.

...

At midnight that day, in a vast estate villa in the western suburbs of the Magic City.

A lean middle-aged man in his forties, wearing a dark gray silk housecoat, sat behind a large mahogany desk, deep in thought.

Shangguan Hong, Shangguan Yang’s younger brother and the second-in-command of the Shangguan Group. He was the one who had hired the desperate criminals to ambush Nangong Ling.

Buzz, buzz!!

His phone vibrated. He glanced at the caller ID, picked it up, but didn’t speak.

”Hello, Master Hong, something went wrong.”

The voice on the other end trembled with a hint of urgency. ”Twelve people: three dead, three seriously injured, four captured alive... only two escaped.”

The study was silent for two seconds.

Shangguan Hong put down his wine glass; the base clinked against the mahogany tabletop with a soft sound.

”Say that again?”

”Supposedly, a porsche suddenly rushed out. The owner had an AK, and the firepower was too intense...”

The voice on the other end recounted the events.

After listening, Shangguan Hong only found it absurd. ”An AK? Who in the country can carry an AK on the road? Old Liu, this group of people you found may not have much skill, but they sure are good at shifting blame.”

The other end fell silent for a moment, followed by Old Liu’s even more solemn voice.

”I also thought it was ridiculous, but... after the two who escaped came back, I asked them repeatedly and their stories matched. Moreover, news from the police side confirms that AK-47 casings and bullets were indeed found at the scene, not those of ordinary handguns.”
