Chapter 639: Chapter 637: Dragon Soul Deliberation (Seventh Update)

Inside the Dragon Soul Headquarters base.

In a spacious and bright conference room, the leaders of Dragon Soul gathered together, with two elderly men with grey hair sitting at the forefront.

They appeared to be in their fifties or sixties, their aura contained, but the sharpness in their eyes betrayed that they were no ordinary people. Both bore the insignia of a golden dragon on their person, clearly indicating that they were stalwarts of the Golden Dragon Pavilion of Dragon Soul.

At this moment, they had convened a heated discussion, when Yan Haotian, dressed in a black robe with an indifferent expression, walked in.

As Yan Haotian entered, the room fell silent, and all eyes turned to him.

”Today, indeed, everyone has turned out in full force, even the two Elders have shown up.”

Yan Haotian looked at the two Elders of the Golden Dragon Pavilion and said indifferently.

”Dragon Head, the reason we gathered everyone together is to discuss some of your recent actions!”

”Discuss? Discuss what?”

Yan Haotian’s expression remained indifferent as he spoke.

”Some of your recent decisions have not taken into account the interests and dignity of Dragon Soul, such as the incident when the Tianhai Dragon Soul Branch was breached, many Dragon Thorn members were injured, the Black Dragon Squad’s captain was severely wounded, and a Purple Dragon Guard member, Yanluo, was killed—a matter of extreme severity.”

”Not only did you forbid anyone from discussing this matter further, you didn’t take any action, you also prohibited anyone from laying a hand on the perpetrator, essentially neglecting the interests of Dragon Soul.”

”Do you realize that by doing so, not only will we lose the dominance and authority of Dragon Soul, making others no longer fear us, but it will also cause heartbreak and discord among our own members.”

”After all, every Dragon Soul member is loyal to the nation. Now, they have been injured, murdered, while the culprit roams free. As the Dragon Head, how can you justify this to the Dragon Soul members?”

One of the Golden Dragon Pavilion Elders, looking at Yan Haotian, spoke with conviction as the others nodded in agreement, clearly dissatisfied with Yan Haotian’s approach to the matter.

”Furthermore, about the incident at Young Master Yaan’s wedding yesterday, you once again opposed the Yaan Family for that young man and even clashed with the Dragon Guards. Although we do not know what exactly the relationship between you and that young man is, as the Dragon Head of Dragon Soul, your actions represent Dragon Soul and by doing so, you are undermining the authority of Dragon Soul.”

The Elder from the Golden Dragon Pavilion continued.

”What, then, do you think we should do?”

Yan Haotian asked quietly, his gaze sweeping across the group.

”Immediately dispatch the White Dragon Squad, team up with the experts of the Purple Dragon Guard, and capture that young man, bringing him back to Dragon Soul for severe punishment to demonstrate our authority and to give the members of Dragon Soul an explanation,” suggested another Elder from the Golden Dragon Pavilion firmly.

”Exactly!”

The others agreed in unison.

Yan Haotian’s eyes narrowed slightly as he said, ”No, that’s not acceptable!”

”You don’t get a say in this, Dragon Head. While you are the Dragon Head of Dragon Soul, this organization does not belong to you alone. This decision has been made collectively by all of us, and you have no right to object. If necessary, we will have to take this up with higher authorities,” the two strident Elders from the Golden Dragon Pavilion said.

”It seems you’ve made your decision without my consent!”

Yan Haotian said with an icy look as he glanced over the group.

”Well, then, proceed as you have decided, but let it be clear that no one from the Golden Dragon Pavilion is to intervene. If you do, don’t blame me for being unkind!” he declared coldly, then stood up and left the place.

In Yanjing, at a hotel, Xiao Yifeng had just woken up from his sleep and received a phone call. To his surprise, it was from Ye Yaxin.

Seeing that Ye Yaxin had taken the initiative to call, Xiao Yifeng was somewhat surprised and quickly answered.

”Hello, Ya Xin!”

Xiao Yifeng greeted.

”Xueqing is missing!”

Ye Yaxin said directly, her tone urgent.

”Lu Xueqing is missing? What happened?”

Xiao Yifeng’s brows furrowed slightly.

”I don’t know, I couldn’t contact her today, and there was nobody at her school. She didn’t go back home, and none of her friends have heard from her. I don’t know what happened, and I’m very worried about her safety, so I called you to see if you have any way to help.”

Ye Yaxin’s tone was heavy with concern.

”Has she offended anyone?”

Xiao Yifeng asked.

”No, Xueqing rarely has conflicts with others, it’s not possible that she’s offended anyone, is it?”

Ye Yaxin said.

”Then it could only be related to the new energy source!”

Xiao Yifeng said solemnly.

”New energy source? Do you mean someone has kidnapped her to get their hands on this new energy source?”

Ye Yaxin quickly realized.

”Very likely. Don’t panic, I’ll arrange for someone to investigate. I’m also heading back to Tianhai right away. You should be careful too!”

”Last night, a group of Japanese ninjas seemed to be after me but were taken care of by your men.”

Ye Yaxin suddenly mentioned.

”It seems that even Japan has started to make a move. Your situation is indeed not good. Make sure to protect yourself!”

Xiao Yifeng said a word and hung up the phone, then immediately called Cold Edge and Kuang Shi, instructing them to take care of their responsibilities and also to start looking for Lu Xueqing.

Now that Shen Yuting’s issue was temporarily resolved, he no longer needed to stay in Yanjing. It was time to return to Tianhai.

Xiao Yifeng called Shen Yuting to inform her that they too were returning to Tianhai today, but because they had to transport Shen Yunshan’s body back, there were some complications.

However, knowing that Dragon Thorn members were with them, Xiao Yifeng was reassured and didn’t worry about them encountering any more trouble.

In a Rolls-Royce, Xiao Yifeng, Qian Duoduo, Qijie, and Blood Rakshasa sat together, heading toward the Yanjing airport.

”Boss, was it you who wiped out the Yaan Family last night? You’re amazing!”

Qian Duoduo looked at Xiao Yifeng with an excited and admiring expression.

”Why so excited?”

Xiao Yifeng said casually.

”Ah, it’s a pity I didn’t witness the scene last night. It must have been thrilling. The Yaan Family really had bad luck messing with you, Boss. Now they’re completely finished. I heard Old Man Yaan got seriously ill from this and almost kicked the bucket. He’s been removed from his position too. It’s really one disaster after another.”

Qian Duoduo said with a cheerful smile.

”Evil doings will naturally meet with evil consequences, self-inflicted misery cannot be avoided!”

Xiao Yifeng said indifferently.

Suddenly, the Rolls-Royce screeched to an emergency stop, almost causing Qian Duoduo to face-plant onto the floor due to inertia.

”Damn it, who taught you how to drive?”

Qian Duoduo cursed angrily.

”Young Master, there’s a bunch of cars blocking the road ahead!”

The driver’s voice came from the cockpit.

”Let’s go down. Not even getting home is trouble-free, huh!”

Xiao Yifeng scanned with his penetrating gaze, shook his head, and the corner of his mouth curled into a cold smile.

No sooner had Xiao Yifeng and the others gotten out of the car, their gaze swept over the scene, only to see three black vans and an Audi parked in front of the Rolls-Royce.
