Chapter 616: Chapter 614 The Cunning Plan of Bai Zixiong

Xiao Yifeng glanced at Blood Rakshasa once more. The latter had not fully recovered due to the severity of his injuries and the excessive loss of Essence Blood from continuous use of Secret Techniques.

Xiao Yifeng took out a Human-rank Third Grade healing pill and gave it to Blood Rakshasa to facilitate a rapid recovery.

In the afternoon, at Ye Corporation, in the office of Ye Yaxin.

Ye Yaxin and Qiu Yuying were discussing the follow-up development of the new energy source when suddenly there was a knock on the office door, and Fang Siqi walked in.

”What’s the matter?”

Ye Yaxin asked Fang Siqi.

”President, an invitation has just been delivered. It’s from Bai Zixiong, Young Master Bai of the Bai Family of Suhang, inviting you to dine with him this evening!”

Fang Siqi placed an invitation in front of Ye Yaxin.

”Bai Zixiong!”

Ye Yaxin’s brows furrowed slightly as her phone began to ring.

”Hello?”

”Miss Ye, it’s me, Bai Zixiong!”

The voice of Bai Zixiong came from the other end of the phone.

”So it’s Young Master Bai, what is it?”

Ye Yaxin replied in a heavy voice.

”You’ve seen the invitation I sent you, right? I just arrived in Tianhai today and wanted to invite Miss Ye for a meal to catch up. I wonder if Miss Ye would extend me the courtesy.”

Bai Zixiong spoke.

”You’re in Tianhai?”

Ye Yaxin looked surprised.

”Yes, do you have time this evening, Miss Ye?”

”This...”

Ye Yaxin hesitated, her gaze flickering.

”What’s the matter? Miss Ye won’t even grant me this small courtesy? I would be truly heartbroken.”

Bai Zixiong spoke again.

”Alright then!”

Ye Yaxin thought for a moment and agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Qiu Yuying spoke up, ”Was that Young Master Bai from the Bai Family of Suhang who invited you to dinner?”

”Yes, somehow he suddenly showed up in Tianhai.”

Ye Yaxin nodded.

”Didn’t you say before that this guy was interested in you and even had a confrontation with Xiao Yifeng? How could you accept his invitation?”

Qiu Yuying asked incredulously.

”After all, he’s the Young Master Bai. The Bai Group and the Bai Family are among the top in Jiangnan. We, the Ye Family, cannot afford to offend them right now. Besides, this is Tianhai; as Young Master Bai, he wouldn’t do anything to me.”

Ye Yaxin said indifferently.

”Shouldn’t you tell him about it first?”

Qiu Yuying asked.

”No need, it’s fine.”

Ye Yaxin shook her head, a peculiar light flashing in her eyes.

”What exactly is going on between you and that guy? I feel something is amiss.”

Qiu Yuying’s eyes probed as she asked Ye Yaxin.

”There’s nothing between us.”

Ye Yaxin shook her head.

In the afternoon, as soon as it was time to leave work, Xiao Yifeng was about to leave the sales department but was stopped by Qiu Yuying.

”What is it? Manager Qiu? Is there something you need from me?”

Xiao Yifeng asked Qiu Yuying with a smile.

”Has something happened between you and Ya Xin?”

Qiu Yuying asked.

”No, everything is quite normal between us!”

Xiao Yifeng curled his lip.

With a doubtful look in her eyes, Qiu Yuying glanced at Xiao Yifeng and spit out, ”The Young Master Bai from the Bai Family of Suhang, Bai Zixiong, arrived in Tianhai today. He invited Ya Xin to have dinner together tonight.”

”Bai Zixiong!”

Xiao Yifeng frowned, a cold flash passing through his eyes.

”I heard that Bai Zixiong seems to have designs on Ya Xin, so I thought I’d give you a heads up!”

Qiu Yuying said directly.

”Thank you, Manager Qiu. You are so kind!”

Xiao Yifeng said, giving Qiu Yuying a big hug before turning around and leaving, leaving Qiu Yuying with a flushed face of embarrassment.

”This guy...” Qiu Yuying’s face blushed, and she secretly spat.

As night gradually fell, in a luxurious private room of a high-end hotel in Tianhai, Bai Zixiong and Ye Yaxin sat opposite each other, with a table full of delicious dishes in front of them.

”Here, Miss Ye, let’s toast to our reunion!”

Bai Zixiong raised his wine glass, smiling at Ye Yaxin.

”Thank you!”

Ye Yaxin said, raising her glass for a toast and taking a small sip.

”Young Master Bai, do you have any business in Tianhai this time?”

Ye Yaxin looked at Bai Zixiong and asked.

”Miss Ye, you should know that the new energy source developed by Ye Corporation has caused a huge sensation. Now, all major corporate clans, including some international forces, have set their sights on Ye Corporation, wanting to seize this new energy source to make a fortune. Your Ye Family’s situation is very unfavorable now.”

Bai Zixiong’s mouth twitched slightly upward.

Ye Yaxin’s brows furrowed slightly as she said, ”What do you mean, Young Master Bai?”

”Considering our friendship, as long as Miss Ye hands over this new energy source to Bai Group, we are willing to offer a high price and ensure the safety of Ye Corporation, as well as establish a new cooperation, guaranteeing that Ye Corporation won’t be at a loss.”

Bai Zixiong said, his gaze fixed on Ye Yaxin.

Ye Yaxin’s eyes flashed with surprise as she said, ”It seems that Young Master Bai has also come to Tianhai for the new energy source. No wonder you invited me to dinner.”

”However, I’m sorry, Young Master Bai, but no matter who it is, I won’t sell the new energy source. The Qian Corporation came this morning wanting it, but I still did not agree.”

”So Young Master Bai, you might as well save yourself the effort. Of course, our energy vehicles are about to be promoted nationwide, so if Bai Group doesn’t mind, we can indeed cooperate.”

”Miss Ye, are you planning to refuse? You should know that although holding onto this thing might make Ye Corporation wealthy, it could also lead to its destruction overnight.”

Bai Zixiong swirled the red wine in his glass and said softly.

”Thank you for your kind warning, Young Master Bai, but it’s getting late, so I’ll be heading back now.”

Ye Yaxin held her glass in a toast, then got up to leave.

However, two men in the private room blocked Ye Yaxin’s path. Her expression changed immediately, and she swept her gaze towards Bai Zixiong.

”Young Master Bai, what is this supposed to mean? You are the distinguished Young Master of the Bai Family. Are you planning to use force?”

Ye Yaxin said with a serious expression.

”Miss Ye, you’re misunderstanding. Of course, I wouldn’t use force against you. However, I, Bai Zixiong, am very stubborn. Whatever I want to do, I must achieve,”

”There are two things I want to do: the first is to make Miss Ye become my woman, and the second is to obtain this new energy source. I must accomplish both.”

Bai Zixiong drained his glass of red wine in one gulp and stood up, walking toward Ye Yaxin.

”Young Master Bai, I already have a fiancé, and it’s not possible between us. Furthermore, I will not hand over the new energy source,”

Ye Yaxin said with a cold demeanor.

”I believe that once you become my woman, Bai Zixiong, you’ll agree to everything I want,”

Bai Zixiong’s mouth curved into a wicked smile, his eyes sparkling with a sinister desire.

”You...”

Ye Yaxin’s expression changed, and she turned to rush out but was firmly grasped by the two men.
