Chapter 622: Chapter 620: The Second Young Master of the Xiao Family

Xiao Yifeng’s eyes sparkled as he muttered to himself, ”Don’t worry, since there’s fate, we’re bound to be together. Just wait for me!”

After saying that, Xiao Yifeng took out his phone and dialed a number.

”You can act now, wait for my command!”

After hanging up the phone, Xiao Yifeng turned and left the place.

Meanwhile, Shen Yuting, as if sensing something, stood up, walked to the balcony, and looked outside, but there was no one there.

Shen Yuting shook her head and walked back into her room.

In Yanjing, at the Xiao Family residence,

Zhang Xinlan walked into the Xiao Family’s home, heading for the back courtyard, when a flashy-dressed, dandy-looking young man blocked her path.

His eyes, gleaming with a wicked light, scanned over Zhang Xinlan. He was Xiao Yixing, the second son of the Xiao Family and Situ Yan’s second son, and Xiao Yiyun’s younger brother.

Seeing Xiao Yixing, Zhang Xinlan’s expression shifted slightly, especially upon meeting his ill-intentioned gaze, causing her brows to furrow tightly, but she dared not do anything and could only say in a low voice, ”Young Master, do you need something?”

”Xinlan, I haven’t seen you for a few weeks, and you’ve become even more beautiful. Your skin is so tender it seems about to drip water!”

While speaking, Xiao Yixing reached out to touch Zhang Xinlan’s cheek, but she quickly dodged away.

”Young Master, if you don’t need anything, I’ll go inside first.”

Zhang Xinlan said with her head down, attempting to walk past him, but was once again blocked by Xiao Yixing.

”Xinlan, why do you act like a terrified mouse whenever you see me? I don’t bite. We grew up together after all; why be so afraid of me?”

Xiao Yixing said, edging ever closer to Zhang Xinlan, who kept retreating until she suddenly tripped over something and started to fall backward.

Xiao Yixing outstretched one hand and caught Zhang Xinlan by the body, pulled her suddenly, and their bodies came together.

Zhang Xinlan’s face turned, and she tried to struggle but to no avail.

”Xinlan, I’ve fancied you for a long time, but you’ve never given me a chance. This time you’re going to be good and submit to me.”

A sly smile crept across Xiao Yixing’s mouth.

”Young Master, please don’t, I don’t like you!”

Zhang Xinlan spoke rapidly and anxiously.

”You don’t have to like me, it’s enough that I want you. Don’t pretend to be modest, you’re just a servant in our Xiao Family. For me, the noble Young Master, to desire you, it’s your honor!”

Xiao Yixing said assertively, with a sneer.

”Young Master!”

At that moment, a raspy and aged voice rang out. An elderly man, hunched over and dressed in plain clothes, with a white beard and mustache, slowly walked closer.

Seeing the old man, Xiao Yixing’s expression faltered.

”Grandfather!”

Zhang Xinlan called out to the old man, seizing the opportunity to break free from Xiao Yixing’s embrace and quickly ran behind him, looking at Xiao Yixing with a face full of dread.

”Steward Zhang, why have you come here?”

Xiao Yixing asked indifferently.

”Young Master, this is the Xiao Family. I hope you can conduct yourself with more restraint in the future and not commit deeds that would tarnish our family’s reputation!”

The old man was Zhang Xinlan’s grandfather, Zhang Li, who had served beside Elder Master Xiao for decades and had been the steward of the Xiao Family for just as long.

After saying that, Zhang Li turned and left, with Zhang Xinlan quickly following and leaving with him.

”Hmph, that damned old man, always acting superior because of his age. If it weren’t for Elder Master Xiao’s sake, I’d have shown you already!”

Xiao Yixing muttered coldly.

”Zhang Xinlan, you will inevitably become my prey, Xiao Yixing!”

A cold smirk appeared on Xiao Yixing’s lips as he turned and left.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xinlan followed by Zhang Li’s side, saying, ”Grandfather, thank goodness you showed up just in time!”

”Xinlan, be careful in the future. This second young master is flirtatious and lustful, with a liking for women. It seems he has set his sights on you. You’re safe within the Xiaos’, but outside, you need to be cautious to avoid him employing any dirty tricks,” Zhang Li cautioned.

Zhang Li spoke.

”Understood, Grandfather. By the way, do you know who I met today?” Xinlan suddenly said.

”Who did you meet?”

A hint of perplexity flashed in Zhang Li’s eyes.

”Brother Little Feeng, I saw Brother Little Feeng!” Xinlan exclaimed excitedly.

”Little Feeng? You saw Young Master Xiao Chen’s child, Xiao Yifeng?”

Shock flickered in Zhang Li’s eyes as he looked at Xinlan.

”Yes, actually I had seen Brother Little Feeng before, but didn’t recognize him at that time. Today he came to Yanjing, recognized me on the plane, and we even had a meal together,” Xinlan recounted with an excited expression.

”I heard that Young Master Yifeng had appeared before; it seems that it’s true. The elder master must have returned to the Xiao Family because of Young Master Yifeng,” Zhang Li said, his eyes twinkling.

”But my aunt has passed away, leaving Brother Little Feeng all alone,” Xinlan sighed.

”It seems even the heavens do not want Young Master Xiao Chen’s line to be extinguished. It’s just uncertain whether Young Master Yifeng will have a chance to return to the Xiao Family,” Zhang Li spoke with a complex look in his eyes.

At the same time, in Situ Yan’s room, the thirty-year-old maid hastened to Situ Yan’s side and reported, ”Madam, according to our intelligence, the young man has arrived in Yanjing.”

Originally resting in her lounge chair, Situ Yan’s eyes snapped open upon hearing the maid’s words, and she abruptly sat up.

”You’re saying he’s come to Yanjing?”

A terrifying glint flashed in Situ Yan’s eyes.

”Indeed, he has arrived in Yanjing and has now been taken away by Young Master Qian Duoduo of the Qian Family!” the maid said, bowing.

A sharp light glimmered in Situ Yan’s eyes as she mused, ”This fellow coming to Yanjing now, could it be for the wedding between Young Master Yan and the Young Lady of Shen Family?”

”Highly likely. Weren’t the limbs of that Young Master Yan disabled because of that Young Lady of Shen Family by him? Tomorrow is their wedding day, and his sudden appearance in Yanjing at this time could be related to that affair. But does he dare to disrupt the wedding in public?” the maid suggested.

”Given this young man’s character, it’s not impossible. If he dares to do so, I would actually be quite pleased to see it happen. Let him make a big fuss; he’ll only meet a more horrible end,” Situ Yan said with a cold smile curling her lips.

”Such a spectacle, if he truly dares to pull off something like that, things will indeed get very lively. However, madam, should we prepare something, to take advantage of this opportunity...” the maid said, her eyes flashing with a fierce intent.

”No need, let’s just wait and see how things unfold. After all, we are in Yanjing, and it wouldn’t be good for the Elder Master to find out. If they can’t handle him, then we’ll step in. In any case, now that he has come to Yanjing, he must not be allowed to leave alive this time,” Situ Yan asserted, her eyes hardening with a terrifying intent to kill.
