Chapter 262: Chapter 262: The Doctor Without Medical Ethics

”Has your brain gone bad, borrowing money from someone dressed so plainly, who looks just like a student? Do you even want to save your father? Do you have any idea how much the surgery will cost?”

The nurse who had just spoken looked at Xiao Yifeng with a disdainful and mocking gaze.

The other nurses and doctors shook their heads at the sight of Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng’s gaze swept coldly over the nurse as he walked past.

”I would really like to know how much this operation costs.”

”This is a major kidney transplant surgery; it costs at least three or four hundred thousand yuan. Can a poor kid like you afford that?”

The nurse eyed Xiao Yifeng with scorn.

Xiao Yifeng’s lips curled into a cold sneer. ”Don’t talk about three or four hundred thousand yuan; even if it were thirty or forty million, I could afford it. But I wouldn’t give this money to a bunch of you who don’t understand medical ethics and only recognize money.”

”A doctor’s duty is to treat illnesses and save lives. Now the patient is in such critical condition, yet you refuse to operate just because the patient’s family hasn’t paid the full surgery fee. You truly disgrace the uniform you wear and insult this hospital!”

”Kid, what nonsense are you spouting?”

Hearing Xiao Yifeng’s words, the nurse immediately glared at Xiao Yifeng with an angry expression, while the rest of the nurses and doctors looked at him with fury.

”Luo Yun, kick all these people out!”

Xiao Yifeng gazed at Luo Yun and commanded in a deep voice.

”This...”

Luo Yun’s expression changed, his eyes tinted with hesitation.

”Hmph, who do you think you are, kid? Kick us out, and this old man will have only death to look forward to. It seems like you just want to watch him die, right?”

The nurse looked at Xiao Yifeng with a mocking face.

”You talk too much. Get out!”

Xiao Yifeng grabbed the nurse by the collar and flung him out, throwing him into the corridor outside the ward. This caused the doctors and nurses to change their expressions.

”Kid, what are you doing? How can you hit someone like that?”

The doctor who had spoken earlier pointed at Xiao Yifeng and yelled angrily before turning his gaze to Luo Yun:

”Your brother here is openly insulting us in our hospital and hitting people. If he doesn’t apologize immediately, we will not perform the surgery on your father.”

Upon hearing the doctor’s words, Luo Yun’s expression turned anxious. He was about to speak when Xiao Yifeng walked over to the hospital bed.

”If you won’t operate, then don’t operate. Letting a bunch of quacks like you operate on a patient is not only a waste of money but might even cost a life. Luo Yun, throw them out. I will treat your father and guarantee you a healthy father returned!”

Xiao Yifeng approached the bed and looked at Luo’s father. ”Indeed, it’s kidney failure, and it’s very serious. One kidney is almost useless, and the other is failing fast.”

Furthermore, it has caused varying degrees of failure in other organs. If this goes on, he won’t last long. Even a transplant surgery might not save Luo Yun’s father. But luckily for him, Xiao Yifeng arrived.

However, the group of doctors and Luo Yun were collectively shocked by Xiao Yifeng’s statement at this moment.

”Mr. Xiao, what did you just say?”

Luo Yun looked at Xiao Yifeng in shock and asked again.

”I said, kick all those people out, I will treat your father, and it won’t be long before I return to you a healthy father,” Xiao Yifeng repeated.

”Really?” Luo Yun was still somewhat unable to question after hearing Xiao Yifeng’s words again.

”Kid, what nonsense are you spouting here? To think you can save someone with severe kidney failure, it’s simply a pipe dream!”

The doctor who had previously sneered and glanced at Xiao Yifeng with contempt, along with everyone else shaking their heads, didn’t believe a word Xiao Yifeng said.

A twenty-something youth claiming he could save a patient with severe kidney failure and multiple organ failure, and make them completely healthy again, must be a fool to believe it.

”You naturally wouldn’t know what real medical skills are,”

Xiao Yifeng said coldly, casting a glance at the doctor.

”Hmph, you say I don’t understand medicine, but I am a master’s student at the prestigious Melbourne Medical College of M Country, what high-ranked medical school did you graduate from?”

The doctor looked at Xiao Yifeng with a self-satisfied air.

”A person’s medical skills are not determined by some famous medical university, and besides, the Western medicine no matter how advanced is not as strong as our Chinese medicine. You treat a patient with surgery, while I only need a Silver Needle.”

As Xiao Yifeng spoke, he took out his acupuncture kit from his body, spread it open, and revealed a row of silver needles inside.

Seeing these silver needles, the group of doctors and nurses were all stunned, could this guy actually be thinking of reviving a patient with severe kidney failure just with a few silver needles?

”So it turns out you’re an Itinerant Quack Doctor, hoping to cure and save people with a few silver needles, it’s utterly laughable, I think you’re just seeking attention!”

The leading doctor pointed at Xiao Yifeng with a face full of disdain and scorn.

”Luo Yun, get them out of here immediately, your father’s condition is critical, I must administer the needles right now, as for whether you trust me or not, it’s up to you!”

Xiao Yifeng’s gaze shifted to Luo Yun, whose eyes flickered with hesitation.

”Do you really want to trust this greenhorn kid? Doing this will only kill your father, you should raise the money for the surgery right away and let us operate on your father!” the doctor hurriedly said.

”You damn jerk, how dare you hit me!”

That nurse, who Xiao Yifeng had thrown out earlier, stormed back in, her face full of rage as she pointed and furiously cursed at Xiao Yifeng.

”Please leave immediately!”

Finally, Luo Yun made up his mind and directly ordered the group of doctors and nurses to leave, leaving them all bewildered on the spot.

”You actually...”

The doctor pointed at Luo Yun, his face full of disbelief.

”Please leave here immediately.”

Luo Yun said solemnly, at this moment he could only put all his hope in Xiao Yifeng.

The reason Luo Yun made this decision might have been due to a certain intuition, an intuition about judging people, that made him unexpectedly trust the words Xiao Yifeng had spoken.

That decision, however, made the doctors and nurses think Luo Yun had gone mad.

”Do you realize what you’re doing, you’re disregarding your father’s life!”

The doctor pointed at Luo Yun and said outright.

In response, Luo Yun took action and drove them all out of the ward.

”You can leave too, stay outside. Don’t let anyone come in and disturb me, in half an hour, I guarantee that your father will be healthy!”

Xiao Yifeng looked at Luo Yun and spoke, while the latter watched Xiao Yifeng, nodded, and went straight out, closing the door behind him.
