The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Otherwise, why would humans have a word like ’turn over a new leaf’?

”You don’t need to worry about this matter anymore. I’ll find someone to handle it. I hope you truly have changed.” Tianmiao said calmly.

Zhang Mengfei was stunned. Just like that? No need to worry?

”If Tianmiao says it’s okay, then it’s okay! The boss Chen is his nephew! The one from the Blue Sky Group!” Han Ting said irritably, ”You can go now.”

”Ah, okay, thank you, Tianmiao, thank you!” Zhang Mengfei bowed deeply to Tianmiao, then stepped out.

After the door of the dormitory closed and Zhang Mengfei had walked away, Han Ting and Huang Shiyuan leaned in.

”Tianmiao, why are you helping her? She’s really too awful.” Han Ting said with a pout.

”Yeah, I don’t think it’s worth it.” Huang Shiyuan nodded in agreement.

”Right, we completely don’t understand your behavior.” Han Ting and Huang Shiyuan said together.

You don’t understand because I am not human.

I am the sky.

All living beings are equal, and I respect all life.

And the judgement of good and evil is not that absolute.

Human nature is the most complex.

Zhang Mengfei’s small misdeeds indeed had a bad impact; she had strayed, but she hadn’t completely gone bad.

She just wanted to see if she could straighten up.

If this time she hadn’t stepped in to help Zhang Mengfei, Zhang Mengfei would have died.

If I hadn’t shown up, Han Ting and Huang Shiyuan would have died too.

Shen Fan is not a simple rich man.

His family is involved in organized crime.

At first, he only wanted to reclaim some losses from Zhang Mengfei’s deceit, but later his friends mocked him. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, so naturally he came to trouble Zhang Mengfei. He blocked Zhang Mengfei outside University A and took her away. After Zhang Mengfei went missing, her classmates reported it to the police, but later they found Zhang Mengfei’s body.

Before that, Shen Fan also met with Han Ting. He took the opportunity to abduct Han Ting and Huang Shiyuan, and the police eventually only found their bodies.

These things, of course, Tianmiao wouldn’t let happen.

Shen Fan, who was indifferent to human life, and Zhang Mengfei, who deceived for money and emotions with fake photos, were not good people. However, the former was beyond saving, while the latter, her crime did not merit death and she could still turn over a new leaf.

Human nature is like this. When you think someone is very bad, someone even worse will come to break your bottom line.

Some might say, they’re all just villains.

But the truth is quite miraculous; evil, like pain, has different levels. Human emotions are the same. Liking, indifference, dislike, loathing, hatred...

...

Zhang Mengfei was on edge for a while but then found that Shen Fan never sought her out again, and Shen Fan’s lawyer never appeared. The posts online disappeared. She returned a portion of the money she had previously sold off to Pan Lin and Shen Fan, then started using her weekends and holidays to work. She moved back to the dormitory, left early, and returned late every day, with her life consisting only of work and study.

”She really seems to have changed, huh?” Han Ting got up, rubbing her eyes, ”Now she wakes up early every day and moves quietly, reads with a flashlight in bed at night, and even helps us boil water in the morning. But I still don’t like her.”

”Don’t force it.” Tianmiao smiled, ”At least she has changed; the rest doesn’t matter.”

Huang Shiyuan also got up, yawning, ”Even though she has changed, I still don’t want to be friends with her.”

”Don’t force it. Just be yourself.” Tianmiao smiled again. The soul of Zhang Mengfei, once gray, was gradually turning white. It’s truly amazing, the human thought to be beyond saving at first is now changing.
