”What’s the matter, Earl Gary? Still hesitating?” Aso Naijiro’s voice was laced with ruthlessness and a hint of dark persuasion. ”Are you really content to let that yellow-skinned monkey and that old relic walk all over you? Who do they think they are, daring to move against us? Besides, what’s the worst that could happen? Don’t tell me the Sicilian Family has never considered replacing the Brad Family. They’re nothing but a toothless, clawless tiger now. Isn’t this the perfect time to take that first step?”

Usurp the Brad Family’s position as the kings of Italy? Of course the Sicilian Family has thought about it. What Aso Naijiro is saying right now is just too tempting. The Brad Family is a toothless, clawless tiger. Why can’t we, the Sicilian Family, replace them and become the strongest in the Italian Dark World? Then, we would be the most prestigious and revered ancient Blood Clan family in all of Italy! For him, and for the entire Sicilian Family behind him, the allure was infinite, simply irresistible.

Clenching his fists, Earl Gary’s hesitant expression finally became resolute. ”Mr. Naijiro,” he said slowly, ”I have to admit, you are an excellent persuader. The Aso Family was right to send you.”

”Is that so?” Aso Naijiro finally smiled, a look that was both sinister and brilliant. ”It is an honor to receive such praise from you, Earl Gary.” The Earl’s words had finally put his mind at ease. A fierce, excited grin spread across his chubby face. I can’t help myself. After all, this involves the former king of the Italian Dark World—the Brad Family. No matter how arrogant I am, I understand that a starved camel is still bigger than a horse. If it were just me, unable to swallow this insult and wanting to strike at that Chinese swine and that damned old fossil from the Brad Family, I certainly wouldn’t have the guts. But with Earl Gary willing to make a move, the situation is completely different. I have nothing to fear. After all, he has the Sicilian Family of Italy behind him! In the past, the Brad Family might have been able to look down on them, but now? Heh, their own family is half-crippled, what right do they have to look down on anyone? They can barely manage their own affairs; it’s doubtful they would dare to stir up more trouble. So, what if that Chinese swine has the Red Family of Huaxia backing him? This is Italy, not Huaxia!

”Mr. Naijiro, what should we do next?” Earl Gary asked excitedly. Now that he had made his decision, the twisted, manic anger inside him was completely unleashed. It was as if he could already see that arrogant ”yellow-skinned monkey” lying in a pool of blood, its neck sliced open. ”That boy has ties to the Brad Family. We can’t count on Italian assassin organizations like Blood Blade, can we?” He was, however, struggling to think of who could carry out the deed. Clearly, unless absolutely necessary, he was still unwilling and lacked the nerve to declare open war on the Brad Family. Things hadn’t reached that point... yet.

”Why not?” Aso Naijiro replied with a cold sneer. ”We should go to them. We should go right to Blood Blade. Don’t they claim they’ll take any job for the right price?”

”Go to them? But why...” Earl Gary started, stunned, but his eyes suddenly lit up. He gave Aso Naijiro a thumbs-up. ”Mr. Naijiro, you Japanese are truly devious. They would never in their wildest dreams imagine that we—the Sicilian Family and the Aso Family—would hire the Brad Family’s *own* assassin organization to kill that yellow-skinned monkey right after a conflict with them! If this succeeds, the Red Family behind that monkey will have a complete falling out with the Brad Family! When that happens... Oh, this plan is brilliant!”

”Heh, of course,” Aso Naijiro said, raising his chin with a proud smile as he accepted Earl Gary’s praise. His expression then turned fierce and cold as he sneered, ”But that move alone isn’t enough. We’re after revenge, not just to spite the Brad Family. How about this... I happened to bring several Onmyoji from my Aso Family with me to Italy. We can give them an opportunity to act as well.”

”With your Aso Family’s Onmyoji involved, there won’t be any problems at all,” Earl Gary said, another excited sneer forming on his face. Compared to our Blood Clan, the so-called Onmyoji of Japan are far darker, more vicious, and unpredictable. Now that Naijiro is willing to involve his own family’s Onmyoji, what is there to be dissatisfied or worried about? Even if the plot is exposed, the ones who did the deed would be the Aso Family’s Onmyoji and the agents of Blood Blade. Without concrete evidence, would the current Brad Family dare to move against the Sicilian Family? They can dream on.

”Of course,” Aso Naijiro replied, his face mirroring the Earl’s excited sneer. I’m not stupid; I know exactly what that old fox is thinking. But once you’ve boarded a pirate ship, getting off isn’t so easy, is it? If things really blow up, I can just scrap this deal with the Sicilian Family and go back to Japan. That would leave these Italian fools to tear each other apart with the Brad Family. The Aso Family’s roots aren’t in Italy, after all... He quickly concealed these thoughts, however, as it wasn’t time for a falling-out yet. With a heart full of furious excitement, he began discussing the details with Earl Gary.

They knew that the Chinese swine was likely a youth from an ancient Red Family of Huaxia, so any move against him could not be taken lightly. Still, the opportunity to assassinate such a figure gave them both the thrilling sensation of playing with fire, and they felt an incredible rush of excitement.

Damn that yellow-skinned monkey! Just you wait. Enjoy the sweet suffocation of death! Hahaha...
