The afterglow of the setting sun faded slowly as Earl Gary and Aso Naijiro, who had been kicked unconscious by Old Huck, finally began to stir. They felt pain all over their bodies.

”FUCK! It hurts so damn bad…” At that moment, their eyes were filled with barely concealed hatred and ferocity.

With their status, when had they ever suffered such humiliation and physical trauma?

”Earl Gary, that yellow-skinned monkey dared to humiliate us like this, and that damn Marquis Huck… Are we just going to let this go?” Aso Naijiro was clearly the angriest of the two. Under the crimson afterglow of the evening sky, his face was a mask of rage, his eyes blazing with fury as he snarled through gritted teeth.

Even his own father, Aso Sazai, the current Clan Leader of the Japanese Asou Clan, had never beaten him like this! But now? Now, he, Aso Naijiro, had been beaten so miserably by that old bastard, Marquis Huck. Just two kicks felt like they would break every bone in his body! This left him, a man used to being treated as superior his entire life, feeling twisted with rage to his very core.

He wanted nothing more than to slowly dissect that old man with a katana! Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to have the strength…

Furthermore, his heart now held not only resentment toward Old Marquis Huck but also boundless jealousy toward Chen Fei, Young Master Chen. As the saying goes, the fruit you cannot have is always the sweetest.

If Aso Naijiro had only wanted to play around with Apel before, now, because of Young Master Chen’s interference, his heart felt as if it were being carved by a knife, an experience of endless humiliation and disdain. He, Aso Naijiro, the sole heir to the current Clan Leader of the Japanese Asou Clan, was actually considered inferior to a Huaxia Chinaman pig? What was that, if not humiliation? What was it, if not a disgrace!? Absolutely preposterous! Utterly preposterous!

”Mr... Mr. Naijiro, this person is connected to the Brad Family, and even Old Marquis Huck of the Brad Family treats him with such respect. Perhaps you are not aware, but Old Marquis Huck’s uncle is a great Blood Clan Duke… I suspect that yellow-skinned monkey... that kid’s background isn’t simple. He might be from one of the powerful Red Families in the capital city of that ancient country.”

Although Earl Gary’s face was just as grim and pale—blood still streaming down his arm—he was processing the situation. He hadn’t suffered this kind of humiliation and defeat in a very, very long time. Even if he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, he understood that anyone connected to the Brad Family must have an extraordinary background, perhaps one that even rivaled their own.

So, even though he was filled with resentment, his face twisted with rage, he suppressed his volatile feelings of shame and analyzed the situation rationally. ”Mr. Naijiro, your people in Japan should have more contact with that ancient and mysterious Huaxia, right? Those young people from their capital’s Red Families might hold seemingly inconspicuous positions in the government, but they often possess mysterious powers.”

”Like the mysterious Ancient Martial Artists of Huaxia!” As he said this, Earl Gary’s expression became extremely grave.

”So what? Earl Gary, don’t tell me you’re scared now!”

Aso Naijiro, however, merely gritted his teeth, a vicious light glinting in his eyes. ”This is Italy, not the Huaxia of those Chinaman pigs! And so what if he’s a member of a Red Family? Are our status and backgrounds weaker than his? Don’t forget, your Sicilian Family is a Blood Clan family, and our Asou Clan has Japanese Onmyoji as well!”

It turned out the Japanese Asou Clan did indeed have an extraordinary foundation, possessing Japan’s oldest and most mysterious Onmyoji. Otherwise, they could never have become one of the four kings of the Japanese underworld.

The methods of these so-called Onmyoji were generally unpredictable, insidious, and vicious, with ever-changing tactics. As a result, Japanese Onmyoji were renowned on a global scale, and very few people would ever dare to provoke them.

”Onmyoji?” Just hearing that word made Earl Gary’s brow furrow.

”Mr. Naijiro, what are you planning to do?” By now, he had clearly sensed the murderous intent in Aso Naijiro’s voice. His expression shifted slightly as he lowered his voice to ask.

”What do I want to do? I want to kill that Chinaman pig! And I want that bitch to crawl back here and lick my toes!” Aso Naijiro roared, his face a mask of pure, twisted ferocity. Clearly, the recent events had completely shattered his proud ego, unleashing the innate ferocity and extremism lurking within his character.

It had to be said, the people of Japan were easily driven to madness.

”Kill him? Mr. Naijiro, are you insane?! Didn’t you hear what I said? If that kid is really from a top-tier Red Family in Huaxia, killing him would certainly stir up a massive storm and bring us enormous trouble!”

Earl Gary’s face fell. He continued with a grim look, ”Besides, you saw the Brad Family’s attitude toward that kid, didn’t you? If we actually kill him, how are we supposed to deal with them?”

”The Brad Family? Hmph. Earl Gary, is that riffraff even worthy of the Sicilian Family’s concern right now?” Hearing this, Aso Naijiro’s lips curled into a deep, mocking sneer. ”Don’t forget, the Brad Family has been nearly decimated. They can barely take care of themselves, so why would they have the spare energy to care about that Chinaman pig? And if they’re foolish enough to try and meddle, wouldn’t your Sicilian Family want to take their place?”

”Take their place?”

At these words, Earl Gary’s eyes narrowed and his breathing quickened. He licked his pale lips and asked slowly, ”Mr. Naijiro... what exactly do you mean by that?”

”What do I mean?”

Aso Naijiro’s blood-stained lips slowly twisted into a vicious, cold, and arrogant sneer. ”The Brad Family is now nothing but a severely wounded and dying tiger. If it just wants to lie low and lick its wounds, fine. But if it doesn’t want to be so well-behaved…” Aso Naijiro paused, a sinister look in his eyes. ”Earl Gary, do you really think the Brad Family, in its current state, can handle our Asou Clan *and* your Sicilian Family?”

Earl Gary said nothing. He simply stared at the crazed, ferocious Aso Naijiro, his eyes flickering with indecision.
