Chen Fei narrowed his eyes. He seemed to recognize the face before him, and then it dawned on him. Wasn’t that Duke Ovilia’s nephew? He had been brought to meet him once before, so he had a vague impression.

Just moments ago, Aso Naijiro and Earl Gary had been stunned into a terrified stupor by the sudden appearance of the Brad Family’s army. They were too shocked to pay any attention to their surroundings. During that time, Old Marquis Huck had already led his men through the blockade and onto the beach.

Clearly, even though Old Brad and the others hadn’t followed, they had been clever enough to arrange for contingencies. They had even covertly mobilized their family’s private army to prevent any accidents. And now, that move was proving to be useful.

”L-Lord Marquis Huck?” As countless cold gun barrels were pointed at his head, Earl Gary finally sensed that something was terribly wrong. Beads of cold sweat poured freely from his forehead and hairline. Seeing Old Huck’s all-too-familiar face, his own expression instantly froze, and a moment later, his legs began to tremble with fear.

He obviously never imagined in his wildest dreams that the leader of the Brad Family’s army would be none other than Lord Marquis Huck, the family’s long-standing public face.

That was a Marquis! While the title of Marquis was only one rank above his own of Earl, the implications were terrifying and beyond imagination. After all, the Blood Clan had long grown accustomed to assigning noble ranks based on an individual’s level of strength. A Marquis... was second in power only to the great Dukes.

So now he was truly frightened. Even though his grandfather was a high-ranking member of the Sicilian Family who held great power and was also a veteran Marquis himself, his grandfather didn’t have just one descendant; he had at least seven or eight. Therefore, while his status might seem impressive and imposing to ordinary people or even to average members of the three great families, he was nothing before a powerful and esteemed figure like Old Marquis Huck. He didn’t even have the right to show off or act proud.

Even if the other party decided to blow his head off with a single shot, he feared his grandfather wouldn’t confront Old Marquis Huck or trouble the Brad Family for his sake.

At the thought, the cold sweat on Earl Gary’s forehead started pouring out again, unstoppable. Why? Why is it like this!? Could it be that this brat, this yellow-skinned monkey, truly has some terrifying background? On what grounds!?

”Mr. Chen, I apologize. It was our negligence that led to this unpleasant incident. Please, don’t take it to heart.”

Yet, what Old Marquis Huck did next shook both Earl Gary and Aso Naijiro to their cores.

Without even deigning to glance at Earl Gary, he bowed deeply to Chen Fei with fear and trepidation. On his pale forehead, large beads of sweat formed and dripped down onto the sand. As Duke Ovilia’s own nephew, who had even had the ’honor’ of meeting Chen Fei once before, Old Huck knew full well how much his uncle, the Clan Leader, and indeed the entire family valued, revered, and feared Chen Fei, Mr. Chen!

There was no helping it. After all, a single sentence from him was enough to make the likes of Saint Magus Melsdom and Mr. Mardo—along with the top powerhouses of the major factions—willingly step forward to protect his family. The weight of his words, his level of status, the sheer immensity of such a figure... his power and terrifying nature couldn’t possibly be described in just a few simple words.

But regardless, Old Huck was now keenly aware of the power and status of Chen Fei, Mr. Chen, so how could he dare to be slow or disrespectful? That was why he had mobilized his troops with such haste, moving as if preparing for immediate battle.

After all, there was no way around it! What kind of status did Chen Fei, Mr. Chen, possess? What kind of immense figure was he?! Yet now, that damn Earl Gary from the Sicilian Family had dared to mobilize a pack of dogs with guns to surround him! When Old Huck received the news, it had scared him out of his wits. At the same time, he desperately wanted to grab a gun and blow that idiot’s brains out right then and there! FUCK! What a fucking idiot...

”Old Huck, this has nothing to do with you. However, this friend from Japan, and him,” Chen Fei gestured towards Gary, ”they seem to think Italy should now be named ’Sicily.’ Forgive my bluntness, but I’ve never heard of this Sicilian Family. What the hell is it?” Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, squinted his eyes and spoke indifferently.

Although he had long outgrown the phase of bickering with ordinary people, being surrounded by gunmen and even shot at had genuinely pissed him off. It was already generous that he, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, didn’t go around bullying others! Since when did small fry like this have the gall to ’bully’ him?

”Is that so? Oh, my deepest apologies, respected Mr. Chen. When exactly did Italy change its name to ’Sicily’? Please forgive me, I really didn’t know,” said Old Huck. Upon hearing this, his pupils reddened instantly as he fixed his gaze on Earl Gary. A cold killing intent was rapidly growing in his eyes.

The Brad Family had just suffered a disaster and was in a sensitive position. And now this goddamn Sicilian Family had decided to jump out... Their intentions were truly damnable! Had Italy really changed its name to Sicily?

”No, no, that’s not it, Lord Marquis Huck! Don’t listen to his nonsense, it’s all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding!” blurted out Earl Gary, his legs going weak. His face turned pale as he trembled.

There was no way around it. He might have been able to get away with saying such things in front of others, but this was Lord Marquis Huck, the Brad Family’s spokesman! How could he dare say it? How could he not panic?

But at this moment, Aso Naijiro seemed to calm down. After all, his own background was not ordinary. He looked at Old Huck, frowned, and said slowly, ”My friend, this whole affair should be considered a misunderstanding. We are all people of status. There’s no need to let things get so tense, is there?”

”Status? Status my ass!” Old Huck’s angry roar was the only response, followed by a vicious kick.

THUD!

Aso Naijiro, who had just managed to calm down and step forward to posture, was sent tumbling seven or eight times across the ground by Old Huck’s furious kick. He was left dizzy and aching all over, completely unable to get back up.

It couldn’t be helped. At the end of the day, Aso Naijiro was just an ordinary human. How could he possibly withstand an enraged kick from a Marquis of the Blood Clan like Old Huck? He was already lucky to be alive.

Status? You fucking dared to offend Chen Fei, Mr. Chen, and you still have the nerve to talk about status in front of me? Are you out of your goddamn mind?
