Chapter 1154: Chapter 1153: All Forty or Fifty Students Signed Up

’Knock knock knock--’

A knock on the door came from the director’s office, and the assistant teacher Jiang Lihao said softly, ”Director, may I come in...”

Initially, before Gu Tong left the classroom, she had told Jiang Lihao they would meet at the director’s office. Because of this, Jiang Lihao rushed over as soon as he finished the task at hand.

Mind you, even though he was an assistant teacher, he still harbored some fear of Gu Tong inside.

”Come in.” Hao Changxing let out a deep breath, feeling relieved as finally a trainee showed up. He knew this assistant teacher had a good temperament, giving him a perfect opportunity to change the topic. He wouldn’t have to worry about Gu Tong and Ding Sidan arguing again.

”Yes!” Jiang Lihao, barely holding back his nervousness, walked cautiously into the director’s office and reported to Gu Tong, ”Teacher Gu, well, almost all the internal medicine students signed up for the elective course, and there are about forty or fifty of them. Here is their registration form.”

Jiang Lihao didn’t know what else to say, so the first thing he uttered was his report.

Uh...

This should be fine, right?

Yet...

As soon as the words fell, all the teachers in the director’s office looked utterly surprised.

They all gazed at Gu Tong in shock. It was unexpected that she could be so fierce. It was just one class, and almost all the internal medicine students signed up. This...

Of course, it wasn’t the moment to marvel at Gu Tong’s personal abilities. They hadn’t forgotten the other teacher in the director’s office, Ding Sidan!

Ding Sidan’s face had turned as dark as a frying pan, looking miserable beyond description.

Forty or fifty students all signed up!

This was blatantly stealing students, a rhythm of having already succeeded!

Ding Sidan couldn’t help but recall the comments she shared with students when the Academy first opened elective courses: ”This kind of course is useless for our internal medicine. We should focus all our energy on exams and completing our internal medicine studies. As for the twenty points from elective courses, they don’t matter. If the exam scores are good, we’ll naturally recover them!”

At the time, these words resonated with the students, met with thunderous applause, and none went to sign up for elective courses afterward.

Even later, when Ding Sidan dined with the surgery department teachers and talked about this matter, it drew praise from other teachers!

But...

Right now!

Ding Sidan clenched her fists tightly. Normally, students attending elective courses wouldn’t matter, but right now!

Their swarming registration was akin to a slap in the face, highlighting her embarrassment for everyone to see.

All the teachers in the office, puzzled, also worried they might argue again, involuntarily casting their gaze towards Ding Sidan. She seemed like a joke, standing under everyone’s scrutiny.

Ridicule, mockery, satire...

Various gazes filled the space around Ding Sidan. Even if the teachers didn’t have such emotions, Ding Sidan projected these changes, believing they were watching a joke.

Ding Sidan gritted her teeth and said, ”You must work hard, Teacher Gu! My internal medicine students are quite unruly!”

Her eyes fell on Gu Tong, wishing she could bore a hole into her. They had indeed formed a grudge!

Gu Tong’s mouth twitched slightly, revealing the other’s emotions, and said, ”Um, okay...”

Jiang Lihao’s timing was completely off, not too early or too late, just at the moment when the fire had just been extinguished.

And, a casual remark upgraded the conflict again, elevating it to a different level...
