Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 598: 598: Fulfilling filial duties is, of course, the right thing to do.

Damn it, just let them die!

People have their time to go, right?

There’s no need to hold on forcibly and waste all this money.

”That’s not true, the patient clearly requested to be hospitalized himself, you families have no right to make decisions for him...”

Perhaps it was because she was in Gu Tong’s arms, the little nurse spoke more assertively, anxiously fearing that Gu Tong would not know the truth and would agree to their suggestion.

”What’s this little girl talking nonsense about! Our old man isn’t even sick! And how could a perfectly fine person voluntarily choose to be hospitalized? You’re just making things up for the hospital’s profit!”

The patient’s son was unreasonable and skillfully argued back, saying, ”Besides, we’re family, how could we possibly mistreat the elderly!”

This statement might make some sense taken alone, but it had to be told to someone who didn’t know the facts or the situation!

Children can be filial or unfilial, you can’t generalize.

”You’re talking nonsense...”

The little nurse was about to panic, hurriedly tugging on Gu Tong’s sleeve, trying to get her to help, and pleading with her not to believe their nonsense, as they really intended to harm the elderly...

Gu Tong’s eyes were like torches, staring at them for a long time, a faint smile formed at her lips, she said calmly, ”Makes sense!”

Once those three words landed, the critical condition area fell into silence...

All the doctors and nurses were dumbfounded, looking at Gu Tong in disbelief...

She actually said it makes sense...

What on earth is she thinking...

Could she really be thinking of handing the elderly over?

For the official who just came to take charge and didn’t yet know the truth, they all felt a bit uncertain inside...

”You say it makes sense...” The patient’s eldest son was slightly stunned too, then quickly smiled obsequiously and said, ”Yes, that’s what I think too. If it’s time to release them, just release them, we can’t just keep stopping the family from seeing them, right...”

”Hmm, you’re right!”

Gu Tong cooperated with a sentence, completely standing on the side of the patient’s eldest son.

This time, everyone was even more dumbfounded, staring with eyes wide open, unable to believe what Gu Tong meant...

”He’s, he’s wrong, don’t believe him...” The little nurse grew anxious once more, desperately tugging at Gu Tong’s sleeve, trying to plead with her not to hand the elderly over.

One must know, she had taken care of the elderly, clearly aware of the old man’s disappointment and heartbreak towards his children, and even more aware of his will to survive...

”How am I being unreasonable, do children wanting to be filial to their parents do anything wrong? I just want to take my father home to take care of him, is there a problem with that? Is filial piety a problem? Isn’t your hospital being unreasonable...”

The patient’s son responded pitifully, but it was directed at Gu Tong, fearing she might change her mind and not return the old man to them...

”Children wanting to be filial is only natural! Indeed there’s nothing wrong with that!”

Gu Tong’s slender fingers constantly toyed with the little nurse’s hair, as if hinting her to calm down.

But obviously, this gesture was quite effective, sure enough, the little nurse quieted down...

”Right, right, it’s never wrong to be filial...” The patient’s son seized this breakthrough point, gripping onto the notion of filial piety, refusing to let go until achieving his goal.

Gu Tong’s bright black eyes lifted, a hint of light flashing within, she responded once more, ”Of course, there’s nothing wrong with being filial!”
