Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 591: 591: It was this girl who came up with the idea

In medical research, academic debates are frequent occurrences.

Because they are responsible for human lives, at critical moments like these, there can be absolutely no compromise on what they believe in.

In her previous life, Gu Tong had participated in numerous medical seminars and had some experience, so she didn’t find it particularly unsettling.

She waved her hand and pointed to a seat not far away, signaling the two behind her to sit there for the time being.

Now, at the round table, all participants in the discussion were renowned figures in the medical field. As juniors, they were in no position to speak!

However―――

”If our prevention is effective, we can stop the spread of the pandemic. It’s not that the pandemic hasn’t reached us! Sheng Guoli! Can you be reasonable?”

Xue Zhengping angrily slapped the table, then pointed at Gu Tong.

”The prevention method was devised by this girl! If you don’t believe it, ask her how effective it truly is!”

Gu Tong hadn’t even warmed her seat when she felt all eyes at the round table fixed on her...

She coughed lightly, never expecting that Xue Zhengping would lay the blame in this way...

The ongoing seminar was not supposed to be a place for her to speak, which made Gu Tong somewhat embarrassed...

”Girl, tell us, how are your defense measures!” Sheng Guoli demanded bluntly!

Gu Tong raised her eyebrows, not expecting such directness.

However, since they were asking about prevention, there was nothing she couldn’t answer...

”The Academy’s disinfection methods are a combination of external and internal disinfection!”

Gu Tong said straightforwardly: ”External disinfection involves disinfectants and other simple disinfection methods. Internal disinfection is carried out by the cooking team. Initially, the pandemic did not extend to the Academy.”

”The Academy considered it comprehensively and, to avoid causing panic, we focused on dietary therapy, providing a preventive menu to the cooking team. Among them, the main ingredients used were rice vinegar and chili! Of course, these are just simple prevention measures!”

Gu Tong’s explanation was clear and methodical, but her ideas differed from Sheng Guoli’s.

Sheng Guoli furrowed his brow and said: ”The rapid spread of the disease is unimaginable! The best approach now is to combine antibacterial drugs for prevention. If we rely solely on dietary therapy, it might end up being counterproductive!”

When SARS first appeared, indeed some experts suggested using antibacterial drugs or antiviral treatments!

Their initial considerations were mostly due to the rapid progression of the pandemic! Surely the experts had their relative ideas.

But―――

”Blind use of antibacterial drugs not only fails to prevent disease in healthy individuals but also allows bacteria to develop drug resistance, leading to treatment failures.”

”Furthermore, many antibiotics have severe adverse reactions, such as anaphylactic shock, liver damage, and kidney damage. Therefore, prophylactic use of antibacterial drugs is an absolute bane with no benefits.”

Gu Tong presented her perspective, which was also the conclusion of her research.

Of course, the data in her hands was analyzed in conjunction with past pandemics from her previous life.

It was undoubtedly more authoritative than the experts’ analyses.

”I am well aware of these issues, but the pandemic is not yet controlled, and we cannot give it a chance to spread throughout Longxing Country! Prevention must be timely!”

Sheng Guoli glared, staunchly expressing his views.

He showed no retreat, despite the opposing party being a young woman!

This tenacity perhaps epitomizes the authority of these renowned figures, within their field of expertise.

It is absolutely beyond question!
