Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 596: 596: Forcibly kidnapping the elderly

The Doctor hadn’t recovered from the shock when Gu Tong was already heading towards the patient’s family.

The former pondered over the words she had just spoken and couldn’t help but feel a chill in her heart...

...

”Give us back our father!”

”You heartless doctors don’t care about the family’s wishes at all! Forcibly taking the old man away! Insisting on giving him excessive treatment! You are too much! You’ll get your retribution!”

”We want to see our family, we want our family! Give us back our father...”

The family members were becoming more and more agitated, even as if they wouldn’t rest until death.

It wasn’t their first time causing a scene at the hospital; they were already quite familiar with such matters.

...

”Family members, please be quiet. The elderly is still in treatment, you can’t do this...”

The young nurse stood in front, on the verge of tears in anxiety, saying, ”There are other patients in the hospital, they are also sick and need rest. Please consider others...”

...

”We can’t consider others! We just want to see our family. As long as you give us our father back, we’ll leave immediately and never come to your hospital again!”

The elder son’s voice was the loudest. When they left home, they had already been heatedly arguing over the old man’s property. The siblings, once born of the same mother, had become strangers, causing such a scene that no one recognized each other anymore.

If the elderly wouldn’t return soon, he feared his heartless siblings would think of splitting the inheritance evenly!

He had already decided to claim the inheritance all for himself, how could he give them the chance?

”Yes, yes! We just want to see our family. Give us back our family!”

”Heartless hospital! Give back my family! Heartless doctors, give back my family!”

...

”You, you all...”

The family members were making such a clamor that the young nurse involuntarily stepped back.

She was clearly scared by the situation...

As a nurse, she knew clearly that treating and saving lives was her professional ethic!

Unfortunately, she hadn’t been in the profession long, lacking experience in this area, completely uncertain about how to handle it...

Equally, she couldn’t understand the thoughts of this group of family members...

In this world, what could be more valuable than the life of a family member? The elderly was already so sick, the most important thing was surely to treat him. Life is crucial...

Is the inheritance that important? Is it worth ignoring the life and death of a family member? This elderly is too pitiful...

After a hundred years, when they themselves are aged, won’t they be afraid to look back in hindsight, won’t they fear retribution?

An unprecedented sense of powerlessness engulfed the young nurse’s nerves, her eyes were already red, an unknown cold swept through her body, and likewise, this was something a nurse must endure...

The young nurse’s voice was somewhat dry, her body trembling as she sobbed, ”Family members, please calm down, please calm down...”

She desperately tried to control the family’s emotions, but to no avail, she helplessly cried, like a child who had been wronged...

These were the tears of the Angel in White, yet they also represented a helpless surrender to reality...

’Clang clang clang---’

The white military shoes stopped beside the young nurse, successfully capturing her attention as she looked back, her eyes reddened...

Only to be enveloped in a sudden warmth, just as she was about to resist, she was met with a cascade of jet-black hair and a faint fragrance...

Slender palms pressed on top of the nurse’s head, a sense of inexplicable safety swept over her...

Gu Tong’s flickering eyes fixed on the young nurse, her red lips parted as she spoke, ”Leave it to me!”

The three calm and unruffled words made the young nurse feel relieved, her mood slightly pacified, she looked at Gu Tong with eyes as if she had been rescued, a thick sense of trust in this beautiful female officer rose...

The young nurse instinctively nodded...
