Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 597: 597: Just talk to me if you have something to say

Gu Tong’s embrace came suddenly, but it wasn’t meaningful, it was just meant to provide the young nurse with some comfort.

She was once a member of the medical field herself and understood the emotions faced during conflicts with patients’ families, a darkness that most people couldn’t imagine.

However, it has to be said that such enthusiastic medical staff, willing to stand up and think for the patients, are rare to find.

Gu Tong couldn’t help but admire her actions. After thinking, she patted the young nurse on the head again.

Maybe it’s because she had never been treated this way by a girl before... the young nurse blushed from Gu Tong’s overwhelmingly powerful behavior, curling up in her embrace, not daring to lift her head for a long time...

”I’m the temporary person in charge here! Just tell me if you have something to say!”

While comforting the young nurse, Gu Tong didn’t forget the matter at hand and straightforwardly addressed the patient’s family.

The pristine Academy Uniform quickly caught the attention of the patient’s family. They looked at Gu Tong standing at the entrance of the critical patients’ zone, indifferent to her presence...

She appeared calm, neither happy nor angry, showing no emotion, yet her aura was imposing. Just by standing there, it was clear she was someone not to be trifled with.

After all, that Academy Uniform wasn’t just worn for fun. The patient’s family couldn’t help but recall the constable who had taken them away earlier on the hospital’s report, causing them to swallow nervously...

The patient’s family members looked at each other, unsure of what to do until their gazes fell upon the patient’s eldest son, all with an expression of ’You’re the eldest, you handle this.’

The patient’s eldest son, in his thirties or forties and quite experienced in life, felt a bit nervous facing Gu Tong. He could only say tensely, ”Can you solve the problem...”

Previously, when the constables took them for a talk, it was merely for mediation, not a solution to the problem...

Besides, he had asked, and this kind of situation was considered a civil dispute, not within their jurisdiction...

As long as it doesn’t escalate, the constables can’t enforce the law forcefully. If it weren’t so, they wouldn’t dare to create such a disturbance...

”Of course!”

Gu Tong, known for her word being her bond, always made sure to follow through on her promises.

”Alright, here’s the situation: my father was taken by you and forced to receive treatment. We now want to take him back and stop his treatment at your hospital, but they refuse...”

As the patient’s eldest son said this, he felt a bit guilty, after all, he was twisting the truth and changing the narrative forcibly.

He even erased the fact that the elderly had voluntarily sought help and requested treatment.

Uncertain if Gu Tong knew the situation of the elderly, he dared not continue further...

The patient’s eldest son carefully observed Gu Tong’s expression, seeing her unfazed with no visible emotion, he continued.

”The hospital has forcefully held onto him, and we as family members have no other options, so that’s why we’re doing this. We mean no harm, we just want to take the elderly man home to recuperate, not to continue treatment in your hospital, hoping you can help us!”

The patient’s eldest son placed them in a position of weakness, forcing the hospital’s image to become detestable.

His thinking was simple! Perhaps, they had made such a fuss that the hospital had enough, so they were finding a reason to send the father away!

If the hospital could be lenient, maybe they could let matters slide then!

Besides, they really couldn’t bear the elderly to continue staying hospitalized, knowing that the medical expenses here were very high.

If he squandered all those inheritances, what would they get?! He was planning to buy a new house and couldn’t let the old man waste all the money!
