I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Kain stared at the scene in front of them for a few seconds.

The sound of metal hitting metal, Mana explosions, and the screams of the injured reached the top of the slope.

The temporary defensive array around the camp had cracks in several places, and its light became weaker for a moment every time an attack hit it.

”I didn’t mean that we would find them right in the middle of a battle.” He said with a slight frown.

Down in the pass, around fourteen native humans were fighting the Awakeneds.

Their movements also did not look like those of a random group of hunters, they were organized.

Three people were pushing the front line, several others were moving from both sides, and the archers were creating opportunities for the others to get closer to the camp from behind.

Since it was impossible to see their Level just because they were humans, but from their aura and presence, it was unlikely that they were above Level 30.

Although there were also two stronger presences, along with a man who seemed to be the leader of the group and might be Level 30.

For the groups of Awakeneds that worked in this area, they were not a small force.

The result of the battle also showed this.

One of the Awakeneds had fallen onto his knee and was pressing a hand against his bloody side.

Another man was trying to pull him behind an overturned cart, while two natives were approaching from the side with spears.

A little farther away, the wall of the array shook again.

BOOM!

A crack of light appeared on its surface.

One of the native warriors passed through the crack and brought his sword down toward an Awakened who was standing behind it.

There was no attempt to negotiate, and neither side seemed to have any intention of retreating.

The young Vorhelm watched for only a few more seconds.

”Let’s go.”

One moved almost at the same moment.

The ant’s six huge legs struck the ground, and every step lifted a mass of dirt and small stones behind them.

Several Earth Awakeneds quickly noticed the huge creature coming down the slope.

Their first reaction was fear, one of them even pointed his weapon at One, but when he saw Lian and Kain on its back, he lowered his hand.

After seeing which direction they had come from and Kain’s equipment, it was clear that they were not enemies.

The natives also noticed their presence.

Two of them turned their heads for a moment, but the battle did not allow them to focus for any longer.

The Child Of Light jumped off its back before One completely reached the camp.

Golden-white light gathered around his right palm.

At the same moment, one of the native warriors threw his spear toward an injured Awakened who no longer had a chance to dodge.

He moved his hand, and a line of light passed between his fingers.

Clang!

The light attack hit the body of the spear directly, knocking the weapon off course in the air, and it fell into the ground several meters away.

The injured Awakened looked at Kain with wide eyes.

”Move!” He shouted loudly, and without waiting for an answer, he gathered the light around both of his hands again.

The native attacker who had thrown the spear ran directly toward him.

Kain held out his palm.

BOOM!

A compressed wave of light hit the man’s chest and sent him several meters backward.

The armor on the front of his chest cracked, but at that exact moment, one of the natives standing a little farther behind became completely still.

It was as if he had seen something impossible!

His eyes were not on Kain, but on the light around his hands, and for several seconds, the man even forgot about the battle around him.

His pupils narrowed.

”That light...”

Another warrior who was wearing longer clothes under his armor heard him.

He turned his head and looked at Kain for a moment, then his expression changed.

”Wait!”

His voice passed through the screams of the battlefield, and several members of the group instinctively looked at him.

The man took one step forward and stared more carefully at the light around Kain’s hands.

”Don’t kill him!”

”What did you see?” The leader of the group, who seemed to be the strongest native present, immediately turned toward him.

”The light of that foreign barbarian... it has the mark of the Divine of Light!” The man still seemed unable to believe what he was seeing.

The commander frowned, as if he could not understand how a foreigner could use light power that contained a mark of their goddess.

How could something like this even be possible?

But suddenly he thought of something, and his eyes widened slightly ....that’s right, there had been a report from an abandoned temple a few months ago that foreign barbarians had managed to steal their goddess’s tear.

”Could this barbarian... be the same thief?” He whispered.

Lian, who had just gotten down from One’s back, calmly fixed his eyes on the man’s face.

Thief?

He was also a little surprised, what exactly was different about the light Kain was using compared to a normal user of the Light element?

Was this something that only worshippers of the Divine of Light could notice?

And it was not difficult to understand what they meant by the thief.

His mind quickly went back to several months ago, in the same ruin where he had saved Kain, there had been two natives as well.

He had captured one, but the other had escaped, and it was normal for him to report to the other people of his race that the Divine of Light’s tear had been absorbed by a foreigner.

The news that a foreigner had entered a ruined temple belonging to the Divine of Light and taken the tear would naturally not remain hidden.

The native commander’s eyes remained fixed on Kain for a moment, and then his decision was made.

”We want him alive! The others don’t matter!”

”This is the thief we’ve been looking for for a long time!”

The entire formation of the battlefield changed.

Three of the natives who had been fighting the other Awakeneds immediately pulled back and turned toward Kain, while two others moved from the side.

A man also took something out from his belt.

Black rings with thin chains hanging between them, and Mana marks moved across their surfaces.

At first glance, they seemed to be some kind of restraint tool.

Kain condensed the light around both of his hands and gave Lian a quick look.

”I think they want me.”

”Obviously, they seem to have realized that you’re the one who stole their god’s tear.”

”Hey! I didn’t steal anything, their own god chose me, how is that my fault?”

The young Vorhelm ignored him, it was better to end this situation as soon as possible.

The first native attacked, and his speed was not bad for his Level, he closed the distance in only a few steps, and the hand holding the restraint ring went directly toward Kain.

But Lian appeared between them, without using any skill and only using his raw speed.

The attacker did not even understand when he had moved from several meters away to directly in front of him.

The young Vorhelm’s hand closed around his wrist, and the man tried to pull his hand back ... but it did not move.

He twisted his wrist, and the attacker’s body was forced to twist with the movement, his foot left the ground and ....BOOM!

His face hit the stone.

Lian immediately touched the back of his neck with his other hand, one short and controlled pressure, and the man’s body went limp and fell unconscious on the ground.

The natives looked at each other when they saw this scene and swallowed.

One of them had been knocked out this easily ....?

At the same time, a second one came from the left and swung his sword in a precise path toward Lian’s neck... but he only moved his head a few centimeters to the side.

The edge of the blade passed beside his skin, the attacker’s eyes widened for a moment, and before he had a chance to react, the young Vorhelm’s fist hit his stomach.

Of course, he did not use all of his raw strength, if he really hit with all his power, there would be no one left to interrogate.

THUD!

The air left the man’s lungs, his mouth opened, his feet lifted from the ground, and when he came down again ...he was no longer conscious.

The third attacker immediately attacked, but he kept his distance and threw a short spear toward Lian.

It had good speed.

But he raised his hand.

Clang.

The spear stopped in his hand.

The Awakeneds around them forgot about their own fights for a moment.

Lian looked at the weapon in his hand, then held it from the opposite end and threw it.

The native man instinctively pulled his body backward, but the spear did not hit him.

BOOM!

It struck the stone right beside his foot.

More than half of the shaft disappeared into the ground, and the man stared at it for a moment.

Then he slowly raised his head ...Lian was standing in front of him.

”What—”

Two fingers touched the side of his neck, his eyes rolled back, and his body fell to the ground.

The young Vorhelm did not even stop.

”Alright... why do I feel like this bastard has gotten stronger? Hey, One, what were you doing yesterday?” Kain glanced at him from several meters away and then turned his gaze toward the ant that had come beside him.

But the giant ant completely ignored him and kept its attention on its master.

”I can’t believe a creature as impressive as you is named One .... don’t you think it’s too stupid!? How about I call you Godly Emperor Of All Ants from now on?”

One stared at him without a reaction for a moment, then opened its mouth and seemed to let out something like a sigh ... and moved away from him.

”Hey! Where are you going?”

But he had no chance to care about the ant moving away, two more attackers came toward him.

Unlike Lian, he kept his distance, the light around his left hand stretched out and gathered around his forearm as a compressed layer.

He deflected the first attacker’s punch with the same hand and placed his other palm against his chest.

BOOM!

The light exploded and sent the man several meters backward, and at the same moment, a second native came from the side with a short sword.

Instead of confronting him directly, Kain fired a thin beam at the ground right in front of his feet.

The stone exploded and the attacker lost his balance, then he took one step forward and hit his side with a strike of light.

THUD!

The man was thrown toward the edge of the bridge.

”That’s it? You weaklings want to capture me with this kind of power? Now I understand why your god chose me.” Kain laughed loudly.

At that moment, three more natives came toward him from three directions.

One had a restraint ring, the second had a sword, and the third had a spear, and he also increased the light around his hands.

But before even one of them entered his attack range, something passed between all three of them.

The first one only felt a short hit under his jaw.

THUD!

His head moved backward.

The second one saw a wrist appear in front of his face for a moment.

BOOM!

His body hit the ground.

The third one did not even get a chance to see the attack.

THUD!

All three fell almost at the same time.

And Lian was standing between them.

Kain stayed silent for a few seconds, then the light around his hand became weaker.

”I guess ...thanks?” He looked at the three of them again, the poor guys did not even understand what had happened to them ...
