I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

”Well... the hiding went well until now.” Lian said with a calm smile.

For a few seconds, nothing happened.

Then the first growl was heard.

A wolf near the center of the courtyard showed its teeth, but instead of attacking, it lowered its ears. Another one took half a step back, and an even smaller wolf lowered its head for a moment.

This reaction was not unfamiliar to him, even though there were so many of them, he could still feel the instinctive fear they had toward him.

The creatures in front of him were all ordinary monsters.

All of them were at a higher level than him, but level was not the only thing monsters could understand. Something deeper than numbers and stats inside their bodies allowed them to sense the difference in rank.

At that moment....Awooooooooooooo—!

A deep howl came from inside the central fortress, and the stone under Lian’s feet shook, the black bone behind the neck of the first wolf began to glow.

Then the second.

The third.

In less than a few seconds, dozens of pieces of bone began to glow with the same weak blue-black light.

The wolves’ behavior immediately changed.

The fear that had been in their movements moments ago disappeared as if someone had pulled it out of their minds with their hand.

Their ears rose and their muscles tightened, their claws scratched against the stone, and one of the wolves jumped onto the wall...then another.

And suddenly, the entire courtyard came alive.

The young Vorhelm had still not moved and instead, he opened the System panel.

[Strength: 1500.]

[Soul: 800.]

[Speed: 800.]

[Mana: 1400.]

[Resistance: 900.]

[Stats points: 1544.]

One hundred points had come from reaching level twenty-four and twenty-nine points had remained from before.

And another one thousand four hundred and fifteen points were the result of Butcher after killing the seven previous wolves.

Only seven monsters had given him such a large amount of stats.

The first evolution had truly taken the natural skills of the monster class to another level.

The sound of claws climbing over the wall became closer and he calmly chose the options.

[Strength: 1500 → 1800.]

[Soul: 800 → 1100.]

[Speed: 800 → 1200.]

[Mana: 1400 → 1644.]

[Resistance: 900 → 1200.]

[1544 stats points consumed.]

[Free stats points remaining: 0.]

[Total Base Stats: 6944.]

A strong heat spread through his body.

His muscles tightened for a few moments and his bones felt heavier under his skin.

The flow of mana inside his veins became faster and his senses became so clear for a fraction of a second that he could distinguish the sound of every single wolf’s claws touching the stone.

The first wolf had almost reached the top of the wall and he finally closed the panel.

”Alright.”

The storage space opened.

A dark mass spread around his body and in the blink of an eye, black and gray plates locked onto his chest, arms, legs, and shoulders.

[World-Devourer Bastion activated.]

[Mountain Frame is active.]

[Giant’s Momentum is active.]

The wolf monster finally reached the top of the wall.

”Come at me now.” Naturally, to fight this many monsters with levels like these, he had to be in his best condition.

But he was not going to fight alone and the Hive Link activated.

[Special Hive member selected.]

[One.]

[Level: 20.]

[Evolution Saturation Status: Partial.]

[Summoning begins.]

Particles of light gathered beside Lian.

Boom!

One’s huge body landed on the wall and cracks spread under its six powerful legs.

Several wolves that had almost reached the top of the wall stopped instinctively when they saw the several-meter-tall creature.

One’s antennae moved as it looked at the large group of wolf monsters and then a simple command reached its mind through the link.

The cores are yours.

The giant ant’s antennae rose and the young Vorhelm took one step forward from the edge and ....then jumped, One also jumped down behind him.

And both of them jumped directly toward the pack.

The wolves expected the surrounded human to try to create distance.

That was their mistake.

Lian opened his right hand in the air.

[Frost Dominion]

Crack!

The first wall of ice rose from the floor of the courtyard.

Then the second.

The third.

The fourth.

But he did not freeze the entire area, there was no need.

The walls grew at precise angles and divided the large courtyard into several narrow paths within a few seconds.

The group of more than one hundred wolves was no longer one pack, but had been divided into groups of seven or eight.

The movement of the wolves behind interfered with the wolves in front, some were forced to go around and some were trapped behind the ice walls.

”Numbers only matter when you can attack at the same time.” He landed on the ground.

The first three wolves entered the path.

[Level: 31.]

[Level: 32.]

[Level: 32.]

They did not wait even one second and all three attacked.

He disappeared.

[Thunder Step]

Boom!

He appeared among them and the first wolf only had time to narrow its pupils.

[Glacial Reaper Claw]

A large arc of blue ice formed in front of Lian and with one movement ....shhhhhrrrk!

Two bodies were almost split in half at the same time and dark blood splashed onto the ice walls.

The third wolf opened its mouth from the left, he did not dodge and his shoulder moved down.

[Iron Fortress Charge]

The entire weight of the World-Devourer Bastion along with Giant’s Momentum was behind the impact.

Kaaaaaboooom!

The level thirty-two wolf’s body was sent backward like a projectile and crashed into the wolf behind it.

Both of them crashed into the third one and in the end, four monsters were thrown several meters across the ground together and did not get up again ...

Lian did not even look at them and turned his attention toward the other side of the battlefield, One was fighting two wolf monsters.

One had jumped onto the natural armor on its back and another was trying to bite its rear leg joint.

Instead of attacking directly, the giant ant lowered its huge body...it became still for a moment and suddenly spun with all its weight.

Booooom!

And the two wolves were sent directly into the ice wall.

Crack!

Boom!

Through Hive Dominion, the young Vorhelm could feel the condition of One’s entire body.

It had received a few small wounds but there was no serious danger, to make sure nothing happened, he created several ice spears and sent them toward the two wolves, wounding them badly enough to kill them.

After that, he turned his attention back to the next group, five wolves were coming through the narrow path.

One of them was slightly behind and seemed to be the strongest, and the movement of the others was based on its position.

[False Presence]

His presence split and one Lian went to the left while another went to the right.

The wolves hesitated for only a fraction of a second but that was enough.

And he suddenly appeared behind the leader.

[Thunder Calamity]

His fist disappeared inside blue-purple lightning.

Bــــoom!

The wolf’s skull exploded and without their leader, the other four lost their rhythm for a moment.

And the pressure of the Fallen Monster showed itself again, the first wolf stopped because of fear and the second moved backward.

Using this fear and confusion, he opened both hands.

[Cataclysm Pulse]

Booooooom!

The shockwave exploded through the ice corridor and four wolves were lifted from the ground, one crashed directly into the ice wall and its spine broke.

The other two fell on top of each other and the formation of the pack completely fell apart.

Lian walked through them and the notifications appeared in front of him.

Only a few seconds had passed since the battle began when the number of notifications became annoying.

”Summarize the repeated rewards until the end of the battle.” He said while pushing away another wolf’s claw.

[Request recorded.]

[Display of repeated rewards has been stopped until the end of the battle.]

”Much better.”

A growl came from above and Lian looked up.

A wolf almost three meters tall had jumped over one of the ice walls.

[Boneback Wolf.]

[Level: 35.]

Its huge jaws closed directly toward his head.

If it hit him, it could be dangerous but the teeth never touched anything, they did not have the chance to do so ....and his body turned into ash at the last moment.

[Ash Step]

The wolf passed through the pile of ash and its feet reached the ground.

Behind it, the ash formed the human body again and the young Vorhelm placed one hand on the back of the monster’s skull.

Glacial Reaper Claw formed from point-blank range.

Crack!

The ice broke through the skin and bones at the same time and the wolf’s head was separated from its neck and rolled several meters across the icy floor.

Without looking at the body, he moved toward the next enemy.

It seemed that this one, besides the Wolf Slayer reward, had also dropped one extra Fragment by itself ...
