I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Seris’s eyes slowly grew colder.

There were no tears, not even the slightest trace of sorrow could be seen on her face.

She was not the kind of person who would break down and cry.

No.

There was only one thing filling her entire body.

Pure anger.

That guy...

He had been her first friend.

Her only friend.

The only person who had ever made her feel emotions she had never even known existed within her.

And somehow, that same person had made her accept something even more unbelievable.

She had acknowledged him as her greatest rival.

Seris slowly rose to her feet.

Her body was damaged, her breathing heavy, but her grip on the broken sword in her hand never loosened.

She stared forward with eyes that had lost every trace of hesitation.

There was no sadness in them anymore.

Only anger.

And a determination that was far more frightening than tears could ever be.

”Very well.”

”If you’re really gone...then I have nothing left to hold back for.” Seris said with eyes that showed no hesitation anymore.

Until recently, she had never thought that she could become this angry over the death of someone, especially someone outside her family.

And a terrifying killing intent came from her body.

And she looked at her Evolution Quest, now killing this Calamity would not only be for her evolution, but also to calm her anger.

The mana in her body changed, not like her previous skills, but something deeper and more dangerous.

A panel opened in front of her vision.

[Swordheart Override]

[Safe Duration: 30 seconds]

[Warning! After the safe duration ends, if the skill remains active, permanent damage to the structure of the body and soul is possible]

Seris looked at the last line for a moment, then a very small and cold smile appeared on her face.

”Thirty seconds? That’s too much.” She said in a rough tone and tightened her fingers around the hilt.

Then her entire body trembled, the mana veins inside her muscles lit up like fire, and a huge amount of power spread from the center of her body to all of her limbs.

Her heart gave one heavy beat.

Then a second beat.

The speed of her blood flow increased, her muscles hurt for a moment and then the pain almost disappeared.

Time became slow for her, the dust particles in the air could now be seen one by one.

The movement of the huge chain in the distance that had looked fast a few seconds ago, now looked almost slow.

A panel appeared at the corner of her vision.

[29.8]

Seris disappeared, and the only thing left where she had been standing was a small explosion of dust.

Black Silence turned her head, but the girl appeared from the left.

[Moonless Severance.]

And she struck with her sword!

Lian raised his hand to respond, but before they made contact, Seris disappeared and suddenly the second strike came from behind.

Third from above.

Fourth from below.

For the first time, Black Silence was forced to use both hands, lines of cuts appeared in the air one after another.

Seris kept changing her position.

[Thousand Petal swordstorm.]

This time there were not dozens of lines.

Hundreds.

The area around Lian was filled with compressed sword cuts in less than a second.

Black Silence broke several strikes, deflected several others, and dodged some.

But not all of them, the first cut landed on his arm, the second on his chest and the third passed beside his neck, a thin line of blood appeared.

Seris saw it, her eyes became sharper, she had finally managed to cause damage!

[24.1]

She moved close again.

[King’s Breaker.]

The sword struck Lian’s elbow joint directly, his arm was actually pushed back and she turned, the heel of her foot struck his side.

His body was pushed back several meters, the stone under his feet cracked.

”Finally.” Seris said with a very cold smile and kept her eyes on the line of blood beside Lian’s face.

But she was not too happy, because she knew that after the 30 seconds ended and the safe period was over, for every second she used the skill after that, the internal structure of her body would start to collapse.

If her use of this skill went beyond one minute, she might become almost completely paralyzed.

It was true that the skill gave its user a huge amount of power, after all, it was a Holy Rank skill, but it could also cause even greater damage.

There was silence for a moment, then something changed, the lips of Black Silence slowly moved upward.

Seris became still, this was the first smile she had seen from him since he came out of the cocoon.

But it looked nothing like the smile of the real Lian, it was too wide, too calm, like a creature that had never had a human face had just learned how these muscles should move.

The smile looked wrong on Lian’s face and the purple light in his eyes became stronger.

And for the first time and finally...he spoke!

”You have a good body too.” Black Silence said in Lian’s same voice but with a completely unfamiliar tone and kept his evil smile.

The Young Pendragon did not move for a moment, not because of the sentence but because of the voice itself...it was the same voice.

But there was nothing of Lian in the way it was being used.

The Calamity tilted his head slightly and examined Seris’s body like a tool.

”Strong, fast, and adaptable.” He said calmly and his eyes moved over Seris’s legs and shoulders as if he was announcing the result of an examination.

”Get lost.” Seris answered angrily and gathered her mana again, she felt like a pervert was staring at her right now.

Black Silence did not care, he raised his hands and looked at his own fingers.

At his forearm and then at Lian’s body.

”I could have used you too.” The Calamity said with cold satisfaction and there was a strange excitement in his voice.

Seris attacked.

But Black Silence moved back this time, not because of fear but only to continue speaking.

”Are there many bodies like yours in your world?” His hunger was clear, even thinking about the world in front of him, a world that had such creatures and high-quality food, made him salivate.

”You know, you’re really disgusting.” Seris said with disgust, the idea of a creature talking about humans as if they were prey and food was not pleasant at all.

”But among all those bodies, I doubt any of them are as good as this one...so why should I change it?” The Calamity said with the same smile and slowly opened and closed his fingers.

Seris paused for a moment and the time panel at the corner of her vision was going down.

[18.6]

But the next sentence made her forget even the passage of time for a moment.

”This is no longer a vessel.” Black Silence said in an almost possessive tone and placed his hand on Lian’s chest.

”This body is mine.” The satisfaction in his voice was more frightening than any threat.

Something cold went down inside Seris, she wanted to explode from anger, she had never wanted to kill something this badly!

Every word that came out of that mouth made her want even more to tear apart this damn creature, this bastard whose hobby was destroying worlds, with her own hands!

”I finally found a body that does not limit my hunger.” The Calamity continued with a smile and the purple light in his eyes became stronger.

”A body that can grow.”

”A body that can learn to devour.”

The Young Pendragon got stuck on that same word for a moment.

Devour.

Something about that sentence was not normal, it was as if the Calamity was not only talking about his own power, as if he had found something inside Lian’s body that had even excited him.

[14.9]

Seris no longer wasted time and attacked again, but now her anger was even stronger.

”I said that body is not yours!” She attacked with an angry shout and sent her sword from the right.

Black Silence blocked the strike with his forearm, a deep cut appeared, blood came out but his smile did not disappear.

”It is now.” He finally said simply
