I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Rindo gave him a brief look, but now was not the time for centuries-old beliefs to fall apart.

”Everyone, get closer.” he said firmly and gathered the group with a hand gesture.

Everyone moved a few steps toward him, Seris stood beside One, Darian had taken his bow from his back.

Seraphina stood beside Liana, Cassian, Selina, and Aren also got ready.

”The plan is the same.” He pointed at the five figures behind Lian with his hand.

”We separate these five from Lian, and we keep them busy for as long as necessary.” Rindo said in a short and serious tone, then his eyes stopped on Seris.

”You go directly for the Calamity.” Rindo continued.

Seris nodded with a cold calmness, and then everyone’s eyes almost naturally turned toward Darian.

He was the only one who had a very direct personal reason to disagree, the Calamity was inside his own brother’s body, but Darian only touched the string of his bow with one finger.

”I heard the plan.” The Vorhelm said without even taking his eyes off Lian.

”You don’t have a problem with it?” Rindo asked with some doubt, after all, this was about his brother, maybe he wanted to go save his brother himself...?

”If I wanted to disagree, I would have done it by now.” Darian seemed to really not care, and simply answered, then looked toward his brother again.

Seris frowned very slightly, this answer should have made them feel relieved, but it did not, it was too easy and too fast.

The man who had been asking about Lian a few hours ago and had clearly joined them to find him, had now accepted Seris going directly toward his brother’s body without even asking a single question about what exactly ”fighting the Calamity” meant.

A bad feeling appeared in her mind again, the same feeling she had from the first time she met Darian.

But she looked away from him, there was a more important matter now, later, if there was a later.

”I think it is time, you said you have a way to suppress or weaken them.” Liana said seriously and looked at Seraphina.

”I do.” Seraphina answered and moved away from the group.

She walked a few steps forward, her eyes fixed on the four remaining chains, for several seconds she only stared at them, at what remained inside them.

The will and pieces of the souls of those who had given their lives to create that seal.

She raised her right hand, the mana around her body changed, a very old feeling appeared in the air.

Even Sindar turned his head toward her, for some strange reason, looking at her gave him a familiar feeling that he really did not like.

[Final Command]

Seraphina closed her eyes, at first nothing happened, then suddenly a thin line of light came out from her palm.

It went directly toward one of the four chains.

The second line.

The third.

The fourth.

Four lines of light connected Seraphina’s body to the four remaining chains, for a moment everything stayed still.

Then the ground shook.

GRRRRRRRR!

The first chain moved, the rings that had been lying on the ground for years slowly rose from the dirt.

Each ring rose like a huge tower, then the second chain, the third, and finally the fourth.

The rocks around them broke apart, the ground cracked and pieces of stone were thrown several meters into the air.

For the first time after hundreds of years, the four remaining chains moved not only as seals but also as weapons.

The five undead immediately reacted.

The swordsman raised his head, the root controller took a step back, and the mage frowned, and the last one lowered his body.

Even Sindar took a step back, now he understood why that annoying familiar feeling he was getting from that girl was there.

This girl is Aurelia’s heir!

And she was using that woman’s special skill! That damn skill that he knew very well!

[The remaining will of the seven awakened heroes has awakened.]

[Temporary Seal Command activated.]

[Five targets have been affected.]

A few seconds later, a more important message appeared.

[Power Suppression: 30%, Flight Suppression, Spirit Power Suppression: 30%]

[Remaining Time: 10:00]

”Thirty percent? This is great!” Rindo said in disbelief and gave a short smile.

What Seraphina had done caused thirty percent of the power of the five Cindari to be suppressed for ten minutes! Thirty percent was a very large amount.

With this amount, they could fight them much better and maybe they could do much more than just buy time.

But another question also came to his mind ... how did this girl do this?

After all, he did not know that she had obtained a legacy.

Sweat had already appeared on Seraphina’s forehead, four lines of light were passing through her hands and body, and every time the chains moved, the muscles in her arms trembled.

”This is the best I can do, as long as I stay here, around thirty percent of their power will be suppressed.” She said between heavy breaths and pressed her teeth together.

Rindo looked at the five enemies, until a few minutes ago, even with their numerical advantage, their chance of success had been very low.

The levels of the five creatures were between thirty-four and thirty-eight, this was a great help to them and really deserved thanks.

”Everyone ready, nobody tries to kill them.” He shouted and spread his eyes across the group.

”The goal is only to hold them, ten minutes, every second we buy belongs to Seris.”

The panel flashed again.

[Remaining Time: 09:53]

Seris looked at the number, then at Lian, he was still standing beside the fourth chain, he had shown no reaction to the movement of the chains.

He did not even look at the group, as if the battle that was about to begin had no importance to him.

His hand was still on the chain and he was trying to break the fourth chain as well.

”One.” The Young Pendragon drew her sword and said shortly.

The giant ant raised its antennae, its body lowered, ready to run.

But before anyone could move, the first chain under Seraphina’s command moved through the air like a huge whip.

The wind caused by its movement pushed the dust away for hundreds of meters and the huge ring came down directly between the five undead.

BOOOOOOM!

The ground exploded.

The rocks broke apart.

The five figures were forced to move away from each other.

”Now!” Rindo shouted and the group moved.

There was no time to waste, the battle that could decide the future of two worlds had finally begun.

The swordsman was the first to come out of the dust, he was neither in a hurry nor angry, he simply pulled his sword out of its sheath in one movement.

Tavern, Cassian, and two Cindari soldiers stood directly in front of him.

The swordsman took a step and Tavern attacked at the same time, the two blades collided.

Clang!

Tavern immediately understood that he had made a mistake, his hand became numb from the impact and the swordsman had not even taken a step back.

The second attack came and he barely defended against it.

The third attack—

The blade passed less than an inch from his neck.

If one of the Cindari had not forced the swordsman to change direction with an attack from the side at that exact moment, Tavern’s head would have fallen to the ground.

He jumped back and his breathing became faster.

There were no flashy skills, only swordsmanship, perfect, clean, and without a single extra movement.

After those three attacks, he understood that if the thirty percent suppression had not existed, the first clash would probably have been the last clash of his life.

The difference in power was too great even for him with his level, so only God knew how it was going to be for the Humans.

Of course, a large part of the difference in power also came from the difference in experience, apart from level, their opponents were creatures who were older than them, had lived longer, and had much more experience.

”So the legends were not lying about everything, at least.” Tavern said through clenched teeth and raised his guard again

The swordsman did not answer and only attacked.
