Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Extreme Training Decision

Ship-Time: 09:23

Runar woke first, his internal cultivation clock precise to the second. Celestia was still sleeping—or more accurately, still resting in that peaceful state between meditation and sleep that high-level cultivators could maintain.

He didn’t move, not wanting to disturb her. Instead, he used the time to think.

Less than three days until the combat assessment, he considered. Pirates in the Crimson Nebula sector—Satellite Orbit to Planetary Core realm cultivators, possibly some Stellar Ignition if they’re well-organized.

The prospect didn’t concern him. He’d fought countless Supernova realm experts during his training in the Pocket Universe. Celestia had similar experience. The assessment would be practically trivial for them compared to what they’d already faced.

But that didn’t mean they should waste time.

Celestia stirred against him, silver-blue eyes opening slowly. ”Morning,” she murmured.

”Morning,” Runar replied. ”Sleep well?”

”Perfectly.” She stretched slightly, cat-like, then settled back against him. ”What time is it?”

”09:23.”

”Early still.” She was quiet for a moment, then: ”I can feel you thinking. What’s on your mind?”

Runar smiled. Sixteen years together meant they could read each other effortlessly.

”I was thinking we should resume our training,” he said. ”We took a break when we left Telstra, but we still have time before the assessment.”

Celestia’s eyes sharpened with interest. ”The Pocket Universe?”

”For you, yes,” Runar said. ”But I’ll be training separately this time. I won’t be joining you inside.”

Celestia sat up slightly, looking at him with curiosity. ”Where will you be training?”

”The Infinite Qi Realm,” Runar explained. ”I’m planning to complete the Satellite Orbit realm entirely and prepare for my breakthrough to Planetary Core. The infinite qi there will let me advance faster than anywhere else.”

”How long will you be gone?”

”Subjectively, maybe two weeks,” Runar said. ”But with the time dilation, it’ll only be a few minutes in real time. Same for you in the Pocket Universe—you can train for as long as you need.”

Celestia nodded slowly. ”We’ll be separated during the training.”

”Only subjectively,” Runar assured her. ”From an outside perspective, we’ll both be gone for just a few minutes. When we emerge, barely any time will have passed.”

”I understand.” She leaned up and kissed him gently. ”Then let’s make the most of it. I want to push past Stage 500 at minimum.”

”And I’ll complete Satellite Orbit and set up the perfect foundation for my breakthrough,” Runar said.

They spent the next hour preparing—gathering any resources they might need, discussing their individual training goals, ensuring they were both ready for extended cultivation sessions.

Finally, they stood together in the main living area of Suite 4701.

”Ready?” Runar asked.

”Ready,” Celestia confirmed.

Runar activated the system interface and sent her into the Pocket Universe.

Space rippled around Celestia. One moment she was standing in the suite, the next she found herself in the vast training grounds where they’d spent sixteen years together. The familiar landscape stretched out before her—mountains in the distance, forests, rivers, and the cities where they’d taken their breaks.

Home, she thought with a small smile.

She immediately began walking toward the central cultivation zone, already planning her training regimen. Stage 451 was just the beginning. She had hundreds of stages to advance through, techniques to refine, and Laws to deepen.

The Pocket Universe’s dense qi welcomed her like an old friend.

Back in Suite 4701, Runar stood alone.

He took a deep breath, centered himself, and activated the system interface.

He selected [Confirm].

Reality shifted.

The suite vanished, replaced by a dimension that defied normal comprehension. The Infinite Qi Realm stretched infinitely in all directions—a space constructed entirely from cultivated energy where qi itself formed the substrate of reality.

Runar opened his eyes to swirling galaxies of compressed qi rotating above him, an ocean of liquid spiritual energy stretching below, and formations made from pure Law-level comprehension stabilizing the impossible environment around him.

The qi density here was beyond measurement. Each breath contained more energy than most cultivators would absorb in years.

He sat cross-legged in the center of the space and activated the Eternal Nexus Ascension technique.

His black hole dantian spun into existence, the 1,717 orbital spheres beginning their gravitational dance. The infinite qi of this realm began flowing inward—not as a trickle or stream, but as an endless ocean.

Stage 18, Runar thought, and began.

The cultivation process was methodical, almost meditative in its intensity.

Each stage required 101 new orbital spheres, and each sphere needed to be constructed with perfect precision—subatomic qi compression, flawless gravitational alignment, harmonic resonance with every other sphere in the system.

In normal space, this would take months per stage even with his abilities.

Here, with infinite qi pouring into his dantian, each stage took only hours.

Stage 18 completed.

1,818 orbital spheres.

Cultivation speed: ×5,400,000.

Stage 19 completed.

1,919 orbital spheres.

Cultivation speed: ×5,600,000.

The numbers climbed steadily. Runar’s Heaven-Defying Comprehension Mantra ran at full capacity, processing the astronomical complexity of managing thousands of interconnected gravitational systems. His 100 parallel thought streams calculated orbital mechanics, adjusted resonance patterns, and maintained perfect stability.

The Universal Fusion Body Tempering activated automatically with each advancement. His 1,049 Laws fused continuously into his physical form, making his body qualitatively stronger with every stage. Bones became denser, meridians wider, cells more refined.

His combat power grew proportionally. Where he’d been able to fight normal Late Supernova cultivators before, now he could match normal Peak Supernova realm opponents—as long as they hadn’t reached high levels of Rule comprehension. His fusion of Laws gave him an edge in versatility and power, but true genius Supernova cultivators who’d mastered Rules to significant depths would smash him like an ant.

Stage 25 completed.

2,525 orbital spheres.

Cultivation speed: ×7,200,000.

Combat power: Peak Supernova (normal opponents only).

Stage 30 completed.

3,030 orbital spheres.

Cultivation speed: ×9,600,000.

He was approaching the final stage.

Finally, after nine days of continuous cultivation inside the Infinite Qi Realm, Runar opened his eyes.

Stage 33—the peak of Satellite Orbit realm.

3,333 orbital spheres rotated in perfect, impossible harmony around his black hole dantian. Each sphere was a masterwork of qi compression, containing energy density that would make Supernova realm cultivators weep with envy.

But Runar wasn’t satisfied.

Not yet, he thought, examining the orbital system with his Runic Omniscient Eyes.

The spheres were powerful, yes. Each one contained qi compressed to subatomic precision. But they could be better. They could be perfect.

He began the second condensation cycle.

Starting from the first sphere, he drew in even more infinite qi—compressing it beyond what he’d thought possible, pushing the boundaries of energy density into realms that bordered on Rule-level intensity.

The first sphere, already containing enough energy to destroy a small galaxy, began absorbing more qi. The energy compressed tighter, denser, the very atoms of qi squeezed into configurations that defied conventional physics.

When he finished, that single sphere contained the approximate energy of thousands of galaxy clusters—compressed into a space smaller than a marble.

Then he moved to the second sphere.

Then the third.

Then the fourth.

One by one, he refined each of the 3,333 orbital spheres to absolute perfection. The process was painstaking, requiring complete focus and flawless execution. A single mistake would destabilize the entire system.

Three more days passed inside the Infinite Qi Realm.

When Runar finally completed the second condensation cycle, he examined his dantian again.

3,333 orbital spheres, each one containing the energy of thousands of galaxy clusters, all rotating in perfect gravitational harmony.

Beautiful, he thought. But still incomplete.

He had 1,049 Laws mastered to 100% comprehension.

But his technique’s final form required 3,333 Laws—one Law integrated into each orbital sphere.

He was missing 2,284 Laws.
